Alves got popped for a diuretic after the DeSouza fight (IIRC, it was spironolactone), but it is sometimes used to cover a dirty UA.

What conclusions are you speaking of? Its funny that you try and talk about logistical intelligence when that has no bearings here... For those of you that are wondering Logistical intelligence is the talent for planning and managing the flow of goods, materials, personnel, or information so that tasks are done accurately and on time. Actually Hurdle and I have met and talked with Thiago in Miami and have had favorable conversations with him in which he even asked that hurdle come train with ATT. Is this where I lay down my aces?

I stated stuff that was true what you said. First I dont drink often and when I do its beer. Second I live in a house in a very nice college town on the beach. 3rd my girlfriend(s) are not fat that is one thing I would not touch. I would rather use my hand than that crap. ive said that i dislike gsp but i do think hes going to win. if thiago wins by a very stunning fashion i guess ill be happy because i know theres to many good fights on this card a couple might end up not that great.

MMA Weekly is reporting via interview that Thiago is ~183 as of Wednesday as opposed to his usual 188-190 at the same time. A 13 lb cut should be easy for him. No word on what GSP's current weight is.

GSP was on a Canadian sports talk show and said he is around the same weight. He was approximately 192 a week-and-a-half ago.

Glycogen depletion. Now comes the sodium manipulation and hyperhydration before the fun in the sauna. They'll be roughly the same weight, but Thiago will be slightly larger due to his frame.

Definitely. GSP carries weight on his frame much differently. It will be interesting to see the size comparison between them both tomorrow at the weigh-in, and the night of the fight: GSP has put on about 6lbs of lean mass for this fight, so it will be interesting.

He looked bigger and leaner than ever against BJ and he is still young enough to keep adding size with just a tweak in diet and his outstanding S&C program. The height difference also skews their respective looks.

True. Thiago is 5'9", correct? I believe Georges is closer to 5'11". If GSP added 6-7lbs lean mass between now and UFC 94, he will be pretty large. I am really interested to see how the strength advantage, or lack thereof, will play out between these two. Most of what I have read from fighters that have trained with both, though, points to GSP being freakishly strong, and probably able to overpower Thiago.

Did you see that GSP brought a few Thai Boxers from France in preparation? (Or went there, ICR.) It will be interesting to see how his MT defense/offense matches up with Thiago's, if he was learning the Dutch or French-style MT.
