Hi I'm 53 and I know this may sound boring but making sure your liver is in tip-top condition is my anti-aging tip. When my liver is working well everything else just seems to fall into place.
Any food or supp isn't going to work like it should if your liver isn't up to scratch. It's the first port-of-call for everything.
Also forget everything you've heard or been told about fat. I won't get scientific but it's really, REALLY good...........sorry, I lied, that was pretty scientific. That's the egg-head in me!!! Of course I must mention there is moderation.........but I don't apply that to MY fat intake.
I have blood test twice a year now and all have been excellent. My doctor doesn't believe me when I tell her how much butter I have. I put Olive Oil on everything.
Nutrition variety is important to. Don't eat the same thing every day. Intermittent fasting has proven to be very beneficial for me.
Do some strength training that you enjoy and can't wait to do.
Stretch often, especially if you are tight, and make sure you have the same Range Of Motion on both sides.
Cardio, for me anyway, is optional but has to be enjoyable. I love getting stuck into the heavy bag or cycling as fast as I can for a few minutes if I have too much energy, but that's not often these days and definitely NOT a priority. I just do weights with less rest or higher reps as cardio. Do 3-5 sets of heavy dumbbell rows, for example, with little rest between sets and try and have a conversation.
An Activated Vitamin B-Complex, especially in stressful times, helps...but also optional.
So does regular massage.
I've yet to find a supp that has had so much of an impact that I would include it as an "anti-aging must have" and I used to love "experimenting".
Socialise and enjoy life for what it is. Revel in your good health.
Don't focus on negative crap if it doesn't directly concern you or you have any control over. You should be focusing on what is going on in your life and improving that.....if it needs improving. You should know by now that life is short.
And when life is good I love helping people in some way. It's very satisfying.
