Dad's Corner

Today is my son's 12th birthday. Such a great little dude even though he's constantly corrupted by his 3 sisters.

Spent time with the boys this weekend. Oldest is turning 5 Thursday....man has life changed.

just got done decorating our daughters room who is due in july. Our boy is 2 and i have no clue where the 2 years went. Best thing ever but also the craziest-really puts things into perspective for me.

Ha...with one you get to play man to man...now you have to learn to play zone with 2 kids. :D

lol-the struggle is real. I always said i was done at 2 but feel like i could have more. We will see what tune i am singing after our girl is here

I was done at two...then had two more. It was worth it.

That's great man! My little boy is due in September and our 2 year little girl is so excited!

One of my daughters took her first unassisted steps the other day, while the other watched in fascination. I almost cried, the wife actually did! It was the proudest moment I've had (since they were born)

I've cried/almost cried at so many milestones with ours it's crazy. She's 20 months old now and will say "LOVE YOU" and give us a kiss now. First time she did that I cried like chicks at the end of titanic, lol. And watch out now that one is walking, she'll never slow down now!

So, my wife is at a family wedding in TX, and I'm left here in MA with my girls. It's day 3 of 5 and I'm doing well, but man is this a lot of work!! The girls are in the "monkey see / monkey do" phase, which can be fun but brutal at the same time, I have a whole new appreciation for the stay at home moms out there. I'll take a 40hr, blue collar work week any time... That's way easier than this, but not as much fun

Celebrated my oldest son's 5th bday today with the grandparents. Was a great day. Can't believe its been 5 years.

I did that for a month while my wife was in CA for training. I'm enjoy your five days.

So my wife is 34 weeks and we spent all night at the hospital due to early contractions. They were literally going to induce and then 45 minutes later sent us home on bed rest. They said her water broke and then they said it didn't. It was an extremely stressful night. She is on bed rest but idk how long our baby girl will stay in there. Anyone else have a premature baby? (Only positive stories please) too emotional right now lol. I know survival rate etc is extremely high at 34 weeks but they just say lung development could keep her in the nicu for a few weeks.

34 weeks is early but not crazy early. Usually not a problem if there haven't been any prior health concerns. If her water didn't break, you're fine..if it did, they wouldn't have sent you home.

i know it was so weird. I guess a swab test came back negative for the water breaking but the nurse said she looked at something under the microscope and it was amniotic fluid. Idk if the nurse was new or what but I definitely did not feel confident with her. it was a very insane night but thanks for the encouraging words man

My girls were born at 34 weeks and were healthy as can be. They were only 4lbs 11oz, but it's not really size the Dr's worry about, it's lung function, and both were 100%. While staying in longer is better for them, 34 weeks is not too bad. Stay calm, your wife is worried enough and she will need you to be strong as a rock. Keep us posted

Aww, I wake up to all these wonderful stories. It makes me want to be a mommy.

Too darn cute!!!!

Let me guess...

The oldest is on the left!!! :)

Lol, your dog is so cute, too!

Happy fathers to all the dad's out there! I got to golf yesterday and spending the day with family and grilling today. Life is good

Happy fathers day everyone.

Good thread, surprised I didn't run across it sooner.

Awesome!

Super cute kids there! Enjoy it

My kids are traveling to see their grandparents for a couple weeks. I'll be meeting them in a week but I wont get to fly with them. Why do I get so damn nervous and anxious when they have to fly? I hate it.

Leaving tomorrow for a 2 week TDY. Haven't been away from my girls this long yet.... Gonna suck!!

I couldn't imagine being away from my boy for 2 weeks. That does suck

Good luck man!! It'll be hard but there's no feeling in the world like that hug when you get back. Longest I've gone is a week

Auntie's corner.

I love coming home to see the biggest smile in the world and him running to me with open arms.

Children are so pure and innocent. Whenever I am down, I just grab him and hold him tight and it calms my heart.

On top of leaving, one of my girls has to go to the Dr tomorrow for an ultrasound for a hard lump on her tummy. I'm shîtting brick right now. I hope it's just poop backed up in her system.
Puccah: that is a serious outfit on that kid!!

Best wishes for ultrasound. I hate when my girls have to go in for things like that.

On a positive my youngest, who is 10, just got cleared after 4 years from her Peanut /Tree Nut allergy.

Fingers cross! Everything will be ok.:)

My oldest has first day of kindergarten. I'm more nervous than he is.

Trust me, there will come a day when you'll be saying "why aren't you back in school yet?".

Ha! I know. He's all excited...I'm terrified. lol

That's how I was big time. Gotta admit I had a little teary moment watching her walk in to school that day. Seems like yesterday and she just started 2nd grade. The way time flies is freaky and now already at the stage where she wants to walk herself. It kills us.
