Thats what the gifter heard they were like!! i just tried them standing, i got 3 but they are much easier dtarting on the ground

Im going be adding these in... i feel them already

I prefer these to the ab wheel if you have access to a Swiss ball. Also weighted hanging leg raises held in the "L" position are great for the abs/core.

The ab wheel is great for anti spinal extension. Focus on keeping your back neutral throughout and resisting the arch that you'll want to fall into. I think its a great tool and exercise for athletes. Start pm the ground (as you've seen) and eventually progress to standing, which is a relatively advanced status as far as athletes I've run into

I just tried standing to see if i could

What is this standing ab wheel you guys are talking about?

I love my ab wheel! I am working on progressing to doing them standing but can only get one so far lol

They are rough standinf up, i didnt expect it to be that hard

^^^ can you explain why bro?

You heard wrong. Very wrong.

rodja, i agree with you but just for the sake of education purposes. why is it good for your back!

I have one but never use it. It scares me!!!

To say it is good for your back is inaccurate as it hits the entire core in a similar fashion to a plank. It requires stability from not only the erectors, but also the rectus abdominis (and, to an extent, the lats, traps, and delts).

One side of your back more? Just go straight. It's not a difficult concept and if you can't you need better control and awareness of your body in space. Come on now... And it could be problematic for your back if you do them wrong. It's called an anti-extension exercise bc you resist spinal extension and maintain neutral spine throughout. Not doing that defeats the purpose
