best way to cook eggs?!

We all know that eggs are excellent for building muscle but does it matter how you cook them? I've been hard-boiling them but im wondering if boiling them kills off some of the nutrients inside. If I fry them does that make them less healthy because of the added greasy fat?

thoughts??

best all around is to get eggs that are pasteurized in the shell, and eat em raw. Next is hard boiled because although you are subjecting to high temperatures, its still lower than frying and there is no oxygen involved so nothing oxidizes

Will it say on the carton whether or not the eggs are pasteurized?

yeah, there are only a handful of companies that do them in the shell that way. The eggbeaters and whites only are also pasteurized, but you then get into oxidation issues with some of the nutrients + fatty acids. This company even has a store locator :)

I scramble mine and cook them in some coconut oil on low-med heat.

Easy: I thought cooking the eggs was better than eating them raw?

that is still sort of a tossup. you do wreck certain nutrients if you cook them, but with salmonella risk (and to some extent ability to absorb the proten) its better to cook them

a dozen eggs has more arachidonic acid than a days worth of x-factor if they are uncooked...

Nice. I eat 8 egg whites and 3 yolks just about every day.
