It's so true especially at commercial gyms I'll see guys walk in and look around abd have the most disgusted annoyed look on their face and all I can think is if you were as badass as you think you are you would be smart enough to have backup exercises in case you can lt do what you wanted and the funny thing is they need to change it up its the same exercises with the same weight on the same order on the same days lol

I've appreciated every workout I've had this last year. They've all been worth it. And you're right gp, the whole point of Smont's thread was: we can't decide what's worth it, you have to decide for you.

But I can say this much: being forced to take 2 weeks off was only a speed bump for me. Every muscle fiber was yearning to get back in the gym. I'm currently doing my first (relatively easy) leg work out, and it's been glorious.

So when you're in the middle of a greuling workout, enjoy the moment and savor the fact that you are building a bigger, badder, better you. And when you're second guessing if you should go to the trouble of going to the gym and putting in the time, and suffering, remember that you're never guaranteed another opportunity. Be smart, don't kill yourself and rip your muscles and tendons off the bone, but stay driven and pursue your goals to reach your dreams.

So many people want a free lunch. To minimize the negatives is sensible, but to truly expect anything in this life to come without a cost is simply naive.

Half-measures tend to only produce half-results.

The beauty of having a home gym. I can decide to deal with people at the gym if I want, but I often just kick my ass at home. That way there’s only one other person to deal with: my other personality who is young and durable (which just isn’t how it is lol). I hate that dude, gets me hurt all the time.
