Oh certainly you could. I bet you eat pancakes at night sometimes don't you? Plus, AIN'T YOU EVER HEARD OF A BREAKFAST TACO!!!! ;)

I never pigeon hole a food into one time of day anymore. If it tastes good and meets my needs then it is an appropriate time to eat it.

I probably would have tossed the chicken in the skillet with a few eggs for a quick scramble then put that in those yummy shells!!!

AM Taco's No Problem - 22 degree gym Problem !!
AMEN to that! I can't even imagine then again, if I lived where you do I would be more cold resilient. Up further north they got that there brown fat to help keep your warm, and mine is pretty much gone after almost 30 years in Texas. When I first got here I did the shorts and tank top in winter thing all the time. Now 40 degrees is chilling my bones...

I like breakfast foods at all times of day but dinner items I couldn’t wake up and eat. Just a preference no pigeon holing here lol

I’ve never come across and hour or minute of the day where I wouldn’t be able to max out on biscuits and gravy or donuts

I almost never eat breakfast during breakfast time, mostly because i tend not to eat a traditional breakfast. I tend to fast, but I will eat pretty much any food any time of the day if it meets my needs and especially if it tastes good. I think this practice started with waking up and finishing off the pizza still in the box from the night before when I was a young and wild one.

MMMMMMM Biscuits and Gravy OH MY!!!!! My Mom used to make that with ground up sausage in the white gravy! OH MY GOD!!!!!! YUM!!!!

I haven't had it with the sausage in it since I was probably 14. So good!!!!!

SOS can't beat it !!!!!

Woke up late this morning, while stretching one of my dogs left me a grand suprise in their kennel. Really screwed up my routine, but I got in a lil sumn.

I do not like your food choices....honestly.
But I like your determination when it comes to workouts!

Food choices are interesting haha but it seems to be working for him!

What do you believe are the problems with the food choices ??

Food choices are interesting haha but it seems to be working for him!

Explain what is so interesting?
Considering 90% of his diet is whole foods (beef, chicken, steak, rice, veggies, bagels, muffins)
He uses maybe 1 scoop of whey a day as the basis is off micronutrient-rich foods

There is a law of diminishing returns on sources when calories continue to rise or else you will slave yourself to GI Issues and bloating from heavy satiety foods (higher in fiber). Hence why we throw in cereal's and extra HBCD/Karbolyn intra-workout to help reach his intake and keep his bloating down. As the calories continue to rise you have to focus on caloric density or else you will eat too much volume and it will go against you with digestion issues.

Given Kevin's work schedule a lot of his meals have to be portable or package. He is adapting what he needs to do to fit his "lifestyle" just like all of us do

I eat venison, fish, turkey burger, chicken legs, and occasionally a steak.
Rice/bagels/cereals
Brussel sprouts / french green beans / broccoli /asparagus / cabbage /carrots
Apples /Banana
Greek yogurt/almond milk
Beef jerkey
1 scoop of whey a day
1 1/2 gallon h20
Looks pretty clean and solid if you ask me

What do you believe are the problems with the food choices ??

Not a "problem", just not what I personally would chose.
I saw a lot of "good" meals too -but I would skip the bun, processed burgers and cheese (most commercial cheese isn't even cheese at all).
Those turkey-ham-slices could be full of sodium and chemicals to enhance shelf life.

No idea if BOSSMAN selects quality cheese and if the turkey slices are the cheap "wrapped stuff" -or not. Was guessing by what I normally see in supermarkets.

Hey, just an old man doing his remarks... no actual attack on anyone, especially BOSSMAN who did a hell of a job leaning out so far!

You consume all your food in a 3 hour window?

Yep, trying to lose some fat. Not ideal for muscle building -but the only diet I'm disciplined enough to follow, not a recommendation for anyone.

So his fresh venison is now processed?
Interesting
What’s wrong with fresh turkey or beef?
I guess everyone on AM who buys these from grocery stores or burger shops are now doing it wrong according to you.

What’s wrong with bread or even cereal? It contains more nutrients , vitamins and minerals then say rice ever will and that is deemed a clean food. Absolutely nothing wrong with a bun when he’s eating nearly 3000+ calories a day that’s making up 1/30th of his intake. I hardly think that’s making him lose sleep at night or truly hurting his health. Especially when he’s eating the majority of veggies, healthy fats, and nutrient dense fruits daily

His blood glucose levels have dropped over 20-30 which shows his insulin sensitivity continues to get better even eating this many carbs per day . I fail to see how this is a “bad” Practice or how’s its really hurting his health.

You are clearly entitled to your own opinion but I have yet to see someone get diabetes from eating 90% of their diet from Whole Foods that are micronutrient rich while in a surplus. If calories were restricted kevin would not eat as much “processed” foods due to satiety and caloric allotment. When he has more leeway I don’t want him eating pounds of potatoes or oatmeal or else his inside would rip apart . It doesn’t make much logical
Sense from a digestion standpoint

It wasn't about venison -but burgers.

I regret to have attacked the infamous US "burger-culture" with bread that never gets old, even after days laying around.

I'm sorry for having an opinion and from now on will state the opposite!

Hey, did I said beef/meat is bad?
You are attacking a strawman.

IMHO burgers are not a good choice, as the supposed "meat" is processed and contains a variety of stuff that isn't even meat at all.

You are the one claiming burgers are bad which kevin gets from fresh venison , beef and turkey

So yes that is what you are claiming
Not being a straw man I fail so see how this is bad

I guess all those vitamins and minerals continues to improve his health, his bloodwork and improved insulin sensitivity while his blood glucose continues to drop

Clearly it’s really causing a big issue here

You follow a diet which you state is not ideal , but yet do it anyways because you can’t eat more then multiple meals due to
Your discipline... let’s look at the red flags here

Here what the pic said:
turkey burger/sliced turkey / relish/mustard/hot sauce / ultra thin provolone cheese / bagel

I assumed the burger was "bought". My objection is void if BOSSMAN ground the turkey himself.

Sorry for being sincere, will change that, because its seen as a flaw.

Everyone need to plan a diet and training regimen at their body type. What work for me might not work for you.

Yes -and its a personal choice too.

As I said:

No idea why I get bashed into the ground -but I assume, keeping quiet is best, especially when its about "holy burgers and bread".

You don’t have to keep quiet, because I understand your comments. I love Bossman choices of foods, but he and I have different body types. If I did his eating and workout regimen, my fat percentage would increase. Bossman is doing a great job at maintaining.

I buy all my meat fresh and from a local butch shop, I do not buy prepackaged stuff from the store. I also use fresh vension I get to make jerkey, burgers, and stew. Nothing is going to be frozen or pre-packaged for my meat.

Well. In that case I'll shut up. :) Now I can sleep again, knowing that you too avoid processed food.

I'm very fortunate, I have 3 local butcher shops all within 10 miles. 2 of them are your normal chicken , pork, beef, turkey. Also, 2 of them process the deer we kill. One of them caries a different variety...elk, bison etc etc. Also fortunate to be surrounded by Amish also. That is were the cheese comes from fresh cut to my liking.
Very minimal to zero processed foods since I started this new regimen back in late Oct early November.
I live in the farmland so there are produce stands all up and down the highway along with 2 huge farmers markets for any fresh produce you can imagine. Seasonal obviously, but super market during the fall and winter for produce.

If I'm out at a restaurant, I get a lean cut of steak with some type of greens and a baked potato, sweet potato, or potato soup.

We both know that your food choices are not the regular norm for most US citizens. Hence I assumed "bad burgers", sorry for that. The Amish make awesome food. Here where I live, the Mennonites (closely related to Amish) produce most of the local meat and milk products.

Never took anything as an attack or insult. This is all new to me. I just started all this eating about 4 months ago. It was a big change for me to start a new relationship with food. I love to cook, so buying fresh is a bonus. My wife eats healthy also so that helps a ton. Kids, not so much. I do make sure they get their healthy meats and veggies everday .

I was the same way HGP, I was always looking around on the site and saying to myself "how and the hell are these guys eating some of the things I am seeing but they are still jacked and looking good"?

After adjusting into this I have found the foods and get creative to he able to meet my daily macros while enjoying what I'm eating also.

I get a lot of food from my own farm. Turkey (once every few month, don't have a lot of them), chicken, eggs, fruits and fish.
Like you, I made tremendous changes to my diet over time, now being the watchdog for others, LOL. I may have the "Vegan-Syndrome" trying to convert people to eat my way...

I see that now, not a good way in communicating healthy food choices.

Define processed ? Most things you buy are processed- white and brown rice, eggs, all meat is processed to a point and some injected with flavors.
And what’s wrong with burgers - if I said I had 6oz of beef, a salad, a slice of cheese and 2 slices of bread for dinner it would be called “clean”

I agree 100% with you on the Processed Meats !!

I am fortunate to have a daughter that is a farmer and A Son-In-Law that keeps me in Venison, I just put 36lbs of fresh ground venison in the freezer !!

But I agree I deal with the local farm stand, butchers, cheese mongers plus Trader Joe’s just because :) they have tons of good stuff.

When I talk processed I mean: colored cereals, any ham, sausages, canned food, commercial burgers (look up whats in them), bread (exception : true whole grain, not available in US supermarkets.) dried mashed potatoes, anything that's full of chemicals to make it last longer and with colorants to make it more appealing.

Edit:

Take a look, that summarizes what I mean without much detail:

Funny fact:

US supermarket bread stays fresh for days, sometimes even weeks! Try this with any European bread (best German). By the next day, its hard as a cracker. If you wait 2-3 days longer, it has its own ecosystem growing.
Same for processed cereals. No insect will eat it (if not sugar coated). Use some Kellogs and throw it on an ant hill. It will stay there untouched.

I could post relevant studies to most of the processed food consumed, that will make anyone question themselves if its even food at all.

Want to talk "Lunch Meat" or Hot Dogs ???????

I have some 100% Venison Hot Dogs Also !!

Let’s break this down for a second
Colored cereals - things like fruity pebbles and stuff are way different that other cereals like corn flakes. But even having colored cereals once and a while will not effect your body
Any ham - let’s choose boars head since it’s America’s #1 brand - All of these offerings are surprisingly lean: their Virginia ham contains only 1 gram of fat and 60 calories in a 2-ounce serving; Ovengold turkey has the same amount; and their London broil top round roast beef contains only 3 grams of fat and 70 calories in a 2-ounce serving. Plus the ingredients are salt (they have low sodium options) , smoke and the meat.
Sausages - what’s wrong with meat put into a grinder with seasonings - that’s all hot dogs and sausages are - inb4 cuts of meat lol just lol like any cut is better than other, I eat every part of the animal
Canned food - beans, vegetables are all canned food and ingredients are the item, salt and water
Commercial burgers - bubba burgers are the most known in America - ingredients - 100% USDA choice chuck beef with no added sodium
Never made with MSG, soy, nitrates or nitrites
Bread - I understand people hate white bread but most whole grain breads like Dave’s killer bread sold everywhere is made with whole wheat and nuts
Dried potatoes - I don’t know anyone who eats those lol
