Yea! They were discussing the workout regimen with me and they use the old nautilus machines. I said I like to do squats. Can I squat instead of doing these leg exercises. She looked at me like why would you do that. Then I said my squat is 410 pounds. She went. Oh. Let me go get a hiit trainer. After talking to him for a bit he took me into their gym and said you can do whatever you want in here. Just follow your own routine you seem to know what you're doing. Lol.

I'm sure the guys would but the person in charge is an older lady and my case manager is an older lady. I don't they'd care for that. lol. Be pretty funny though. But I'd be lying if I said thirty minutes. It only takes me about 3. 5 if I go left handed.

That is exactly what I'm doing now. I just call it a A/B split 4 day a week. With 4 sets each. Only HST principle I'm using is a weight or rep increase per lift, Tiered by Reps per exercise every 2 weeks, Then Negatives in week 7 and drop sets in week 8.

4 Day Split
8 weeks: Week 1-2, 15 rep range, Week 3-4, 12 rep range, Week 5-6, 10 Rep range, Week 7 Negatives, Week 8 drops sets. I will always up the weight or reps every workout. Little Taste of HST

I always stretch the muscle I work after that body part is complete.

A: Mon. & Thur.
Hack Squat 4X regular 140#
Hack Squat 4X Platz Style Super slow on the down. No Weight

Seated Leg Curl Cybex Hams 4X 110#

So this morning I had a moderately supervised training day. I did upper body. I tried to follow plan but I ended up doing extra sets and changing a few things. I didn't want to go to heavy on my sets because of a few things. I'm also trying to figure out how this gym is laid out and where everything is. Couldn't do some normal stuff because they didn't have some things. But it's not a bad gym. Here's today's numbers.

So I guess we'll see how that really goes. They said they like my training intensity and they can tell I'm serious about lifting. So that's fun.

I dunno man. From what I'm interpreting is that this trainer is not like the ones at the y. The ones that "train" old people or help big girls lose weight but never get smaller. The facility im at has trained a few professional athletes and the strength coach there looks like Brian shaw. He was man handling the 120dbs like I handle the 15s. Lol.
 
Crappy workout today. You guys are gonna kill me. But.... I'm going to do the whole body routine while I'm at this new facility. They don't have everything that I need for my lower day. Getting the leg curls and extensions won't work. I can do squat variations and that's about it. Sorry. This is just me whining.

Had a great workout today. Added a few extra sets to my routines to really get a huge pump. Starting to adjust the weight to get to my percentages. Still getting used to everything. I couldn't get 15 on my first set of squats but I got close. Had to take a little breather to get the last two.

Thanks guys. I really want to hit my traps hard. I realized at the end of my lifts I hadn't hit them yet so threw in a couple sets. You could put a marble at the base of my neck and it wouldn't go anywhere.

I won the other bottle. Are you really expecting much with the low dose of epi? I don't know what to think with a bottle being 2 caps a day and they recommend up to 4

My knee is really acting up today from yesterday's squats. Need to get some fluid to it. It's killing me.

Went to heavy on the deads. Oh well. I needed some heavy weight. Also I'm not sure how much the leg press actually was. It just said 10. It felt like way more than 100 so I dunno. It was a really old machine.

Really hit my tris hard. I did lots of other stuff after my therapy sesh. Did some sled pulls again. I really like those for grip strength and it works the tar out of my lats. Then hit some high rep bis and tris. My tris are sore. Overall a good day today.
 
We just got sleds at my gym. What would u replace if u wanted to add them in on leg day.

Maybe leg press or lunges. It is a very dynamic exercise and a lot can be done with sleds. Whether you're pushing them or pulling with ropes. Depending on your angle it works different groups. I wouldn't in my opinion replace an exercise with them. I would just add them at the end of your day. You can do this a few times a week since it will work your whole body.

So today was a good gym day. I know the therapy I'm doing for my hand is good but my wrist has been killing me for days now. It is also fatiguing really quickly. I have to adjust my grip or stop sometimes in midset because of the pain. But I'm pushing through. The doctor said I'm not pushing myself hard enough so I gotta suck it up.

I spoke with the "trainer" today and she's legit. She knew what i was talking when we talked gym and it was awesome. She gave me a few tips and she seems pretty knowledgable. When I told her my new approach to training she laughed and said that's an awesome analogy. We talked about my aspirations to compete this coming year and you know what she said? She said that's a great goal we can make it happen. We have a new trainer who competes and coaches. I'll introduce you to him and I bet he can help you get on stage!!

I'm freaking pumped. As much as I hate what I have to do if I can get a coach out of it that'll be awesome. She said she's watched me workout a few times and she likes my intensity and focus. So ???

Anyways. I'm gaining weight. Not a lot but I'm gaining weight. It's muscle too. Each scale is different but I'm up about 4 lbs on every scale. I'm bouncing around between 4 scales and my weight is around 188. Last week I was around 184ish. Here's my volume from today. I did a chest and arms hyper trophy routine.

I know it seems far away but it's a short amount of time to really change my body. I really hope this comes to fruition. I've been talking to my wife a lot about it and she's not completely on board yet but it'll come.

My wife is cool with it. I am looking at mid-summer. There are like 3 or 4 shows during the summer. I want to compete at least twice this year. Get that first show in and hopefully qualify for nationals at the next one.
