Seems like it's such a process trying to get a script for test. Seems like the only way is for me to come off entirely and feel like **** for months on months.

Any of you guys just say the hell with it and self trt using ugl labs?

It’s a process but worth if you find the right Dr, shop around and find the Dr that works for you, it took my awhile to find my Dr that I have now but he’s definitely worth it.

You really think you would need to come off for multiple months for your test to be low enough? As long as you're at the low end of normal and tell them you have all the symptoms of low t I bet it's easier than you think.

Personally I am glad to be on prescribed trt because it gets me regular blood work and blood pressure checked. I had no idea even at trt levels how much hematocrit can increase over several months and how much blasting or orals can throw **** out of wack.

I took blood drops (trest) for two weeks and stopped for a week before my blood test. Suppressed me perfectly for my blood work

If you really need a script for legal reasons or really want properly dialed in TRT, get the script. Otherwise, if you are still juicing seriously or even competing, it doesn’t make sense to me trying to appease bloodwork at pre-defined intervals to maintain a trivial script.

I base my bloodwork goals around my competition schedule for the year, not the other way around.

I had to wait 8 weeks after a ph cycle to get tested once. Then I had to get tested once more weeks later to further confirm the first test. Then I got my script and used it for weeks while feeling like ****. Doc wanted me to wait 6 months before considering a higher dose. I decided then I will take matters into my own hands. I asked if he would look at my bloodwork I order myself. He said yes. So I pass it along to him and have plans to meet with an endo to get further feedback. I have no desire to get a script. As long a qualified pro is eyeing my labs; that is good enough for me.

I do however think it's worth it if you want things truly dialed in. I'm not that concerned, just want good health markers.

Yeah that’s another caveat; if someone needs health guidance that’s pretty key. If they don’t understand why they’re seeing something or what to do about it, having bloodwork isn’t much help.

Find a new Dr, don’t settle for some Dr that won’t help you and just making things harder.

Age 50. Tried to get on trt through endo, had a total T of 266 and SHBG of 102 nmol/L, giving me a free T of 2ng/dl. Her response was "let's wait and see if it comes right on its own". Now on ugl gear.

Try an urologist brother. Mine is a younger dude who is fantastic and up on all the latest protocols. For my yearly follow ups I just to go to a local lab for bloodwork and the dr visit is online.

I did the exact opposite lol I got tired of being scared of bunk stuff & the hassel of getting product. So much nicer to have legit stuff delivered to your door without looking both ways at the mailbox. Now I just order the odd cycle here and there and if it gets seized or lost I'm not SOL. I'm slowly building up a stock of pharma test for a nice little blast haha

She actually said that I shouldn't jump on TRT because I might want to have children. When I told her this wasn't an issue she replied "Well, You're still young!"

These stories are wild. I had no idea some people had such a hard time getting a trt script.

The clinic I went to gave me a script after 1 blood test and a 10 minute conversation. Maybe the online clinics are a better option for people.

TD. I did not stop.
Td dien allowed you to score a low test result, not tip off doc and feel ok enough to manage etc. Good to know! ((Reason I mention is, I know I was extremely low test following an Msten cycle, and barely had the energy etc. for about a week into pct to do much at all. Often when I see posts mention of “they crashed their test to get a script” …after having my experience, I just think how!?))

It’s super easy actually.
Come off test for around 3 weeks, and use a sarm like s-23 while you wait for the ester to clear.
you bloods will come back nice and low.

Here's one members experience on getting on prescribed TRT.

Was easy and glad I did. My most recent bloods came back test 500’s and estrogen 14 (no anti e)
Doc said he wants it in the 700’s so he’s upping my dose.

Idk about other insurance but mine requires it to be 264 or lower, but if you go to a clinic, they’ll have different requirements for getting on without your insurance.

Exactly the amount I use, although I have added 25mg Proviron daily to help with my monumentally high SHBG.

If you find an unacceptable hit to your HDL with this, or cost becomes prohibitive, try cycling the Proviron out with high doses of Boron periodically. It can be had remarkably cheap, and 10-20mg for several months can really knock SHBG down for most. You won’t feel it acutely the way you will feel an androgen like Proviron, but bloodwork will show the big picture and it can make a significant difference over time.

I use 50mg of hdrol. It’s an effective dose for performance enhancing benefits without a big impact on the liver.

Any dry oral is going to lower SHBG, but I’d be much more worried about longterm dyslipidemia promoting atherosclerosis and other cardiovascular disease. Staying on orals while cruising is asking for longterm CVD problems.

Just my two cents reading this, mostly covered by @Smont and @Hyde and @brofessorx
=
@Screwtape - yeah I had a bad lady doc in CA, before moving to TX to raise the fam. Find a MAN, male urologist. I wound up on TRT after a seizure July 2018 (long story), but after CA lady endocrinologist gave me the same story of false recovery at 40-50 years old... "let's see if it comes back" and "let's try a Testosterone 'taper cycle' to kickstart it (non sense, she would not even do the Clomid thing which my Urologist in TX did suggest) - that CA-endocrinologist lady just gave me a false 'recovery' read from left over "tapering of Test" in my blood. Once that cleared, she left me LowT for 2 years (she convinced me to use Test RX). Later, I realized the taper failed... when 4-DHEA from Iconic actually made me feel way better (was so low on androgens, low energy). I go back, then she puts me on friggin' measly 60mgs/week. This was like dead-old man dose barely any free T like 150-200ng/dL when checked by TX urologist" Ditch that chick and find a urologist pronto. She also had a crux against 'quality of life' TRT use and athletic TRT too, the way she lectured me..

@Mattgainz69 - as noted by BroffesorX, it's actually pretty easy if you have a decent urologist.
1.) Go off any cycle ~3-4 weeks and get T-levels checked. You may wish to get your own bloodwork before first urologist visits (clean up cholesterol, liver, kidney values that may indicate gear use) so that may add a few more weeks depending how much you've been running PEDs. Hydrate, keep using cycle support supps to help. Bloodwork will normalize and you'll be lowT.

2.) Once you establish lowT values with urologist dude, you'll get a TRT-script. If he asks if you have libido/erection issues, go for the gusto - say yes - and get Cialis at the same time :) Got RX for 6 months of Test Cyp 200 + Cialis for the smallish insurance copay $, with 3x refills to boot (so like 2 years total).

3.) Once on TRT, he'll likely check ~6 months later, after first dose titration. So you can run a cycle or two before cleaning up the bloods again. Once past that, the frequency of visits maybe annual only.

4.) Good male urologist gave me all the options (play a little stupid here, like you don't know) if he talks about oral testosterone pills (now 2x a day), or even SubQ TRT (i was surprised he mentioned this), or transdermal TRT. I said I suck at daily vitamin regimens and was used to the plain weekly TRT inject (UGL wise.. before the low dose TRT n CA, then better TRT in TX).

If I could either eat this or oral steroids every day forever (and only one forever) with a guarantee of no health decline from it, I would definitely pick the cheeseburger.
Me too, not even close 😂

I'm currently waiting for bloodwork results ordered by the same female endo. Now I'm on ugl gear, the next results are going to be at the upper end of the scale (hopefully), so I'm definitely not going to get a referral to a urologist. Maybe I should have waited around and hoped I would actually get put on trt, but my hopes weren't high after the initial consultations and I didn't want to spend months waiting around feeling miserable and weak, so I guess I'm depending on ugl gear for the foreseeable future.

Wait why are you sticking with the lady endocrinologist as you said, "Her response was "let's wait and see if it comes right on its own"? That's not a good sign... And you already expect to have given her a "high testosterone" result from your own UGL TRT (you wanted to do that)?

My advice was to get you to avoid the same mess I had with a lady endocrinologist deal, sounds similar to yours... I was in similar shoes and they knew I was a mess from RC benzos and was "over cycling" without proper blood work, led to a seizure in 2018 on benzos withdrawal..

With the lady endo, I wasted a bunch of time, also relied on UGL TRT.. until I got a sensible Urologist in TX this year. Oddly I got better vision and dental care in TX versus CA too, other stories...

FYI, it doesn't take months, more like a few weeks, to get RX. Don't show any more "high test" results though, lol.. Just drop the UGL Test, go low for a few weeks and get a real TRT script from a male urologist in the 100-150mg /week range typical. Once you got the script and past the doc visits you can run high Test cycles between 6-12 mo followup doc visits.

Like why say "I guess I'm depending on UGL TRT for foreseeable future"? Perhaps you think being low Test for a few weeks is going to be worse than it is? Buy some 4-DHEA and drink energy drinks, lol, and then get to the right doctor.

I mean I got sent to the endocrinologist for TRT at Kaiser In CA, but that's was from a grandmal seizure... Just curious why you're bothering with a lady endo at all?

The male urologist path is more sensible to get TRT via script... If your lady endo is trying various tricks to get your test levels to "right itself" or similar non sense mine tried like a Test-taper restart of Gonads.. you're better off spending your doctor's visits elsewhere...

Now the Dr. Is going to say look, it came up on its own. I'm completely stumped on why anyone would not be happy with there Dr.s bad decisions And then do something that's going to reinforce the dr.s opinion

Your paying the Dr, that means the Dr. Is working for you, your paying then for a service the same way you would pay a carpenter or an electrician to do work on your house.

A bad dr is like a bad contractor. If they came to build a deck and used the wrong material and made the deck the wrong size you wouldn't be happy and you'd get a new contractor, but if you pretended like you were happy with it and paid that person now you're reinforcing them that it's okay for them to just do whatever they want

This thread was posted in here before to help you and others (screwtape), because it’s pretty straight forward.
Look at my post dates, it’s basically 3-4 weeks off injectable test and oral steroids.
I supplemented during this time with a sarm, s-23.
I lost no size or strength.
for erections, I used 10mg tadadrive from supreme labs (cialis)
Only noticeable side of being off test is was more irritable, but that also could’ve been just due to normal stress (handling my mothers affairs after her passing)

then I was given my first shot of 120mg test c/p blend.
(They went with the blend of prop/cyp initially because my test was so low.)
Now I’m legal, and it’s one less thing to worry about.

Doubt it.
If your HDL can stay up in a healthy range and your triglycerides stay under ~triple that value, you’re probably not at risk. Another member here had good HDL still after nearly a year on Winstrol and Anavar. For myself, 6 weeks of 50mg Var and my HDL was down to ~26 as I recall. Even with my trigs under 100, that’s a blatant risk, statistically.

So it comes down to individual response (duh), but many guys taking orals can’t keep HDL above 40.

FYI, S23 gives me loads of aggression. Like clockwork, I’d take it preWO and be pissed off before I even got to the gym.

Also, condolences on your mother’s passing.

I'm living in a country with a poorly funded public health system. There are long waiting lists for everything and not a lot of choice about who you get to see. Also, private trt here is about 20 years behind the rest of the world.
