Any reason to throw in a natural anabolic while on trt?

Hey folks.

I'm currently on trt. I have been for years and I have maxed as much gains as possible from having improved test levels. I seem to have hit a plateau in terms of gaining mass.

I could increase my dose but in the past this has always had some downstream effect elsewhere. I also believe my receptors are fried. I want to keep my dose low to try and reset them slightly if possible.

Would throwing in a few natural anabolics help squeeze out some extra gains?

I fancy throwing in some Laxogenin and Epicatechin. Decent doses and as far as I'm aware these use different muscle building pathways.

Any other pathways worth tackling? Any supplements/ingredients I could incorporate? I will also increase food. I'm almost at my max in terms of staying lean while on 3500 calories. This seems a calorie amount that I don't pile fat on but still sit in a slight surplus.

Thanks

My staple the last 8 weeks has been Anabolic XT, Anabolic Effect and about 6 weeks ago threw in Triton, EpiChaos and Ursa from Apex. All of these have been a huge help in increasing size, strength and vascularity from a natty standpoint. My TRT dose is currently only 100mg/wk.

I think you’d be real happy with even just stacking the two SNS/CEL products if you didn’t want to deal with TD’s.

There's been a lot of great feedback on Anabolic Effect, Anabolic XT, and Phosphatidic Acid XT from people on TRT.

I'm not a fan of Laxogenin in general - it seems to work for some people and not for others, but for the money spent, I think one can buy much better products for the price.

I love Epicatechin and use it year round for the overall health benefits of it. I personally use Epi-Plex at 2 caps per day; but for people that prefer topicals, XPG just recently released Epicatechin Gel as well.

Here is a link to a great mini review on Epi-Plex from a very well respected poster (not on TRT, but in incredible shape).

Here's a link to the intro thread with feedback on Anabolic XT:

A few natural anabolics a month will cost say 120-150$ a month. You could take 2iu of GH about 5 days a week - which would do much more for the same price. GH is the TRT add on.

I don’t think laxogenin is around much anymore. I remember delsolrob saying he couldn’t source it anymore. I don’t remember the details.

I also don’t think there’s any chance your androgen receptors are fried. I don’t think that’s a thing. Androgens are very different from stimulants.

Any of the products you mentioned as well as any of the "Test Boosters" that use SHBG binders to increase free testosterone levels. Those typically work well for someone on TRT.

Also if truly hitting a bit of a natty plateau you might find you have to bump your calories and get a little softer to move to the next level.

I'd say a natty anabolic that's not specifically a test booster, or something that boosts free t could help.

Ah I missed this. Good call

Also not a bad idea. Couple iu of gh if funds allow is gonna be a great addition

I like recomp products on top of my TRT. Currently running Blackstone Labs Recomp RX in a slight surplus and building muscle while cutting fat.

High dose colostrum is something to consider too if you don't want to use GH. California Gold has the best deal on it imo.

I have tried GH at 2iu and my hands became very numb and tingly. I felt tired on it also so I ran the course and stopped.

MK677 might be worth a go?

I would think you may have the same symptoms, but you could give it a try.

I agree with @botk1161 - that you would likely have the same symptoms.

MK is one of the only things like this I ever tried bc I'm very untrusting and skeptical of the quality of things like that - and I'll just say that its the worst physical side effects of literally anything I've ever taken in my life. So if you are already sensitive to that type response, I wouldn't try it. I literally wouldn't take MK for 2 weeks if you paid me a thousand dollars to do it.

What kind of sides did you experience?

MK is likely his best legal/no hassle to acquire option and stacks exceptionally well with test. It presents no liver stress, bad lipids etc or other sides typical of most PE's. You should watch your fasting blood sugars/insulin sensitivity though, and not use too much for too long. You also need to periodically come off as taking it every day, day after day after day leads to attenuation. Most people do well 5 days on, 2 days off or similar schedule. Typical dose is 12.5 to 25mg/day. The latter put my IGF-1 levels a touch over the high end of normal.

I will concede that in some, lethargy and hunger aren't fun. However taking it at night/before bed can alleviate the former and to some extent the latter (assuming you're dieting, and eating too much is a problem). I get these two sides as well, but find after a week or 2 of battling through them - it gets much better.

I have nothing good, positive, or nice to say about MK.

I held so much fluid weight from it I was absolutely miserable and felt like crap and slept like crap.
This was years ago back when it was much easier to actually get quality material.

To each their own - I was answering him specifically as to if he had negative sides off gh, I wouldn't expect it to be better off MK, and maybe worse.

Iconogenin by Iconic Formulations is still available. I’ve been using it for the past 2 years.
