What state is this?Decided to go to the beach today! EVERYONE WAS AT THE BEACH.... There were NO parking and huge crowds with no masks. After 7 different beaches with no luck, we just went home. And the casinos are open!!!!! Why can’t the gyms be open, too?!?
Profile says CA.What state is this?
What state is this?
Yea, CA. The Bay Area. BLM everywhere, people laying around Presidio in big crowds with no masks. Half moon bay, nooooo masks. I guess it was a good thing we didn’t even get a chance to step out of the car.Profile says CA.
i can remember when california was a great place....nice to have good memories.Yea, CA. The Bay Area. BLM everywhere, people laying around Presidio in big crowds with no masks. Half moon bay, nooooo masks. I guess it was a good thing we didn’t even get a chance to step out of the car.
Well, I think it’s a win-win situation when we consider what we seem to know about COVID and people with chronic inflammatory disorders being much more likely to experience severe symptoms. Also consider that we started using biologics and steroids in efforts to control the inflammation in symptomatic patients.@Ricky10 but according to this, although we may feel more symptoms during winter due to the more active immune system, we are also, because of that, more resilient towards infections in the winter time.
Hence, Covid should be doing more actual damage to the lungs in the summer, as our immune system doesnt react so strongly as during winter?
If there is more damage done in the winter by covid, that would imply its the overactive immune system doing more damage to the lungs rather than the virus itself, no?
sorry haha i am confused
That’s interesting...I hate the notifications not working haha. Back in. I read the other day there were some cave workers in China in 2012 that got sick with a mysterious illness that now matches the Kung Flu.
i wonder if WHO was aware of this, lol....That’s interesting...
So apparently 6 workers became ill and 3 eventually died. Odd that they would not have been vectors for the creation of epidemic/pandemic back then?
Apparently tissue samples were sent the infamous Wuhan lab and it is believed that it subsequently “mysteriously“ leaked out this past December. Makes sense except for the lack of transmission back in 2012?
#WHO CARESi wonder if WHO was aware of this, lol....
What exactly do you think you were right about? We are at 170,000 deaths in the US, putting us on pace for 340,000 deaths in a year from this - which is getting pretty close to the death toll that WWII had on the US after many years of war.saw this one today... what virus? why are we still locked down? looks like i was right after all.. this has nothing to do with the virus. its about rights and control. guns are the next item they will try to take.

Again, you take proof of something working and twist it to your viewpoint. If they said we need to lockdown to avoid this, we lockdown, and the deaths fall dramatically - it worked! Keep doing it...unless you are an idiot.it was supposed to be two weeks of shut down.. remember.. to slow the curve.. it looks like those two weeks were the worst idea in history.. just look at the trajectory after 2 weeks..
Who is "they"? How the fuk can 300 million of you let yourself be terrorized by "them" ?saw this one today... what virus? why are we still locked down? looks like i was right after all.. this has nothing to do with the virus. its about rights and control. guns are the next item they will try to take.

When I was 20 I was traveling through town with my girlfriend and her father one day. There was a rundown park that was unusable and my girlfriend said, "They really need to take care of that and get it cleaned up."Who is "they"? How the fuk can 300 million of you let yourself be terrorized by "them" ?
The hell does anyone has to lose by standing up, when the other option is slavery?
I was implying @xR1pp3Rx narrative about war on gun ownership. When I was 20 I was traveling through town with my girlfriend and her father one day. There was a rundown park that was unusable and my girlfriend said, "They really need to take care of that and get it cleaned up."
And her dad snorted and said, "There is no 'they'."
I think it is pathetic that we have become so fragile that if you take away our movie theaters, nail salons and take out, we feel like we are being infringed upon. Meanwhile, half the people complaining are acting tough like they have their guns and gas generator and buggout bags. For real, suck it up already. Put on a mask when you go into a store, just like you put on your shirt. Buy your panties on Amazon.
The real irony is so many people have become anti-social azzhats through Facebook and Twitter that they don't even interact with others IRL anyway. They go to a restaurant and Facebook on their phone. Not everyone, but the large majority. So wtf are they even complaining about? Personally, I welcome the reduced exposure to most of society.
But I live in New England and we were hit hard and I NEVER felt that my needs could not be met during all of this. Yes, I didn't hang out with friends...but I am busy and don't get to do that much anyway. Plus, as you can tell from this thread, most people can only take me in small doses! Haha.
But even at the height Home Depot and Lowes were packed, I could get groceries, I could still text, call and even zoom my friends. I had Netflix and Amazon. I was ordering supplements and whatever I wanted on Amazon.
To act like this is slavery is really far fetched.
Yeah, I went on a tangent, sorry. I am with you guys on the gun ownership thing. Not sure how many times criminals have to attack unarmed populations in this country before people figure it out. The answer is not creating more unarmed populations!I was implying @xR1pp3Rx narrative about war on gun ownership.
Lol, yeah, I know. Brevity is not my strong suit. It is politically charged, I can agree there. The dems will definitely use anything they can as a weapon. Just look at BLM.im not going to read both books.. in your responces till later when i have more time but i am reffering to this lock down being politically charged and ive been saying it since the begining. thats all i am getting at. but again i will have to read your responce later when i can curl up next to the fire with some wine.
My point was that we should have never of locked down. other measures could have been taken. i used the graph to show that after exactly 2 weeks of lockdown the telemetry exploded. that didnt happen in sweden. Here is what that same dopey graph looked like last month, when the far right conspiracy guys were posting it all around saying the virus is done and no more restrictions at all were needed. Same two week data lag to zero...

And then the summer rebound started...
so... there u have it.. you just shored up my entire confusing post. maybe you should just write my posts for me to avoid confusion going forward.Yeah, I went on a tangent, sorry. I am with you guys on the gun ownership thing. Not sure how many times criminals have to attack unarmed populations in this country before people figure it out. Of course, politicians only care about gaining power, none of it really is about protecting citizens. Pelosi proved that when she let everyone go on vacation without reaching an agreement for stimulus, but quickly called everyone back when the USPS' inefficiencies posed a threat to them saaying an election. People suffering is fine, but they won't stand for a threat to their re-election.
It is politically charged, I can agree there. The dems will definitely use anything they can as a weapon. Just look at BLM.
Actually, deaths follow a good month from any actions taken.... the sequence is that people get infected, then hospitalized, then dead. So your graph shows perfectly that the lock down is what finally changed the trajectory of the virus and saved hundreds of thousands of lives. My point was that we should have never of locked down. other measures could have been taken. i used the graph to show that after exactly 2 weeks of lockdown the telemetry exploded. that didnt happen in sweden.
Lol, I think you do just fine man. You don't have to agree with me. The debate of different ideas is fun. You win some, I almost win others.so... there u have it.. you just shored up my entire confusing post. maybe you should just write my posts for me to avoid confusion going forward.
Megamind quote?...You win some, I almost win others.
Nice! You recognized it, impressive!Megamind quote?
Whiskey - i would suggest that even the graphs being selected are an element of manipulation and control. Note how the left leaning media always focus on number of cases. But since the US has done the most testing it's kind of expected to have a high number of cases found. Not to say we didn't screw up in controlling the spread, but the number of cases (*gasp) is a pretty shitty measure. The number of cases as a percent of tests being taken is a better indicator (and we are having a rebound in some regions which is not great news). But the 'deaths per million population' is still the gold standard for measuring the impact of covid. In that measure, the US is still doing better than Belgium, Spain, UK, Italy, and Sweden to name a few. With Brazil, Chile, and Peru now climbing fast up the charts in a bad way.I saw this chart earlier updated to today (makes USA look worse with the extra days).
basically to me it says that both the EU and the USA had a spike, the EU got a hold of it but the USA basically only managed to plateau, came out of lockdown too early (lockdown never properly enforced) and is getting fucked for it?
EU cases are under control but as soon as there’s the merest spike everyone is locking **** down over here. In the UK we have local lockdowns where restrictions are applied at town/city/region level.
I don’t really have a view on whether it’s being used to gain control....
I do agree that deaths per million is a better measure but from memory you guys were down in the 300s a month or so back, now in 500s and catching us.....I think most eu countries have stabilised that whereas USA and some others are still on the increase (it makes sense with your bigger population there will be a significant lag for that figure to catch up.Whiskey - i would suggest that even the graphs being selected are an element of manipulation and control. The US is experiencing a sloppy summer rebound if you ask me (quarantine fatigue) but so many of those are younger patients (partying or rioting) who recover easily, so our death rate is not as shocking as the case numbers (*gasp) would lead you to believe.

I completely agree with wearing a mask when in contact with others and also complying to personal hygiene.I saw this chart earlier updated to today (makes USA look worse with the extra days).

I don’t really have a view on whether it’s being used to gain control, my soon to be ex wife is a respiratory consultant and was leading the response at our hospital so I can say for sure it’s real and it’s not just the flu. I don’t think being asked to wear a mask or not lick random strangers is a massive burden to be honest. Whilst I’m unlikely to die I’d be a bit fucked off if my elderly relatives ended up dying because someone felt their right to not wear a mask was more important than someone else’s life.
Not a lot of science in that story to make it believable. They can't claim anything close to herd immunity without antibody testing to back it up.Sweden who didn’t lock down is the first country to develop herd immunity!
Sweden is developing herd immunity, some of the country’s experts claim, but the figures say otherwise
Sweden has an overall COVID-related death rate of 57.12 per 100,000, which is the ninth highest in the world, according to Johns Hopkins Universitywww.marketwatch.com
Not sure what this is supposed to prove, and all my far right buddies are parroting this same report as if new or meaningful. We have known this since the very beginning... if you are sick or weak, covid can kill you.
But CNN says we should live in fear and shut everything down. It’s irresponsible to be driving around without a face diaper on. Infecting everyone with a virus so contagious that they have to shove a 4” qtip up your brain in order to even get a sample of it.oh and boi-o... i guess the point thats real hard for you to get, is that about 9k people have actually died from the wuhan. AS PER THE CDC.
Let me present a hypothetical scenario here:oh and boi-o... i guess the point thats real hard for you to get, is that about 9k people have actually died from the wuhan. AS PER THE CDC.
if i'm dead my only concern would be that my insurance pays out to my beneficiaries at the same rate for either or...Let me present a hypothetical scenario here:
You have cancer and get the flu...the flu kills you. Do you want them to say the cancer killed you even though you would’ve lived potentially years longer with the cancer alone?
You have an autoimmune disease and are on immunosuppressants, you have an acute MI and the entire myocardium of your left ventricle blows out, you bleed into your pericardial sac, get hypotensive, and die. Did the autoimmune disease kill you?
oh and boi-o... i guess the point thats real hard for you to get, is that about 9k people have actually died from the wuhan. AS PER THE CDC.
yeah this one I do think is a bit sensationalist - after that many cases if reinfection was a common occurance im thinking surely we’d be seeing a lot more of it - there’s always outliers in anything. The fact reinfections aren’t common makes me think at least there does appear to be some sort of immunity for at least 6 months or soUh oh... and now this.
After 23 million cases recorded, Hong Kong just documented the first re-infection of the same person.
BBC News - Hong Kong reports 'first case' of virus reinfection https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-53889823
