LMAO mine tape out over 16", but my long ass legs make them look smaller than they are. I have JUST NOW started working them the last 3 weeks. I know I need to do them more often, but when I am short on time abs and calves are the first thing to go.
When I do do them, I count out a full 5 second negative all the way down, flex up and hold at the top for 2 seconds. I have so much more to do with them. I have already talked to the wife and she knows I am going to need more gym time. So I will be getting better size starting at the beginning of the year
heres a good way to help them grow- calves like your abs can be worked everyday, but they have to be worked harder and smarter as these are used the most during the day.
1- doing that bunny hop sh1t up and down on a standing press, don't do that- that is the best way to tear your arch or screw you achilles tendon
2- should be a slow raise up and you have to squeeze at the contraction and on the negative, all the way down with a pause
3- stance- i use the following foot placement
feet together I I
toes pointed in / \
toes pointed out \ /
do 10 reps in each stance- that will count as 1 set- i promise you, if you slow the movement and squeeze at the contraction you should start to see the heart/diamond shape in the calves soon

Lol mine go 16.5-17 . When I wanna focus on them I just go as heavy as possible in 2 or 3 different moves for ~8 reps and ether do 5 second reps or I stretch them in between sets 7 seconds stretch down for 5-7 seconds 3-5 times and hit the next set

Felt cloudy going into the gym no focus not sure why, said whatever just do it anyways. Put 3 plates on the bar after a good warmup and weight was feeling lighter then ever went down for an easy 6th rep and right back up the weight went down for a 7th rep still feeing light and went to go up and felt something very odd on the upper left side of my chest right above the chest and below the shoulder . Only way to explain it is sandpaper being dug into my shoulder and being scraped across my chest. After resting about 10 minutes I Dropped to 225 to see if I could keep going got 3 reps and said no way not happening , if it's not completely fucced I'm gunna make it if I keep going . Tried going to biceps still wasn't feeling good . Hit a 15 minute calve session and got the hell out . Really upset about this but I'll live , I'll just throw the tens unit on today and stay away from shoulders and chest work this week . I'm at the very end I'm gunna finish strong

Im sure I'll feel better by the end of this week I've had the tens pounding it and got some heating pads/ ice packs on it . I'm sure it came from moving the bar too fast, coming down specifically , been playing it over in my head and that's the only thing it could be , even asked my training partner and he even said he was surprised at how easy it was moving so definitely think I came down too fast
Haven't been able to get out of bed since I came back from the gym, not sure if feeling lethargic or just drained from energy . Honestly the diet was pretty sh1tty this week so could be a mix of all 3 but definitely feel like I got hit by a bus. Bout to force myself up, knock down a Bang and go food shopping and meal prep . Probably gunna have some sort of high calorie shake as I also have no desire to eat right now.

To add to that, when I hurt my back I didn't feel like doing shyt. This week I have slid some training in and slowly getting back on it. I ate like shyt the whole fcking week. I didn't feel motivated to do much of anything. It got better mid week, but it fcking sucked a lot

Next time you get back to pressing (whenever that is) you should post a vid of your benching, and perhaps we can give you some feedback on ways to tighten your setup. I know you are a strong presser, but if we can make you safer with less pain you will make more long term progress.
I know I'm a naturally bad bencher with my ape arms, but that's why I actually feel most comfy explaining the bench - I had to truly learn my way technically to a 315 bench over years.
