Can you Love more than one?

Affairs...that's one thing I could never do. My fear is that the little hooligan in my pants will get the best of me when a hottie throws herself at me. Couldn't ever do the affair thing. One woman is too much work for me

Yeah man, stay away from them hot tail ho's! Woman have always been my quickest downfall. God forgives but wives & g/f's don't! I haven't cheated since I've had a ring on my finger (about 3 years now) but not a day goes by that some little hottie doesn't try to throw me the P. I just have to let it go, but it leaves me with this broken, deflated feeling. I'd like to think that I'm a strong man, but when I can't take my eyes off of her ass as she walks away, I just hate my weakness. :frustrate Pray for me bro!

I think you need to spend some time with yourself and find out what YOU truley want. Do you really love these women, or do you adore and like certain qualities in them? You can love many aspects of everyone, but you can't possibly be IN LOVE with all of them. True love is too emotionally consuming for you to love multiple people at once, IMO.

Well, we all live and learn and thats what I think this young man is trying to do, experience the full range of his emotions in a positive, productive way. Thank you for all of your insights. I am a believer that when I wake up in the morning I could be wrong about everything that I hold dear in the world. I try to see my life as a journey that has many directions and many teachers...some young and some old. I heard a great saying, "everyone great or small deserves a smile." Or something like that. I believe this to be true even with knowledge. Everyone great or small has something to add. So thank you again and I enjoy the dialogue.

I have a friend who does just this, and has, for about 9 years straight now. I think he is deficient in the right neurotransmitters or something because he doesn't care about anybody. He lusts for women and once he's got them, he moves on. He's got a few women who put up with what he does and "love" him, but most are thrown away like garbage.

guy sounds similar to me.
I lust after the ladies, but I keep them around for a while... ... usually they have other guys who do the 'boyfriend' gig. I just take them out somewhere and we go have sex and that is that. The brain thing might be right, I just cannot seem to like any woman enough to live the rest of my life with or be committed to.

I like this...but what if you are already in the midst of loving more than one woman. Try choosing just one to love if you love more. For me that is like choosing to drop my heart on the floor and step on it. I didn't choose to fall in love, I don't see how I can choose to fall out of it either. But I do agree that what you talk about is what a woman and a man both desearve.

I think you are mixing and matching things here. There is no problem whatsoever with being in love with any number of women - the problem is controlling your actions based on those emotions. The emotion itself is never, and could never be a problem, only the actions you take. I'm happily married, but doesn't mean I can't love another woman, I just can't take much action on it.

i think its possible for the OP to love more than one woman. And to be in love with more than one woman. There will be aspects about all of them he will be attracted to.
The limiting factor is that as other have said, its not acceptable in society.
But who cares what society thinks, do your thing.
I have never been in love, and I doubt i will ever be(personal philosophy), I do give kudos to those who are.
