Best Ways To Prevent/Cure a Hangover?!!?!?

drink alot of water while your drinking..you get hungover because your body cannot break it down fast enough..water helps this ive found that if i drink enough water i can drink all that i want and not get hungover at all

For me popping a couple of caffeine pills and chugging down 1-2l of water.
Efedrine works wonders aswell.
Not saying this is the best alternative but cures my hangover :)

strong coffee+b vitamins and make sure u drink alot of water...the other thing that always works for me its a cold beer nice an early the next morning...

Watery fruit before you go to sleep. Oranges, strawberries, etc. All the urination whacks your electrolytes so the fruit is way better than water.

But knowing the crowd here nobody would dare touch some fruit.

Mmmmm starbursts.

You know, I always hear the "drink a beer the next day" thing but I've never done it. Usually the thought of putting more alcohol up to my lips is too much for me, but I'll try it next time and see what happens.

But hopefully that "next time" is far in future. Hangovers suck.

That is what they make Bloody Mary's for. Vitamins and booze... fixes all hangovers.

I drink mixed drinks with lots of ice. The ice naturally keeps you hydrated as it melts and mixes into your drink. That and water later before bed. Staying hydrated is key for me to stay hangover free.

so if your body's struggle to maintain glutamine levels is a partial contributor to hangover, wouldn't supplementation of glutamine during or after drinking be benefiicial to an extent?

Not exactly... suppressing the natural output induces a strong burst of rebound after the drinking ends.. this is main cause.

Was gonna say this, but you got it on post 2 :bigok:

I've had to do a lot of alcohol training because I work security at a casino. There is nothing you can do to sober up except wait it out.

not the answer I was hoping for but direct and honest. Thank You:veryhappy:

Tried the Rehab P3 on a week long bender last week. It worked really well. Nights that I would have woken up hating life I instead was just a bit groggy with a faint reminder of a headache. Good stuff.

I went to Laughlin this weekend and while picking up supplies I saw a supplement at CVS called chaser. I bought it on a whim not expecting much but it seriously worked awesome. I felt good, tired because of ****ty sleep, but no headache, no nausea, no loss of equilibrium. And this is despite getting more wasted than I have in years.

The full product name is Chaser Plus Freedom From Hangovers. Seriously works.

don't you have to take like 2-3 pills every couple of drinks

2 pills before your first drink, 2 pills three to four hours later. It says to do it 3 hours even after that but I didn't do it and it still worked. So for a whole night of super heavy drinking it was only four pills.

Keep in mind this was even without my traditional guzzling of water before going to sleep.

I just drink water when I get home...a couple cups helps out tremendously...if I wake up in the middle of the night I drink some more out of the sink. I use to drink a ridiculous amount and have never had a hangover where I had to lay around.

This is what I do^^^but have to get at least 6-7 hrs of sleep as well.

1g NAC +1g Vitamin C + B complex immediately before and after drinking works quite well at diminishing the Acetaldehyde related symptoms (although I more often just take an entire B-Complex rather than just B6). Combine with plenty of water, as everyone else has pointed out, and hangovers should be a lot less intense.

Also, carbs right away in the morning are a good thing to get blood glucose levels back up to normal. Anecdotally, I also like to eat something salty while I'm drinking if I can... it seems to help.

coconut milk - 15x the electrolytes of Gatorade
50g protein shot split 2 times roughly every2 hours take 25g
good protein bar with a lot of healthy fats right before drinking.
WATER
when u get home have another big shake with casein.
little bit of Creatine - helps hold water (optional)

thats about as anabolic u can stay on drinkin

gonna try this

drink lots of water all day before drinkinggggggggggg

I enetered to win a free sample a while back and never heard from them...lol

Eat something before you go to sleep like a granola bar or piece of bread, and drink at least a cup of water. Also, get some Pedialyte for the morning after because it replaces electrolytes and fluids quickly.

It's been a while since I needed this (Air Force days) wake up at 5am slam 2 beers and a dr.pepper, and go back to sleep.

I usually eat a lot before I drink. That way the alcohol can be digested with the food and won't hit as hard. Also, I typically drink hella water or gatorade. But I've never tried the coconut milk thing. Sounds like a good idea.

Best way but its disgusting is eat a whole stick of butter, works but its awful for you and hard to get down. If not alot of water, some food before bed and some antacids
