Starnes variation (standard bar)
95x10
95x10
95x10

No HIIT today. My workout was longer than usual and I was sweating up a storm. You can see that my shirt is drenched in the video.

I don't really understand the starnes variation, but I'm not knocking it until I try it.

I strained my transverse and rectus muscles on one side so I might wait..

i've tried really wide snatch grip rack pulls, and they hammer the upper back.
The Reeves look very similar but I bet that extra shrug is icing on the cake.

Will have to try both of these soon

The Starnes variation is actually my favorite (and completely different than the others). You pull entirely through your upper back/shoulder blades. You shouldn't really feel anything in your lower back or hamstrings at all. The stretch feels amazing.

I tried out the Reeve's Deads yesterday. They really had my back burning. I couldn't find the shorter bar so I used a standard bar but my arms are not long enough to grab the 45lb plate, so I went as wide as I could. I did these following regular Deads. Talk about a burning back haha.

Haha yeah, they get me pretty good as well. So you basically did snatch grip deads. The Starnes variation smokes my upper back like nothing else. You could use an EZ bar for the first variation that I did today. I did that a few weeks ago and it worked out fine.

Even better as i was going to use 2 packets!!! (I am very stim tolerant) ... so now I get 4 solid workouts.. I will post up a review once I finish them off.

Well I'm glad I mentioned it then...4 scoops wouldn't be recommended lol. I'll have to PM LTL in case he didn't see this. Look forward to your review.

Ya, snatch grip deads haha. I'm interested in trying those Starnes variations for my next back session. They look killer, literally haha.

That's what I figured haha. My back feels like it's going to split open from the stretch they provide lol. I'm not sure how much of a difference there would be using a short bar though. If you have plates with holes along the side, you could use straps to help hold on (if you can reach at all).

Ya the plates I have access to do have holes along the sides, so using straps would benefit me greatly.

Haha yes 4 scoops of Jack3d micro™ is NOT recommended. I always stress that there are 2 scoops/packet when giving out samples. 1-2 scoops serves me well. I'd never want to go over 2.
Yes you do. I remember a few very interesting dreams from your log :D
Hah, I'm glad you enjoyed them. I usually post about the good ones because I figure that people will get some entertainment from it.

Yeah, I've let everyone know as well. 2 scoops is my sweet spot.

Mission accomplished :D

Tragic as. Can never understand why people do these kinds of things.

I heard the same. I think if it's some kind of terrorist group responsible, they'll probably want credit for it.

As long as the border remains open to "bring in votes" this country will never be able to stop the people who mean us harm from crossing with them. Very sad day for alot of people and i hate to say that this will not be the last. All i am saying about that though.

sick lift brother!

Breezy is always slayin it!!!

Thanks guys!

My phone has gone crazy and is stuck rebooting itself, even after I remove the battery. This is a big problem because I need to be able to use it in the morning...hopefully I can figure this out.:frustrate

Did you try a manual reboot? I don't know what phone you have but sometimes if you hold in the power button along with some other button on the phone (for mine it is power and the sound button at the same time) the option to manual reboot will appear. Just make sure you don't do a factory reboot or it will delete all your information :yikes:

I read 4400 on the prop blend and realized it was 2 scoops. :)

Sipping it now before work. Tastes amazing. Thanks again.

Yeah, I had that screen come up and got scared that I was going to lose all my info lol. I'm going to try something else that I found online first.

I thought that I might've already told you about that, but tried to send you a PM anyways...Your box is full.

Nice, let me know how it goes.

I have had that happen too and always was nervous all my info would be deleted (actually happened once :aargh:).

Glad you fixed your phone, just saw this and was going to tell you the same thing happens to me at times with Iphone, and how I reset it without losing everything.

Saw the videos last night too (that I couldn't at work). Always informative.. and appreciate you taking the time to add them so often.

Me too. I was getting pretty pissed. I ended up taking out the SIM card and starting it, which prevented the automatic reboot. Then I changed some settings, put the card back in, fired it up, and was back in business.

No problem. I'm sure a good number of people aren't familiar with some of the exercises/variations, so I thought it would help those following.

I am going to be starting a new FST7 routine in the next week or two.. was thinking I would do my normal exercises but also throw in one MD style exercise each day... so keep doing them! lol

Very awesome. I have multiple work related calls today.

Crazy how dependent we are on our technology isn't it.

An extended loss of power as you felt not too long ago, is traumatic in itself.... but I'd feel lost without 'gadgets'..

Yeah, it's nuts.

I probably would've lost my mind without my phone lol. It wasn't that long ago when everyone did fine without them. It all started with my giant Nokia phone in high school lol.

I had one of those... looked like a cordless phone lol

That's exactly what I'm doing right now. It's a sweatshow. Have fun...

Did it for a while last year... was great and definitely progessed well on it. Thanks man.. I think I will log it.

Logging keeps me motorvated. I throw some of Breezy's stuff in with my workout and have found success. Variety is the spice of life, apparently.

I've never tried FST7. Maybe I'll give it a shot towards the end of the summer.

I've never used a whole program with fst7 but I've implemented a set or two of it into training and it's a nice finisher

Awesome number breezy, especially for keeping rest periods that short for Chest.

I want to see the video :)

Thanks man. It was tough.

The video is from a few months ago and I think was posted in my last log. It's not the best form (chest was hurting at that point), but should still give you a decent idea of how to do them. You lower your body (while keeping arms straight) and raise back up by flexing your chest.

Dang, should have tried those out today. Just did Chest. But the chest was absolutely hurting haha.

There's always next time. I like using them with stretch pushups as a finisher.

For sure. I was also going to throw in those stretch pushups following machine flyes, but forgot to :(. Next time though :)

Nice workout as per norm Breezy... Fat grip Bench is a struggle..

Thank you sir.

My phone is officially dead and I won't have a new one until Friday.
