Google retains all data indefinitely
I saw this on MSNBC tonight about Google. They said they keep every search a person has ever done, every e-mail sent, and any other application that you go through Google for. Scary as hell.jdubz said:A friend sent me this link a while back. While they do have some interesting theories, they do seem quite paranoid. Invalid Link Removed
This amazes me:
They already can enforce martial law thanks to the war powers act...... Right now they are just pretending to use the constitution. As long as we are having some kind of a war every two years(i think) then the constitution is out.Matthew D said:wonder when martial law is coming?

If you read that whole thing it said that they want to look at a "target" week. They want us to think some terrorist **** "went down" and they want to find them. There hasn't been a terrorist attack on the US since Bush (and others) orchestrated 911. All this is just to make us think that they are actually looking for "terrorists".....when in reality they are the terrorists.
Bingo.Whiskey Steve said:They already can enforce martial law thanks to the war powers act...... Right now they are just pretending to use the constitution. As long as we are having some kind of a war every two years(i think) then the constitution is out.
At this point the big question is: are free and fair elections in this country still possible? With no paper trail, no recount is possible, and the government can simply TELL US who won, and we have little option but to accept it or resist.
I hate to say this, but...... It wont get better. And we have only seen the beginning of the of it.BigVrunga said:My prediction? Its going to get a hell of a lot worse before it gets better.

It'll get better. Perhaps not in our lifetimes, but it will get better. Governments topple when they get too weak to stay up and/or when they piss off enough people to bring themselves down. The US is no different.
From the looks of things, I doubt we voted bush in.BodyWizard said:At this point the big question is: are free and fair elections in this country still possible? The problem is that a majority of people think the government is on their side.motiv8er said:Ahem, why do you think our fore-fathers protected our rights to bare arms. Given at the time the threat of invasion by any number of groups was more eminant.

Even if records show you deleted the material seconds after you receive it, you have to report it or prepare to get shafted. I have a friend serving 2 yrs in prison for this. I saw the evidence against him, after the FBI raided his home at and drug his family through 2 years of waiting and threats to him about charging his family also, which consisted of 6, SIX, pictures that were deleted seconds after he found them.
Tell us more about this proxy server.. What does one need? A program? I think I'll just cover my ass and use it, if it's easy enough to install...
No need to get so paranoid. The gov. is trying to figure out what people are searching for, not WHO is the doing the searching.
That is why AOL, MSN, and Yahoo were so willing to hand over the info.

But let's turn the tables. I'm sure Google can tell us;
Which senator is surfing teen porn?
Which representatives are looking at gay porn sites?
Who in DC belongs to a swinger's site?
These dumbasses are opening a can of worms that will destroy them.

I get a lot of comfort from reading the works of the early patriots. Thomas Paine, Ben Franklin,Thomas Jefferson, Andrew Jackson. It is amazing to me how pertinate these writtings are 200 plus years later. This country was founded by some of the strongest willed people ever to live. They overcame the own prejiduces to form the greatest government ever known to man. The first to be by the people for the people and of the people...andhen2003 said:Well I'm glad to see that someone at least is as outraged about this as me. And I've worked with plenty of politicians who are good people who genuinely want to do the right thing - and hate the fact that the bad apples out there make everyone think all politicians are evil.
However, I do think this administration could care less about the Bill of Rights. Ben Franklin once said something like "people willing to give up a little freedom for a little security will have neither and deserve nothing." A lot of people have spilled their blood for the basic freedoms that make this country so unique, and George Bush is spitting on their graves.
Franklin.....some one said it earlier.ispymalik said:"those who are willing to sacrifice liberty for security-- does not deserve either"
