Have you used both LX and Reduce XT which seem to be the same thing, or just LX?

Do you cycle it or how long do you normally take it for?

Curious as to your dosages as to why you take 2 in the morning and 2 before bed instead of something like 1 when you wake up and 1 four hours later and then 2 before bed or something?

2 right when i woke up and 2 right before bed

my obliques were so sick at the time god I wish I had spent the 20 extra bucks instead of this relacore BS

I've tried large doses of Phosphatidyl in conjunction with my work and class schedule. I had a noticable increase in concentration, around 600 mg before a study session was nice, sometimes more or less. At around 1.2 grams a day I had a noticable boost in mood and motivation to simply get things done. Daily tasks didn't seem so bad. I played around with the dose quite a bit, it's definitely effective in the right quantity.

Im pretty sure that is the suggested use on the bottle. I didnt use LX with reduce but I did use it with other post cycle supplements. I do not attribute my belly fat loss to anything else I used except the LX at the time. Im not sure but I think the 2 recommended times to take LX are times when cortisol is the most abundant in your system.

The label for LX indicates "As a dietary supplement, take 1-2 capsules 2-3 times per day. Take one serving upon waking and the last right before bed."

Think I emailed DS about recommended dosages and it seems there are a number of ways to do it. Your dosage seems to make better sense than 1 cap at wake up, 1 cap 4 hours later and 1 cap at bedtime.

yeah man I guess when it said that on the label I took it as to take 2 when I woke up and 2 before bed. If you have some extra cash buy some and mess with dosage times and see what gives you the best results and then let us know.

I never thought any anti-cortisol supplement could actually help you lose fat on your belly. Too much cortisol adds fat to your belly, so if you take an anti-cortisol supplement it won't help you lose fat on your belly, you just won't gain any in that area. An anti-cortisol supplement will help you keep muscle on a low-calorie diet, prevent excess cortisol after exercise....but its not going to help you lose fat from your midsection. If you keep cortisol down you will likely gain less fat in that area, but its not going to help you spot reduce.

Exactly, spot reduction has and will never work, but if someone has high cortisol levels and by taking something such as Reduce XT to lower them, plus having an appropriate weight/cardio routine, it sure helps to trim that belly down.

What is the main purpose you all use cortisol blockers for?

I ask because about 2 years a go the cortisol blocking idea came up from a training partner of mine and he recommended taking "Cort-Block" from Muscle Link but I never thought bocking cortisol is a good idea seeing how you need natural cortisol levels, true?

Cortisol regulates many functions of the body we dont want to supress it. It's there for a reason isn't it?

Furthermore, how much cortisol should be blocked? Who should know how high your levels are? Isn't it possible you might block more then whats elevated?

You bring up good points...I think the idea behind these cort blocking supps is to find the amount that works for you at a given period of your life, without blocking to much cortisol . For me, when I diet hard and up my cardio, I know my cort levels are raised through the roof...I can feel my body under stress and I even start to build a little bit of fat around my abdomen. Supplementing with 3-4 Lean XT per day seem to do the trick...if I take more than that, I start seeing symptoms of my cort levels getting too low...i.e, sore joints, etc...

Everyone is a bit different and should do some research before taking a cort reducing supplement. As I said you make very good points.

Yeah well as great as my points might have been, I still had to edit my post because I just proofread it for the 3rd time and it still had huge errors in it. It might make a lo t more sense now:icon_lol:

On another note, thank you for your reply and judging by your post, I think it's safe to infer that there are ways to gauge whether your cortisol levels are too high or too low then right? How do you know how much cortisol you supress when you supplement these cortisol blockers?

I don't know exactly how much I suppress...only that if it gets to low or to high, I see and feel the sides of that (as I mentioned in my earlier post) and can adjust my dose accordingly...hardly scientific but it seems to work well for me...lol ;-)

I don't know exactly how much I suppress...
That's why I say "Nay" to myself when contemplating supplementing cortisol blockers for whatever reason and I don't buy into the concept much either. Your body needs a certain amount of cortisol to go about doing it's natural processes or whatnot. Until we can gauge how much is being supressed and how much is necessary to BE suppressed in order to reach whatever our goals we have set ahead for ourselves, I will consider other less "unresearched" or "questionable" methods to enhance my results. Cheers to you all though and I hope you continue getting the results you desire.:head:

Well said ;-) Each to his/her own...I would just say be sure your fairly "in tune" with your body if you do decide to try a cort suppressing supplement.

Very good point!

Ive used LX and enjoyed it.The best however I noticed was high dose phosphatidylserine with Cissus. The combo was amazing.Workouts were so enjoyable it convinced me not to use any real anabolics anymore.Of course its not explosive like that but you feel great and workouts are very productive.Usually with anabolics you are very strong but you just know somthing is not right in your body. With orals anyway.

I've used phosphatidylserine with Cissus as well I've also stacked it with Ginko and L-Tyrosine. Good stacks. I must say however, very humbly, they all pale in comparision to the energy, focuse and vitallity given by Poseidon.

Ok man, you've convinced me. Go ahead and send me some poseidon and Ill try it out. Seriously though, I cant wait to try it. It looks awesome and the reviews seem to be going very good as well. I may switch the poseidon out with my xcell as a staple supplement. I have so many 'staples' right now that I cant just keep adding to them or Ill be broke forever, so Ill post some feedback when I get a chance to buy some.

I'm looking forward to your feedback... Your going to be impressed ;-)

I'm a big fan of Retain, so I'll have to chime in with all the others who voted for it. Has anyone tried the retain2 to see how it compares?

I think LeanXtreme and 7keto/7oxo are really cort blockers and the Relora(magnolia extract and PS work differently more by ways that benzos work in that they don't "block" but rather inhibit release of cortisol thus lowering overall levels.Using preworkout stims causes increased cort levels thus I like to use cort "blockers" rather than cort release inhibitors.(who needes a sedative effect before wo's?)

Not sure where cissus fits in here tho.

I'm pretty sure some of the sterols in cissus compete with cortisol in binding to cort receptors.

Correct and proven more effective than d-bol and deca in dog models.

Sorry, but you said Dog models. And that put a really funny mental image in my head.

Have you guys been able to identify any of these sterols and come up with a possible extract for them? (or is that what symmetry is?)

I am currently taking Retain 3 times per day and I absolutely love the stuff!!! I have definately noticed myself getting leaner, I can't wait to try Retain 2!! Right now I am taking 1 with breakfast, lunch, and dinner. I'm not feeling any sides whatsoever, could I bump it up to 4 per day??? Pushin that envelope.haha

Anyone here have any input on 11OXO?

It's so new, so I haven't heard much about it online...if anyone's had samples and done a log, I'd love to see what the results were on how well this works as opposed to Retain etc. It looks/sounds good and I think I'm going to give it a shot in my post cycle therapy instead of Retain or LX....but it's so new so I'm a lil hesitant to judge it just yet, especially when I'd be using it for PCT.

I just got some Super Cissus and I am taking reduce xt. is that too much cortisol suppression? is it okay to take both?

ketosterols and 7-OH-DHEA react to form sulfuric acid. You are gonna die within minutes..............just joshin' ya.

Cissus and Reduce XT block cortisol through different pathways, so it's kinda good in that regard. My only concern is that cissus blocks cortisol receptors (blocking the negative effects of cortisol without actually removing it), and 7-OH lowers your levels of cortisol.

Though it would depend on a few more variables that I do not have enough data to comment on (such as dosages), this is a hit or miss stack, meaning that they could be synergistic or they could just negate eachother depending on how much of each you are taking.

Ok, my brain hurts, I'm done.

the original retain is what is in the poll right, not retain2?

Cissus focuses more on glucocorticoids from what I have read.

cortisol is a glucocorticoid

phenibut lowers cortisol

but you don't wanna lower it in the blood necessarily

you wanna block the enzyme that activates and nothing does it more selectively than 11-oxo

I think these are the references he posted about this last time this came up:
