Anyone still using CBD?

CBD never gave me any benefits at all.. tried it cause my bad sleep.
Bought Hi-Tech CBD a while back, didnt feel a thing

Best method of using CBD is suppository or vape. Oral is hit or miss for many due to low oral bioavailability. I tried vaping full spectrum CBD with terpines, and it is noticeable relaxing, and noticeable anti inflammatory.

I’ve moved to delta 8 or 9 for pain and inflammation. I found it does more than cbd. If you need cbd or delta pm me I have a company that is well trusted and cost effective.

I like D8 for sleeping but I can’t use it for anything else during the day because it lays me out. I’ve heard D9 is more of a energetic daytime product? Is that true?

The ones I get are 8mg and strong. Yes I can function on both but that’s me

So is D9 is a little more of a daytime strain?

No. Delta-9-THC is stronger/more sedating than Delta-8.

Get some Sativa and take 1-3 puffs if you're new to cannabis and are trying not to be knocked out.

Only place I'd get CBD from is a dispensary (I have one 10min from me)...these retail products for the most part are extremely weak.

I believe Cbd is to hyped. I consume thc-p and thc full spectrum .

It is thus becoming apparent how the CBD oil and the Rick Simpson oil are very different products. Since they are coming from different strains (hemp and cannabis), they naturally contain different amounts of cannabinoids. The Rick Simpson oil is a full spectrum plant extract of potent cannabis. It therefore contains very high levels of THC and other cannabinoids; easily in the range of 50-60% THC and 10-15% CBD, depending on the strain that was used. In addition to high levels of THC and CBD, other cannabinoids such as CBN and CBG are also present in concentrated amounts.
The CBD oil, on the other hand, contains high levels of CBD, but only very, very small trace amounts of other cannabinoids such as THC or CBN. CBD oil contains 4% CBD, and only 0.173% THC. As research has shown, THC shows promising potential for many conditions, which is why this psychoactive cannabinoid is an important part in any cannabis based approach.
Consuming simply a larger amount of the CBD oil is both expensive and a digestive challenge, since it is olive oil based. But even then it would not match the wide range of cannabinoids that are present in a full spectrum extract such as the Rick Simpson oil.

It has to be made absolutely clear that under no circumstances is the CBD oil any replacement for the Rick Simpson oil. It is a different product that cannot possibly replace the full spectrum oil.

olive oil CBD sounds terrible

Deltas aren't appropriate for blood pressure and other cardiovascular benefits though, correct?

No, deltas will reduce/regulate BP as well.

"These findings suggest that the positive chronotropic response to THC tends to maintain cardiac output which limits further decreases in blood pressure and the capillary filtration of aqueous humor decreases or the reabsorption of aqueous humor increases because of the systemic hypotensive effect attending THC inhalation."

I think the main problem with CBD is that you can probably find something that works better for whatever you are using it for. I'll take some Helios circumin over a CBD topical.

for better sleep I've had amazing results injecting vitamin D

is there anything CBD does best?

Looking for a healthy adjunct to my telmisartan for blood pressure control/reduction but I get side effects from everything.

did you try han swolo by chance? I wish we could get the quercetin-niacin crystals they use in their supps as a stand alone product.

My background: Retail supplement sales 22+ years. 100's of customers giving feedback on CBD

CBD: most effective, IMO, for stress and anxiety
moderately effective for pain with chronic use, poor results if using acutely like you would advil or aspirin
hit or miss for sleep, when effective higher dosing required(100+mg/day softgels in an oil base with Bioperine)

General Observations: If you are a heavy cannabis user you will likely experience poor results with CBD. I believe this is due to basically 2 things:1. Your cannabinoid system is already being saturated or heavily exposed to cannabinoids including cbd many times if consuming flower. 2. People have expectations far beyond what CBD can do. If you are used to pain relief from a heavy dose of delta-9 based product CBD is not going to really make that much of a difference.

In general, a combination of over-promising benefits combined with a glut of shitty quality products has left a wake of disappointed consumers who will slam CBD because it did not regrow their hair or make their d**k longer lol. This is often the case with new "HOT" supplements, see raspberry ketones, garcinia cambogia, and green coffee bean extract for more examples of this exact set of circumstances.

Delta-8
Great stuff IMO and far stronger than CBD in most ways but 100% psychoactive and thus not suitable for many people to use for daytime relief of symptoms. Not as strong as delta-9 and once again if you are a heavy cannabis user results will be diminished. From my own experience after using it nightly for about two weeks(it knocked me out and kept me asleep which is my biggest challenge) it now leaves me energized and can be used during the day was it needed.

If looking for BP support I would look to MANY other things first before trying CBD unless your BP is due to stress/anxiety.

Off the top of my head celery seed extract, hawthorn extract, magnesium, and citrulline or good ole AKG dosed a few times a day. If one was not already a simple 5mg/day cialis would also be a nice add-on.

The market is saturated with poor quality CBD so you need to find a very reputable company. I do find it helps with sleep and not much else

As much as I'm sure there's fake or bad CBD out there, there is also an absolute glut of perfectly good 3rd party tested raw material for very low prices. This why you may have seen all of these 1:1 CBD:THC products recently.

As the title states, is anyone still using cbd? What dose and brand?

We had rave reviews on our Invalid Link Removed TD - was like magic for localized pain relief. DM me if you'd like a sample.

I'm just to the point where I'm about to have another batch made - raws just came in from the supplier in Colorado.

Vaping is the most "efficient" means of administering CBD, however (from my understanding) you have to vape quite a bit to reach effective doses.

I’ve used a few bottles of this and as someone with several pain issues, it works. Nothing gets rid of pain 100% but this will have a dramatic impact.

I have never tried vaping cbd, but I really like gum with this substance and small buds that can be added to tea. I use cbd for its intended purpose and not as a prescription from a doctor for pain relief. But I know it is used for many things

CBN:CBD from 3chi is incredible for sleep. It’s non intoxicating and doesn’t make you drowsy but when I go to bed, I’m out. You also get the anti inflammatory benefits. Great stuff and not all that expensive.

I have an alcohol tincture brewing: 5g D8 distilate, 5g of THC-O distilate, 1 oz of ABV(vaped) bud, and 1/2 an oz of high grade cannabis.

Been thinking of adding in some CBD isolate. Anyone think it's worth it?

i've vaped, ate, rubbed, and smoked the flower of cbd....overall, i think it's a waste, i was a big supporter of the proposed benefits, but the benefits were not realized for me

i will say, smoking the flower is what i found to work best and low doses seemed to work prior to playing basketball, to avoid any type of anxiety as the heart rate increased.....but for sleep and inflammation, ehh, like most "supplements" the benefits weren't great

When it comes to dosing and brands, it's a bit of a personal journey. The ideal dose and brand can vary widely depending on individual preferences and needs.
Some folks find success with lower CBD doses, while others may opt for higher concentrations. As for brands, there's a wide array out there, each offering unique formulations and strengths.
If you're open to trying something new, you might want to consider exploring vegan CBD Gummies. They provide a delightful and user-friendly way to Invalid Link Removed. The world of CBD products is continually evolving, and it's exciting to see the diverse options available.

About the only thing CBD dose for me is it makes a good topical for sore muscles or joints. For blood pressure I have no idea, never used it for that. What I do know is normal (THC products) will probably raise your BP through serotonergic pathways. I don't know how (if any) serotonergic CBD is, but if you want to lower BP a good start would be using antagonists at serotonin receptors. Specifically 5-HT2A, 5-HT2B, & 5-HT4. A good botanical stack for this would be ginger extract and chamomile extract.

Thats odd, my GF has RA and she has said that it helps with her joint pain. Also showed up in her inflammation markers in her bloodwork
It's perfect for that, but I think GreenMachineX was wanting to see if it helped his BP in conjunction with an ARB med.

Gotcha. I never really had joint pain that bad, so I wouldn't be able to tell that one (and it wasn't helping true injuries). But it didn't work for anxiety or blood pressure.

I dabbled in CBD oil briefly a few years ago and unwittingly created a blend of supplements that led to a mild case of serotonin syndrome. I woke up in the early morning hours with a racing heart, cold/tingly hands and a general sense of anxiety. I carefully monitored my symptoms and this died down over the next day or two, but a week later it became apparent that I was dealing with a different issue at that point as I started experiencing an increasing level of neuropathy and other symptoms that led to concern whether I was experiencing something far more serious.

It took a very long time to eventually determine that I was dealing with vitamin B6 toxicity with the serotonin syndrome very likely being the trigger point of my body becoming B6 toxic. I've been slowly healing from this over the last 1.5-2 years or thereabouts and learned some powerful lessons about respecting the ability of supplements to interact with each other and lead to dangerous conditions. I also learned about the dangers of B6 supplements as well, as it's actually pretty easy to become B6 toxic on very low amounts as despite the fact that it's water soluble and excess is removed through the urine it's able to build up in your body if you become dehydrated, whether this is due to a vaccine, illness or other reason. As is the case with most of us that post here I am a heavy supplement user and for this reason I will never again touch CBD oil due to the hard learned lesson. I also intend to never again utilize vitamin B6 in supplement for as I managed to become toxic on only 10 mg per day. It's actually really hard to only ingest the required daily dose of B6 through diet alone as I've been on an RDA B6 diet as part of my healing regimen.

Thanks for your input, and I'm glad you're better now. I didn't know if CBD had any serotonergic properties to it like it's THC counterparts so your testimony helps. I've only ever used it as a lotion. No orals, vapes, or tinctures. So I knew virtually nothing about long-term chronic usage. Serotonin is nothing to play around with, and there's a lot of misleading information in the orthodox medical community about it. It's also anti-androgenic as a buildup of serotonin will inhibit GnRH in the hypothalamus.

I found that a Cbd gummy 30 minutes prior to a delta 9 gummy smoothes out the delta 9 affects, less paranoia and anxiety with the buzz. I'm a lightweight and get a nice buzz from 1/4 of a 5mg thc gummy. Sativa strain for focus and clarity, indica strain for sleep. Still like to smoke a good bud the sex is crazy afterwards. 🤪
