And here we...GO! The Dark Knight.

nothing wrong with T4. Its going to be badass. just wait. O and i heard there is suppose to be another conan.
dude the way the last terminator ended you cant help but want to see some more.

and conan, shoot, i just bought the double dvd and it brought me back to childhood. I loved those movies and those type of movies in general, bad ass kicking ass with big guns or big sharp weapons. Another Conan would be sick but who would be cast as Conan? it sure as hell cant be Arnold. Gunther or Cutler? LOL.

I went and saw the midnight show last night, I had to work in the morning but it was totally worth it, Dark Knight was awesome!

An AMC theater here in chicago was showing it on 16 screens! ALL sold out within a DAY!
I am going sunday if tickets are available....
Anyone wanna guess how much it will pull in first week? I think its going to ream all other summer movies.

Holy ****, this movie takes it to the next level... dayum.

it was like a more developed version of spiderman 3. Well though out, well developed at some points complicated but it all makes sense at the end.

P.S was it only me or was the ledgers acting so good, so crazy, so sick that it made you get the chills. When he licked his lips in that crazy man way I got goosebumps.

fuk tome cruise. christain bale will be a bad ass john o connor. And christian bale signed up to be in the next 3 terminator movies! WHOO! and Max payne is being played by mark wahlberg. Also for the guys who are into japanimation they are filming right now dragon ball z!
I think Eric Mabius would be the best person to play Max Payne. I remember when i watched resident evil i thought if they ever make a max payne movie this guy would be the best choice because he looks just like him.

I just watched the first 35 min of "The Dark Night" on my comp and so far I am very impressed by it!

MASSIVE ****ING SPOILER ALERT

There, that takes care of that. I found it interesting they did not rework the ending with Harvey Dent, in light of Heath Ledger's passing. It seems as if the last confrontation between Batman and The Joker was to be the ideological framing of the entire series: The clash between a complete psychopath, immoral to the core; and an archetypal hero, the complete opposite. However, I doubt the producers and studio will attempt to replace Ledger, given his perfect performance, and they killed off the plausible replacement villain. Looking down the list of Batman villains, believe characters are few and far between. Dent would have been the most logical choice.

I was shocked at this too. The only thing left is to work in Robin and maybe some of his lesser villains-clayface, bane, another catwoman or poison Ivy?Pretty limited appeal.. The jokers out-can't get any better than ledger.

Definitively surprised me that they killed off Dent/Two Face....I thought that was surely going to lead into the next movie...Bane has been done, but that can surely be topped performance wise...Im not sure the character is worthy of an entire movie though..

holy

Heres a preview for Max Payne!

i think they might havfe to replace the joker. But if they would replace the joker who you think can do it? serious

They better ****ing not! Robin would bring this amazing soon to be series into a joke. Bale said it himself, if they bring in Robin hes walking.

As for other villains, I would personally love to see a spawn off of Two Face (since the best option of keeping him is gone) and go into Black Mask. It's realistic to an extent (unlike Freeze, and some other notorious villains).

The rewrite of the ending would have been so easy to keep Two-Face, and create a plausible villain. They could have used footage to kill the Joker when Batman said he would not, create a fallibility he was preaching about anyway, and then set up a climatic encounter between two disavowed Gotham heroes.

Instead, they went "Oh yes, that's right, we forgot, we're Hollywood producers. Let's **** it up!".

they still have villians for the next batman. ive heard its in the works right now. this time batman is going to be deployed to the middle east!

There's villains for sure, just not many believable villains. I thought Batman Begins and TDK gave fairly plausible/feasible explanations for the genesis of these villains. Bane, not so much.

i didnt see the movie iron man but my friend says they are both just as good... true? is it worth seeing

I'm not going to lie, I did actually like Iron Man better. I actually liked Batman Begins better than TDK!

egadz!

Still a great film, though.

Damn really? Personally I have Dark Knight in the tier above both Batman Begins and Iron Man, and Batman Begins and Iron Man adjacent on that second tier.

I really dug the dark undertone of Dark Knight and the complexity (well complexity for this genre) of the story line, and saw Joker as a comic book villain coming to life in a way I thought was not possible.

Did you happen to see Hulk?

No, I never got the chance. Anything would have been better than Ang Lee's mockery.

Disclaimer: Pmiller is not a comic book guy what so ever and has no knowledge pertaining to the story of the different characters in this movie. He was and always will be a teenage mutant ninja turtles fan and did not have time to follow these as well.

My guess is that cat women will be part of the next movie. When batman is getting his new suit he asks alfred how it will do against dogs and he reply something along the line of it will protect you from cats. Foreshadowing maybe??

Interesting!. I didn't think of that. In batman begins, they allude to the joker so you might be on to something.

i thought it was pretty good but i was really surprised that my wife who hates those types of movies loved it! however, she still refuses to watch transformers

Am i the only one who think Dark Knight is getting so much viewers because of Heath Ledgers untimely death? Really, i dont think it was that good but maybe being tired had something to do with that. Ill agree, Iron Man was more enjoyable imo.

Im sure his death brought more viewers in, But his acting wouldve been exactly the same if he didnt die. So the movie is still just as good as if he was alive still. Im just pissed because now in the next batman their gonna have to say that the joker died or some **** instead of actually showing him . :duel:

I went into the movie thinking his acting was given high reviews because of his death and I was completely off. He did an outstanding job. My GF didn't even recognize him in the movie. She said "Isn't heath Ledger supposed to be in this movie?"

I would disagree somewhat. I saw both on opening day, and I know for a fact that at Batman Begins I did not see swarms of fourteen year-old girls wearing retro Batman t-shirts. Some of them really ruined the experience for me, actually. Kind of cheapened the film, IMO.

a lot of people are starting to say it's going to come close to titanics's 600 million domestic gross. I'm thinking its gunna be close to 500-525 million.

I have to agree with Mullet. I enjoyed Batman Begins > TDK . I think it was because I like seeing him training, reminds me of The Last Samurai which I enjoy. I'd say TDK was on par with Iron Man for me.

Yeah, well it was the plausible explanation (at least plausible in terms of SuperHero movies) of Batman's genesis. Totally agree with you.

Not for me. I got digits.

I'm tanking here, someone save me...
