Docs told me no supplementation, including protein powders/ bars while my testing is ongoing.

Wife: "how are you going to get all your protein now?"

Drove strait to the grocery store and stocked up on lean meats and every veggie I could find. I love variety and need a lot of volume to stay full.

Docs told me low sodium, gluten free, trans-fat free until they find the cause of my current conditions.

Breakfast today, huge omega-3 and egg white omelette with roasted reds and jalapeños.
Cinnamon & pumpkin spice oatmeal heated with pumpkin puree, love it.

Snack: broccoli salad with tomato and turkey + mrs. Dash extra spicy

Lunch was leftover inner-round lean roast beef and potatoes

Dinner is always a lean protein + assorted veggie mountain

Chicken breast, asparagus, brussels sprouts, radishes, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower.

3 years ago I wouldn't even touch a vegetable lol.

If anyone has any ideas that will fit my dietary restrictions I would love to hear them. Especially any slow-cooker recipes, for convenience.

I'm sure AM would rather be looking at cheat meals than my clean eating but maybe this will motivate me to stay on track.

Looks really good my man, now I'm hungry

Shrimp and gluten free pasta come to mind as food sources.

Pork loin roast, carrots, broccli and some chicken boion cubes for a slow cooked meal. 93/7 in marinaded in olive oil, pepper, cayenne pepper, paprika, oregano, and 1 to 2 tablespoons of red hot wing sauce or low sodium teriyaki sauce. Omelettes with the meat as a filler along with onions and red/green/yellow bell peppers.

Tomato chutney on a lean turkey burger topped with oregano and garlic pepper on some gluten free bread or buns.

kashi frozen pizza.

Plenty of options brother. Some calorie/nutrient dense options aswell.

Decided on dropping back in here when I find successful healthy recipes. Some users may appreciate the ideas

Tonight me and my wife both made healthy, low carb, paleo pizzas

Hers was on a cauliflower/cheese-based crust, which turned out surprisingly rigid and crust-like

She's a bit boring with pizza, just pepperoni.

I went for some loaded portobello-cap pizzas.
Tomato sauce, Diced chicken breast fried up with garlic & chili peppers, fat free jalapeño Jack cheese, red peppers, red onion
Topped with a bit of BBQ sauce.

Single crepe, Failed at taking pictures, by the time I had syrup on top I was salivating and demolished the stack.

Had this with a pumpkin pie smoothie, lots of puree around here I want to use up.

Smoothie was pumpkin puree + unsweetened almond milk + WF syrup + 1/2 banana + pumpkin spice, allspice, cinnamon + ice

On deck for later tonight, loving the slow-cooker lately, chicken cacciatore.

Cellucor's cinnamon swirl is probably one of the best tasting proteins on the market and it's a ISO base. A++

Been trying out a few of the Solution's recipes.

Treating myself to stay sane :) healthy treats

Went out for lunch yesterday and left myself next to nothing in my calorie allotment for dinner.

Enter filling low carb, low calorie pasta idea.

Invalid Link Removed

Oriental spiced peanut sauce pasta/shredded veggies

Whole pack of 0 net carb spaghetti
Shredded broccoli/carrot
Sauce made with no sodium chicken broth added to PB2 until right consistency, then added hot sauce and spice blend.

Whole bowl was under 100 cals lol, and very filling

Had some chicken breast with it, ended up dipping into the leftover sauce it turned out surprisingly well for me spontaneously winging it.

If I had more cals available I think sesame seeds or some form of slivered nut would be great in the pasta

Great thread that's making me hungrier as I read through! Good ideas in here. Thanks.

Glad it can be of use, I'm no chef/cook by any means but experimentation is a hobby and I will keep posting the ones that turn out.

Soon will start testing deserts as I am bringing some along to Xmas this year so I can indulge as well.

One I like to do, which isn't exactly low carb, but you can probably put your own spin on it - or just forget the rice altogether?

Anyway, this works with lamb or chicken, I prefer the lamb to be honest.

Season with Garam Masala and fry. Diced up jarred peppers and spring onions/shallots. Toss in with the meat.

Meanwhile heat a can of coconut cream with 2 TBS of Korma paste and juice of lemon. Bring to boil then let it simmer for a few mins.

Microwave brown rice with a few cloves and stir through some red split lentils, any leftover lemon juice can go in with this too if you like.

At the last minute, drizzle the meat and peppers with some organic honey and balsamic vinegar and take off the heat.

Lay them on top of rice and drizzle the Korma... OR if you did lamb cutlets for example, dip them into Korma sauce, then into some crushed poppadoms like Lamb Lollypops.
