Charlton Heston Dead

That is sad. I have yet to become a member of the NRA, but I've been looking into it. I've read a lot about him, but never seen many of his movies. I've seen parts of some of them, but that's it.

I have a lot of respect for Charlton Heston. It is easy enough to be a celebrity and lend that celebrity to fashionable causes, but you don't exactly see the rich and famous putting themselves behind the causes that are unpopular in Hollywood.

Mr. Heston did just that, he lent his celebrity to one of the most important causes in our country: The Constitutional right for the citizenry to own guns. The Founding Fathers saw firsthand how precious liberty is, and how easy it is for a powerfull government to take your liberties away. An armed citizenry is a huge deterrent, and that makes you wonder why so many of our representatives seem so determined to make it harder and harder for us to own guns.

I am very thankful to Mr. Heston and his work to help keep us free from government oppression.

charlton heston was a psycho path.

Charlton was hired by the F.B.I during the April 1993 Waco stand-off with cult leader David Koresh, to play the voice of God while communicating with him. However the plan was never used.

An also the second Amendment says:

"A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms, shall not be infringed."

It doesnt say

"Any non-felon who wants a gun can have one to show off to his friends or kill defenseless animals on the weekend even though were no longer in the 1800's, and we have super-markets and refrigerators."

This is hilarious. Reps. :head::bruce3:

I have a lot of respect for Charlton Heston. He may not have been the biggest or the strongest man in Hollywood, but he was one of the original Badasses, and one of my favorite actors.
Ben Hur, Moses, The Omega Man (The ORIGINAL screen version of Robert Neville), Soilent Green, oh yeah, and Planet of the mutha truckin' Apes!
Dude was so awesome that in Waynes World 2, when they wanted a 'good actor' to play the gas station attendent to tell Wayne how to get to the church, who do they bring in? The big H, that's who.

From your cold, dead hand sir, you can finally lay down your rifle.

'You must spread some Reputation around before giving it to Charlton Heston again.'

1. An army composed of ordinary citizens rather than professional soldiers.
2. A military force that is not part of a regular army and is subject to call for service in an emergency.
3. The whole body of physically fit civilians eligible by law for military service.

What's your point, genius? We are all, by default, part of the Militia.

Yes I know that, but Charlton Heston was a great actor and the movie was a great adaptation of the books:

"Pillar of Fire" by Rev. J.H. Ingraham
"On Eagle's Wing" by Rev. A.E. Southon
"Prince of Egypt" by Dorothy Clarke Wilson
Thank you imdb.com! woohoo!
which were themselves adaptaions of another book...the name of which escapes me...
