Its super ugly today man, i wonder how long it will go on for? Days? Weeks? I remember I think 2006 there was like 90 days straight rain..... remember that?

the reason being for the floods here in waimanalo,is that the river that comes down from the mountains gets too high and breaches its banks. then the water pours out into the surrounding communitys,but nowaddays the military comes in and when the river starts to get high,they send tractors and front loaders down to the beach,where the river meets the ocean and they dig trenches out of the sand towards the water,and this releases pressure and the river goes back down,we havnt' had a MAJOR flood since 1988!..i will see if youtube got a video of what it may look like when they dig out the beach to let the water flow,people even surf in it,NO KIDDING!:thumbsup:

I have been known to kayak in hurricanes. When everyone else is afraid to swim or go near the shore (including lifeguards) I would be out there. The called me 'Wiley Kiley'. HAHA!

for breakfeast im going to have 3-eggs,4-slices ham,2-scoops rice,3-pieces of w/w toast covered with p.b,18 oz.100% whey shake.

supps-1-dienedrone,2-milk thistles,2-multi,3-amino's,3-fish oils.

pre-w/o supps-1-dienedrone,3-fish oils,3-amino's.


lunch-18oz. steak,3-eggs,23oz.orangeade(soft drink)2-scoops rice.


workout!


chest-(d.b flys)-4 sets of 10 60lbs.
tri's-(behind the head raises)-4 sets of 10 85lbs.
neck-(flat-bar shrugs)-4 sets of 10 179lbs.
shoulders-(d.b uprights)-4 sets of 10 40lbs.

notes-theres a flash flood warning for the island of 'oahu today its storming like a mofo here!.just thought i give a weather update!..LOL..but will train nontheless!..will be back to my log to update later!..aggression is up,vascularity is making a stronger presence.did my w/o today while listening to 50-cent!..all in all it was a good workout but had to run to the shower to take a hot bath right after because of the cold weather.felt really good!:thumbsup:

thanks man,and also the power went off again,and it just got back on!..but the good news is!..that the rain has stopped,and theres some sunlight coming through the clouds and i wish i had my camera with me.i would take pictures of the pretty waterfalls in the mountains right in back of my house!
 
one of the crazy things I found about the island is that when it rains the ground acts like a huge sponge...just soaks up all the water!
 
sadly, its like a serious portion of california tax dollars (like 3-4% or so), so its a pretty big deal in a recession. also, when it rains it tends to warm up, which will keep the grapes from freezing.

sunny,you can have it all my man!..LOL..but in an emergency situation is there like some sort of sprinkler or irrigation system set up.because here in hawaii,dole, the pineapple company uses high pressure sprinklers to water there crops!

yeah, we have water sprinklers for the grapes. here's the problem. we're allotted say (and i really don't know the number) 100k gallons of water. if 90k gallons is used to feed the stupid grapes, then nobody is allowed to water their lawns. that's why its so important in wintertime for the ground to be super saturated with water.

last time this city did water rations (1986), the city measured water use, and said to comply with their new requirements, you could shower for no more than 5 minutes a day, flush your toilet twice per day, and couldn't water your lawn. meanwhile, there go the sprinklers at the vineyards.... frustrating....

dang!..i also remember about 12 yrs. or so ago.we had a major water shortage in oahu' and if you were caught watering your yard.you would be fined and poss. jail time.:think:..unbeleivable!

its kinda cold and windy the rain has seemed to stop. i watched the news last night and all i can say is DAMN! there was alot of damage caused by all that rain i think 13" of rain. THere was alot of flooding around the island.
