Daily Concoctions?

Im a full time student and work nights so I started drinking a 1gallon jug of PP BCAA's and Xtend (2 scoops each) sipped throughout the day. I just recently tried ON's Amino Energy and it kind of sparked an idea to start mixing my own concoction and was wondering how many guys do this. I would really like to hear what you've decided and how it worked out.

I was thinking...

2 scoops of xtend- for taste mainly
2 scoops of PP BCAA's
5g of mono
NP bulk cissus
and i wanted to add around 2-300mg of caffeine for sustained energy

looking forward to hearing input!
 
1 scoop of concentrated Meth should help...
 
Cissus tastes horrible good luck mixing that in there and why would you mix xtend with more bcaa? Xtend is already expensive so just ix bulk bcaa with a sorts drink.
 
Since xtend is exensive he is only using 2 scoops as he said for taste while using a cheaper BCAA to get more BCAAS 2 scoops of xtend is hardly enough for an overall day hence why he is adding more. I personally just sip on 6 scoops of xtend throughout the day in a gallon jug cause im too poor for the other stuff lol i take super cissus tabs though thats a must by USPlabs and im not currently on creatine.

But it looks good i worry about the Bulk cissus in there as mentioned the xtend may mask its flavor to some xtent but it will be trial and error till you figure out how to get the taste good.

ya basically what jumpshot said, i get 90 servings of xtend and 100 servings (2 scoops) of primordials BCAAs for $90, hard to beat even with a sports drink for price

im currently taking USP's cissus also just thought i copuld save some money mixing in bulk powder but wasnt aware of the taste, think ill still give it a try though. Also primordials bulk BCAA's are cheaper than xtend, thats why i mix it (referring to the costs)

Anyone know of a good bulk caffeine that doesnt taste like arsh?
 
Caffeine anhydrous can be purchased pretty cheap in bulk. SNS makes piracetam bulk - thats a good addition for the awareness and wakening...either that or Focus XT. The BCAA mix looks straight, thats really matter of choice. You could do creatine mono but be aware it looses its potency kinda quickly once reconstituted. I dont know anything about cissus. Flavor is gonna be a hit or miss game till you find the right balance. Add crystal light or something if its not quite right.

I read somewhere your'e supposed to "sip" water throughout or inbetween sets, not chug.
 
Maybe chug is an over dramatization, but its definitely not just a small swig.

Don't "sip" BCAAs fyi. You want a leucine spike, not hill.

I have heard of this but i ask the same question, is it counter productive? Ive always understood BCAA's as a good resource for when you're on the go and can act as constant supply for your recovery. Just to be clear I still get 6 meals a day in, just sometimes I might go 3-4 hrs without eating.

Im not sure the seriousness of the "chug in between sets" but obviously pre workout and intra my intake is greatly increased vs the rest of the night when i sip at leisure. Would that create enough of a spike?
 
Dont sip, it causes a refactory response to protein synthesis, you dont want that. The 6 meal a day thing is a myth, you can deff go way longer without a meal then 3-4 hrs. Layne says that sipping bcaas intra-wo is fine, 1-2 hr period. Ideally you would have 4-5 meals a day 4-6 hrs apart with 5g bcaa or leucine spiked between them. then have bcaa or leucine spiked pre-wo since blood amino levels will be elevated for 2hrs after the spike and then spike again post wo.
 
INteresting perspective. Never heard of this approach. You have any literature on that, SweetLou?

Never said it's counterproductive. You want a big leucine spike in one shot...not a slow release.

EDIT: Since a lot of people are asking, you want 0.045g Leucine/kg BW within ~ 15-30 minutes. After this spike is achieved, then you can sip for another hour or two, before you must spike it again.
 
you can find laynes research on optimal meal timing. Ill have to dig it up again if you want. And the research cooper is talking about is from scivation.
 
That does make sense - Ive always felt better about capsule form BCAAs over the powder/drink. Ill look into it. Ive read a lot off the Scivation material before.
