Best protein before bed

Why would you want a casein before bed? XF UP 2.0 is an optimal choice not because of the casein, but because of the casein + isolate.

Blends, in nearly all situations applicable to individuals who "bodybuild", will be the superior choice.
 
Dymatize Elite XT is a pretty good choice IMO. It's profile includes casein, as well as egg albumen, but the "coated" protein digests even slower. And now with the improved taste it's almost like having dessert before bed.

Agree. Other 2 good options would be USP oxyelite protein and PES Select: both have casein plus whey and are very well flavoured it appears

Didin't know they have improved flavours. Used it a year ago and was disappointed by all 3 flavours that I've tried
 
Why do you want protein specifically before bed?

I workout in the evening after work and then eat my dinner and I want a protein that will take the place of an unhealthy dessert.

I liked PES Select Chocolate so I might just stick to that.

Like you said, PES is touted as being pretty well flavored (haven't personally tried it) - but also XF UP 2.0 is probably more "dessert" like given its thickness and some of the flavoring options. It is a little less in protein, but also comes with the EFA's.
 
I havent tried PES Select but i did like XF UP 2.0. Definitely a good choice.
 
I will look into this because I work nights I get out at 4am and sometimes make the worst food choices which then throws off eating clean.

These with his quoted UP2.0 are the 3 best proteins IMO, profile-wise. A blend is superior in any setting besides intraworkout
 
UP2.0 is without a doubt my personal favorite protein.

The new ON platinum casein in strawverry is really good as well and I usually dont care much for their proteins.
