Are you keeping your negatives slow bass?I have seen some videos at IM where their negatives aren't slowed much at all,if any at all,and no one says anything.It's about dead over there.I asked a question about a week ago about a guys negatives being too fast,and no one has replied.That guy posted some more videos and same thing.If people respond to the vids and not me,I'm just going to answer my own question,and then thank me.It's pi$$ing me off as you can probbaly tell!!!He is an intense trainer,just seems like negatives are too fast for DC is all....His name is bruno if you haven't seen them yet.
nah, i'll have to check em out. that's why i don't visit there often, it's empty 24/7 lol. dante said that they don't NEED to be really slow, but there needs to be an emphasis on CONTROLLED. medium speed and 100% controlled is just fine. for me, i go a little slower than medium, whatever that would be :lol:

I think I said it in this log,but I like days off now with DC,BS.If you do it right....it's far from a good time walk in the park.It wears your @$$ out!!!!I have to get in the right mindset for my wo's.It usually starts when I get to the gym and see all the out of shape guys doing exercise after exercise and set after set of going through the motions.I get my wrist straps ready and tell myslef"time to show these skinny/fat punks how to train!!!"Then I get after it!!!I can finish a body part and move onto the next before they finsih their choice exercise and move onto the next exercise for the same muscle....Just read dogg pound at IM man,check out brunos videos to see how the intensity should be and read the stickies.You'll get it,trust me!!!You can use the search tool as well over there...
Cool bro, I'll do that for real. I always enjoy a totally new twist on training every once in a while. Have you ever done GVT (either one of you guys??)? That sht is fcuking brutal but it's a total 180 from DC.

cuz that was my forearms exercise, not for bi's. forearms are not supposed to be RP. unless i was given wrong info? they are to be straight sets of 12.

I peronally RP them all except for deads and sq's.Some are different though,I remeber reading that at IM but said fvck it!I don't see why calves and forearms cant be RP myself.I completely understand not rp'ing deads and sq's though.

looks like i may be a stupid little drone who does what he's told without thinking, when i am new to something. next time i WILL RP calves AND forearms :head:

Your right BG I went back and looked and the forearms and calves are all straight sets. The calves have that special static hold on both ends though...

nah bro, you can do a static hold on ANY set for extra muscle fiber annihilation. it's just 1 more aspect of DC training. there are no exercises that "must" have a static hold at the end of the set. just go by how you feel and if you're lagging on a body part, i'd apply the static hold to that body part's exercise myself. don't do it every session though, only throw in statics occasionally. it'd be too much to do rest pauses AND statics every single time. or would it? hmmmm....we'll see what da sauce has to say about dat. i'll give it a go maybe, we'll see what happens in 3 weeks or so :afro:
I'm doing them everytime now due to being on havoc,JJ.I learned from IM that partial reps are acceptable as well.Maybe you could alternate them.2 weeks with SH's,then 2 weeks with PR's.
that's basically how i do my statics. they're not "true" static holds. i do my last excruciating rep of the last RP set, do a partial rep, and hold it for as long as i possibly can. feels great![]()
Thats how I do them too.What I seen though was this guy bust out with several partial reps at the end of a set,that bruno guy.So I asked what was up with that and they responded that partial reps or static hiolds are acceptable.
