Hello fellow bodybuilders! Need some advice here, first time cutting. Ive been working out real hard for almost a year, gained some good muscle mass, n dont wanna lose it while cutting 4 the summer!

Whats the best way to go about doing this? Maintain calorie diet, or lower it a bit, keep training heavy weights low reps, or lighter weights higher reps, etc? Id just hate to lose my hard earned muscle. Im at about 18%BF. 5'11 200lbs. 27 years old. Ill be happy if i can just lose a few pnds of fat by summer. Ill be stacking OEP, testbooster, and a cortisol blcker i think. Of course ill be taking lots of protein n bcaa's. 20 mins of cardio 2-3 times a week sound about right though?

P.S. Wanna do this the natural way as well, well non steroidal. Also is it possible to put on muscle while cutting without a steroidal agent? Heard it was imposssible. Thanks everyone!

There is NO reason why you should lose muscle mass whilst losing bodyfat. In fact, the PRIMARY goal when "cutting" should be to MAINTAIN THE MUSCLE MASS THAT YOU CURRENTLY HAVE, with fat loss the secondary target.

Your NUTRITION is going to be the primary deciding factor in whether or not you lose bodyfat, muscle mass, or a bit of both and how much of each. I personally recommend CYCLING your calories and carbohydrates (Google re research on this, if you don't know what it is) - this also gives a recomp effect if done right.

The supplements you're using sound fine, and should help a little - although remember that supplements are just to SUPPLEMENT your nutrition and training regimen.

Re training, I personally recommend staying with as heavy a weight as you can handle at 8-12 reps (depending on the bodypart). I see no need to change the style of training, as long as you follow a progression scheme.

I recommend reading Invalid Link Removed - this article gives more detail re nutrition and training for fat loss.

Generally, individuals do NOT gain muscle whilst cutting because they "diet" and cut calories, etc., and none of that is conducive to muscle gain. However, yes, it IS possible to recomp (i.e. gain muscle mass whilst losing bodyfat) using only natural products and without the use of hormonals. Recomping requires VERY careful manipulation of your diet, and it is NOT an easy thing to achieve.
