Beast's Contest Prep Thread

Keep up the good work D. I am noticing a lot more definition and vascularity, particularly in the chest and shoulder region. :clap2:

Hey D, since you lowered your calories, is your refeed meal still the same or did you lower the kcals of that also?

Refeed cals are a little higher, added 0.5 cup oatmeal.
 
Thanks D. Also I was checking on fresh cut green beans in water.....a normal size can only looks to have 14 grams of carbs. Are you eating a monster sized can on your refeeds?

I'm actually using spinach for mine right now. I just have a cut of spinach. Most of the carbs in green beans is fiber anyways, so it is cool.

I remembering reading awhile back that you were from michigan and I see your past shows have been in michigan. Where are you from and what university do you attend. Im from cadillac and attend Saginaw Valley. Just curious....... as I know SVSU is hosting a natural bodybuilding show October 06.

Hmm. Those two places are not far from me. I go to good old central michigan. I have only been to Ann Arbor once though and it is huge. Never been to Saginaw Valley but i always pass the exit on the way back to school.

I look flat in these pics cause I am depleted right now. After my carb up I look way different (less water retention, more vascular, fuller muscles).

Yeah, what sucks about dieting is some days you'll be ripped and other days you'll be holding water. Come contest day though, I won't be holding water :twisted:
 
I know what ya mean. The carb cycling messes with your head when your abs go on vacation for a day...but then the next day its like BAMMM!! and they are more ripped than ever.

All this contest prep make me itch to give it a shot agin. Got a third and second place in Lightheavy and middle weight, respectively. My son wants me to go for it. My wife says I was one ill ***** and threatens to move out, just kidding, I hope.

bIGDAGO, you ned support from your wife, I am 8 days out and all I get is support it ias great. I say go for it
 
She was great during my my competition, seriously. Everything from the diet to applying my competion color. She brags to her friends about it and everything, really. She just keeps reminding me about the dieting and *****ing, and cramping. Says she is not sure if she could put up with me again. I believe she would though.
 
I hear ya on thediet part. My old lady is totally supportive and actually hasn't drank or eaten much crap food since I started. She does however want the sex life back. She know it will be back in a couplle of weeks. Only natural to want to get laid. Other than that she is great. I got 7 days till I can take her out on the town again. giddy up
 
I actually decided to drop out about 5 weeks out due to personal issues. Took a couple weeks off of contest dieted, then jumped back into it. Not planning on going any competitions at the moment, but I am pretty lean right now.

Unfortunate that you had to drop out.. but as they say... "life comes at you fast" and "ish happens". I am sure you would have tore it up.

What supps are you currently on?

Sad thing is I was pretty ripped the week of the competition, but I was not mentally prepared to go into it nor did I have posing trunks and tan stuff :trout:

Right now I am on:
Sesamin, Xtend, Anagen (6 caps a day), Fenotest (6 caps a day), CLA, Fish Oil, CEE.

Damn, Beast, you look incredible. I remember reading your early articles on BB.com when I was first starting training. Your development over the last few years has been amazing!
 
You are one sick looking mofo beast!! Sorry to hear that you had to drop out of the contest. I have been checking in alomost everyday to see if you came back with the results. By the way, I kind of stole.....um I mean adapted your training routine, as I needed a change, and want to see how it goes for me. SO far the workouts have kicked my arse!!
 
Thanks for the support everyone. Honestly I am loving training and dieting right now. Basically I am low-carbing it except for some oats and breakfast with a "cheat" meal when I go out during the weekend. I say "cheat" cause most of the times it is still pretty healthy food.

I Anagen works very well. I have not lost ANY lean mass while cutting. Looking forward to using it this fall to gain some lean mass.

ok these abs looks really good! you started out t 215 lbs. Do you remember how much you are on this pic?

1 Cup Oatmeal + 1 cup milk with breakfast (so about 60-70 grams carbs) then green veggies the rest of the day.

Yeah thats what he was hiding under SCIVATION GEAR :sad: as the rest of the Scivation minions wear Substance abuser t shirts...!!! uh i have GAME OVER, and hmm i like it, and I know the plans work...
