best fitting/quality t-shirt

I am looking for a good quality T-shirt. Not a brand like affliction or anything like that. I mean a basic T or pocket T like hanes or fruit of the loom. Obviously those suck but you get the idea. I have heard good things about American Apparel shirts. I also remember Soffee being a good brand back when I was in the military. The fit is slimmer and the arms and shoulders fit someone that is in shape and wants to show off a little bit. i suppose this is called athletic fit.


Does anyone have any suggestions?
 
They're usually at target, 'jerzees' t-shirts. They're suprisingly well made and a real form fitting, without being tight, if that makes sense. My GF loves the 'heather grey' color I think she calls it.
 
Times when Old Navy has sales my wife will pick me t-shirts, reg plain, some colors at times, and I like them, fit nice, never shrink and when the sales go on there cheap
 
I can't remember which store exactly, I think Nordstroms, it was one of those nicer stores had a shirt that fit me perfectly. It was more tapered than the normal T's so it isn't like a tent around the waist but it is definitely not anything close to tight either. The brand was John Ashford or something like that. I really need to get more. As far as undershirts, BVD 100% cotton are good, but I can't seem to find the right ones anymore.
 
I'm seconding American Apparel. Their shirts fit terrifically. Really good. Even when they are one size too large, the chest and arms still fit fitted and flatteringly.
 
Hans Perfect T's are plain tee's in white or black, but apparently Han's Perfect T's are what Affliction T's are printed on.
 
Ralph Lauren T shirts are perfect. Just regular T's with the tiny Polo symbol on it. Comes in a plethora of colors and works as a regular shirt or an undershirt. I'm wearing one right now!

Hanes tagless comfort fit XL. My favorite to wear at the gym or during the summer. I myself dont like the RL, dont like the way they are cut but it all depends on what you're body type is.

Gotta agree with this got some old navy shirts too bought them for like 4 bucks kinda my favorite shirts an yes they allow me to show off my bicep pumps and chest alittle. :biglaugh:
 
i know you just want plain shirts but i have to say abercrombie muscle fit shirts are by far my favorite fit, the button ups are perfect
 
gentleman. i just recently got my american apparel t shirts in the mail. these shirts are no **** the best damn shirts ever. the baby rib ones are the bomb. I hate the term baby rib and i dont know why it is called that, but they are comfortable as a mother ****er.
 
I find that my old work t-shirts fit perfect! Great size for the shoulders and arms, not too long/short at the waist. Any tshirts i buy out of the shops just don't seem to fit me right! So i'm a walking advertisment for the crappy pub chain i work for when i'm in the gym. The Ale ones arn't that bad looking though, i'm not much for designer clothes though.
