Continue halodrol cycle?

Natty22

Banned
I am day 2 in week four of my solo halo cycle. Still hard to tell my weight gain bc it seems to flucuate with how much I eat.
I ran the dose
75 week 1
75
100
100 week 4

the gains havent been too impressive. Vascularity increase..denser muscles..hard to say with strength bc I have lifted same amount of weight before (natural)

Overall I am not impressed. I wanted roid gains and I have upped my carbs to 400 plus a day and feel like the gains im making are the same I coulda made natty..

No sides have been felt at all..balls seem around the same. Question is should I continue the cycle to six weeks(worth the shutdown??)

Yes bump it to 6 weeks. Hdrol is takes a while to show it's true colors. Keep eating, run for 6 weeks.

Idk if the halodrol clone is bunk or if I am not a great responder

I mean I hit the 100 lbs dumbbells 20 reps and then got 120s for like 6 reps, but I have done something similar when I was on a natural bulk

It takes some people 3 1/2 to 4 weeks to even start seeing the results. Up your cals and press on to 6 weeks.

Dang really wish I woulda added test to this cycle. I will stick it out. Hope some gains come already!

maybe with diet try something like this
mainly lean proteins in morning, no fats gives you a high absorption rate and it gets into bloodstream fast. Egg whites and 1% milk for example. Or some chicken, lean beef etc
Then keep just eating the lean protein, 30 mins prior to training have more but have some fast acting carbs, high GI. Cereal and 1% milk why not? Tasty. Or a protein shake with some sugar, whatever. Then train.
After training, eat lots of carbs
Each meal after training, taper down the amount of carbs as you get more insulin resistant and increase fats
Fats slow absorption down and blunt insulin release, so last meal before bed should be a fatty meat and the aminos are released slowly through the night.

I found very good results doing this, especially with oral hormones. I do it once a week and keto diet the rest of the time, but every day is obviously fine too.
I also find better results taking lower doses for longer, than hitting it hard for a few weeks. No more than 8 weeks for orals

Could be diet. Could be bunk, doubt it. Helladrol took about 2 weeks to kick in for me. Since it is taking longer for you, go the max 6 weeks and kill it. Weeks 4/5/6 will be very fun.

Its getting a bit more fun. Ive gotten some comments about getting bigger at least. I was just hopen to add like half an inch to my arms and start getting 350 on bench like a roid man haha. I hope its not bunk got it on amazon. Kinda weird I have NO sides..knock on wood

All that is solid advice, but what about slow carbs effecting absorbtion? Also fast carbs before gym..wouldnt that be bad?

Why are you thinking it would be bad?
Carbohydrate foods don't really affect absorption of nutrients. OK fibre will a little, but this isn't really high fibre.
But you get really sensitive to insulin post training for around 6 hours. After then you drop into insulin resistance. So you want the biggest "hit" of insulin around the workout and the 6 hours after. Now eating a load of sugar is never going to be good, so keep them healthy, but some sugars around the training time is fine

You probably got bunk or likely underdosed stuff. Happens all the time with various supps and ph's.

Your results sound like 25mg of Halo is all ur gettin. Every guy I know, including myself, has seen 8-17lbs of dry gains on H-drol and some even at just 4 weeks.

If u didnt start adding ANY weight by end of week 2 then u got bunk stuff man. Even a lb or two is expected unless u arent eating enough. I did one cycle of Hdrol recently for 6 weeks. First 3 was a cut then last 3 I gave up on cutting and bulked. Put on 10lbs in 3 weeks and it was dry and I kept 9 of them.

And to trash this notion of carbs interfering with absorption, I ate 400-500g every day. Didnt do anything but cause rapid swelling of the muscle tissue.

I agree with this, and this is how it works for me.

You should weigh yourself 1x a week, in the morning before eating, same day and make compairisons week to week basis vs day to day

This is why I take pictures
Scale means little to nothing, especially in the short term. My weight differs 4kg over the week and I am a very light fella. If you gain 20lb lets say, and you don't look much better in photos then it's not really 20lb is it lol. I'd say in 6 weeks, I'd be very happy with 2kg of real muscle gain, you'd really notice the difference. 10kg over a year is a transformation

And thats when you have done it solo as well?? Well **** this sucks. I got solid pct and everything. The hdrol clone is made by hard rock nutrition if anyone here has expirience with them. I heard 20 lbs, but once I got on I thought those ppl just hyped halo, but bunk product makes more sense

Like enriched rice thats I eat about a cup pre....also have maltodextrin which is a fast carb

Maybe list a typical days food man, lets see the full picture. What's your training like as well? Lets minimise the options and narrow this down

Good point.

Alright start off with a cup of brown rice and 6 whole eggs. Pre workout some kinda carb typically more rice. After workout whey with milk. Dinner rice with some type of meat. Before bed just recently added rice and casein shake.

Oh and when I work(I work for starbucks) post workout consist of a very sugery drink with their protein idk lotta carbs 40-50 grams protein. And then use their protein edry two hours. Although their protein has some kinda weird fiber in it, so as badass as free protein is that protein creates bad gas (sorry gross)and with my high protein diet smells my gas smells like death, so I gotta eat tuna or something instead

Maybe increase your meat intake significantly. This is not a lot of calories man
Aim for 2kg of meat a day. You can easily do this at your size. Eat carbs post workout but focus on meat the rest of the time and see how you go on that. Go for the fattier cuts of meat, chicken wings are good as is ground beef. Try to put everything in some sort of stew as well and drink the juices. Chili is great for this, you can get a 7L slow cooker very cheap and cook chili with 6kg of regular ground beef with some beans and potatoes and that is a good 4 days worth of food.

Trying to eat clean with rice is fine, but you're going to struggle to pack away the calories. That's why stewing is so good really, it all absorbs into everything and seeps out into the juices which goes down easy. Look into a good goulash recipe, that is very good indeed. Or you can make your own, just bung the meat and potatoes, beans and whatever else and add your spices and tupperware the meals for the day. I'd really aim for 4,000kcal a day, either high carbs or high fats, not both but always high protein

4lbs of meat..... Are you insane?

I manage it just fine
Last night my dinner was 2kg of sausages
Guy needs to increase caloric intake significantly

4lbs of sausage, that has to be over 300g of protein. That is so unneeded, when you increase calories you add carbohydrates because they are anabolic and thats where your energy comes from. Protein is not nearly as anabolic as carbohydrates.

250g of protein
5,000kcal

Calories are what matters
I suggested that OP eat plenty of carbs as well. Lots of pros will eat in excess of 2g/lb in protein a day and if you're serious about gaining weight this is a good number to aim for. Can you get away with less? Sure why not. But why bother? I'd rather not try to see what I can "get away with".

Not trying to sound like a dick but OP is not a pro and is not on anywhere near the amount of gear they are on. You also have to factor in that pros are usually 230+ of solid muscle that needs fueling. It's apples to oranges. That amount of protein is just wasted not to mention how much that taxes the digestive system.

How exactly does it "tax the digestive system"
I'm all ears

Thank you for the suggestion, but that is still a lot alot of meat. Your are deff right I need to up my meet intake forsure...it also sucks bc I am in college and budget bulking. Bulking is my weak point no doubt

I'm not going to sit here and give you a bio lesson. Consuming that amount of proteins leads to the development of toxic ketones

Toxic Ketones from upping his protein intake to 2 grams per/lb a day for his last couple weeks on Hdrol is probably the least of his worries lol. it can only help weeks 4-6 is where hdrol really kicks in and a little extra protein wont hurt i would shoot for 1.5 grams per lb of bodyweight though.

I agree. I meant that in much more of a long term timeframe. There's not a ton of research on the long term effects of high protein consumption but from what I've read it seems that there could be potential dangers in a high protein diet over a period of time when everyone seems to over-indulge themselves in protein within the bodybuilding world.

Chicken wings are often cheap. Here in Australia I get them $2 a kilo! A kilo is 2220kcal and 190g of protein, 160g of fats
You don't "have" to eat that much but the take home point is to increase calories significantly. Oats are also going to be good, are the cheaper than rice? They have extra protein in them as well. I am cutting body fat at the moment and it actually costs me more than when I am eating to gain weight lol. Sausages are also a good source of calories but the quality of the meat is questionable. Personally I don't worry about that, because I always keep protein high enough that I have plenty of headroom. Plus meat is the tastiest food lol. Breakfast cereal is pretty cheap also, you can usually get a load of chocolate rice crispies for a few dollars and milk is cheap as well. I spend $25 a week on meat when cutting and $15 when bulking so if you shop around you can get it all cheap for sure

Do you lead a team of researchers? Are you a doctor? What makes you think everything you have to say is right? I can tell you're surrounded by this thick cloud of broscience that leads you to these fruitless conclusions on so many topics on this board. You think the advice that you give out was simply the word of God. Understand that's it's not always black and white. I've seen some of the actual potential dangers of diets far too focused on protein consumption. It's not always a good thing to overload on protein. Where have you seen a study that proves that consuming THAT much of an excess of protein is actually beneficial?

>So here’s my recommendation, strength/power athletes should aim for 1.5 g/lb protein per day
>If you’re Jeff Lewis, I imagine your protein requirements are basically ‘All of it’ or perhaps ‘A cow’. Per day.
>I’d add that athletes who are using anabolics may wish to take this even higher, 2 g/lb (4.4 g/kg) or possibly higher. Again, very little research here
>Essentially, a high protein intake won’t hurt an athlete (basically everything you may have read about the dangers of high protein intakes is nonsense), it may provide small benefits of importance to elite athletes and, at the end of the day athletes and coaches don’t give a **** about pedantic scientific debates over amino acid metabolism that gives researchers and nerds like me a giant hardon. Admittedly, they didn’t put it in exactly those terms but that’s the gist of it.

It's more or less the author's opinion on necessary protein consumption. I'm not here to hijack the OP's thread. OP, if you can eat 4lbs of meat a day and also hit your ideal carb and fat numbers, by all means go ahead. I think upping your carb intake along with a moderate fat intake is the key for increasing your gains however.

I can't argue with that

Sounds like you're struggling here OP and fairly new to this. While you learn about diet in more detail and find out what's good for you, I'll tell you the way I did it when I first started. It's not clean, will likely get flamed and you aren't going to look like a cover model doing it, but for bulking, it works. I put 28lbs on in two months doing this years ago, it was dirty and needing cutting after but you should have no problem with that if you're struggling in the first place. And the tip is...

...milk. And lots of it. I used to drink between 6 and 8 litres of the full fat stuff per day. All day, every day when I was bulking. I was never seen without a bottle of it, and used to just keep sipping it through the day. You'll want more carbs around your training, and faster release protein immediately after, but in a simple sense, this will supply you with protein and calories all through the day. Eat your meals normally, and you'll gain.

In a few months time when you've put this dirty weight on and realised there are better ways of doing it, start to refine your diet and sub things in and out. But if it really is a struggle to gain, and you're on a budget, then fire away.

...cue being flamed...!!

Hey number 10... That's still better advice than saying eat 4 lbs of sausage ... Lol
The sodium alone would probly kill someone.

Haha.

4lbs of chicken is only 1600 calories anyways. You'd be so full from it alone that you'd probably have trouble making u the other 1500+ calories from carbs and fats, meaning u'd still not gain any weight. Just my thoughts.

I like a 1:2 or even a 1:3 ratio of protein to carbs and let the fats work themselves out. 200g protein & 400g carbs works out to 2400 calories.

Having lots of carbs provides an anabolic environment due to high insulin levels. However, this is also why smaller more frequent meals are recommended since chronically high insulin will reduce sensitivity leading to diabetic tendencies and fat gain.

Toxic ketones from 300g of protein a day?
lmao just lmao

Ketones are only produced when you have no carbs coming in, I also lold at that . Protein must he broken into amino acids before it can enter the CaC to be turned into ketones. Your body does not like to break down protein because it is not as favorable energy wise.

Oh yeah so yesterday I was up I guess 6 lbs....hard to say bc my weight flucuated while off cycle as well.

And with the rice I eat 3 cups a day is 2000 cals and like 400+ carbs..that Is okay for someone who weighs 176-77

Meats I am a bitch...and I will be honest my medicine(adderall) makes it all harder to eat that kinda mear

Adderall kills the appetite, dude.

That's your problem. You have yourself a pharmaceutical powered stimulant you're taking every day.

As I always do, I'll direct you to consider GHRP's in the future. They bring back the desire and satisfaction in eating all types of foods, and lots of it. I also assume that by 3 cups of rice, you mean 3 cups of uncooked rice? 3 cups yield after cooking is only about 450-600kcals. 3 cups of basmati uncooked, however, is 1/4 = 150kcals so it'd be 150kcals X 12 servings = 1800kcals.

Yeah I didn't explicitly say that. I meant if the OP was having a tough time bulking already and he tried to get in 4lb of meat a day it would probably be difficult for him to also get a proper carb intake. I just thought he was going to focus too much of his efforts on protein intake. Either way, it's more of a long term concern. As I said before, if the OP can eat 4lbs of meat a day and still get in a sufficient amount of carbs, he is fine.

I'm not a diet expert, but this guy needs to start at the beginning, not be told to go on a contest prep diet immediately. After a year or so of having one of this shake and one of that shake, this is what I ended up doing and it worked. I learned that the results aren't great and it's about more than weight though, so started refining things. He needs to start at this point and do his research as he goes on, he'll get to the point where he finds his own balance of what bits work for him, and what suits his goals. No doubt be back in a few months with a monster cut cycle saying, "some **** head on here told me to drink a gallon of milk a day and I can't see any of my gains!".

OP, if your appetite is shot, presumably you can still drink?

I agree with your milk recommendation. I've always had a tough time eating most of my calories when bulking. I then made sure I always had a gallon of whole milk in my fridge at all times. Made calorie intake much easier and convenient for me. Wasn't necessarily the leanest bulk ever but with the help of gear I'm sure it will be most beneficial for the OP.

Cheers. To be honest, I remember when I first started doing cycles. I was told I was too lightweight to play the sport I wanted, so aimed for 28lbs in 8 weeks. Didn't care what it looked like, and achieved it. I looked really puffy and swollen, but I was happy because I'd put it on and was "bigger". What happened? First training of the new season I prolapsed 2 discs in my lower back because I was too heavy and my body couldn't cope with the rapid change in my physique.

Nowadays, I never aim to "bulk", but aim for a goal on lifting or a physique goal. But thinking back to when I first started, I can totally understand the OP's mindset.

I'd bet very few people when they first started got it perfect, although saying that the OP probably shouldn't be cycling if he's no real experience first. That said, he's going to cycle irrespective, so he'll have to learn as he goes.

More importantly, if he's taking halo, and it converts to Turinabol (which I'm sure it does), then he has absolutely no hope of 20lbs in 6 weeks surely? For me T'bol wasn't a "mass gainer", but gave a mild strength Increase which was probably placebo and made me look a bit harder?! It's surely nothing on some of the wetter compounds out there for all out mass (my experience with oral PH's ended with M1T and Phera).

Yeah adderall makes food horrible it suckss..I was talking about one cup uncooked though. I also already considered thosebpeptides, but talked to someone on here and hd said I should wait a little longer first
