37 and thinking of doing my first cycle

Hi guys,

I am in the same boat as alot of the other older guys on this forum. I'm 37 and I have been lifting and doing crossfit for about 2-3 years now consistently. I am currently stuck on a plateau at 170lbs and about 16% bodyfat. I am looking to accelerate some gains and want to gain in lean muscle and strength. Given that this is my first cycle, I want something really mild just to see how it will be.

I read about Hdrol as a mild and was thinking of using this cycle. It is probably the same as what other people have posted as I based it off of that.

1-6 hdrol 50/75/75/75/75/75
1-6 cycle assist (Blockade by Assault Labs) or any other recommendations

PCT:
7-10 Clomid 50/25/25/25
7-10 test boost product - some DAA product

You will enjoy this cycle. Go for it. You'll get stronger, bigger ( or leaner ) depends on goals and diet. And will probably feel lethargic.

Epistane is also another great choice for first cycle. It is my favourite.

Thanks Kansui. I also understand that Hdrol is a methyl based PH and is more stressful on the liver. I have been reading up on horror stories on line about the liver toxicity. Are these stories just blown out of proportion?

I dont really drink and never had any liver problems in the past.

I would have to say, yes, it will affect your blood pressure, but not permanently. I've used epistane before, had a blood test afterward, and my levels were fine. I can't speak specifically about Hdrol.

The only down side to taking something like this is that once the cycle is done, you don't keep 100% of the gains. For me, that's demoralizing. But if I can keep some or most though a well thought out PCT, then I'm a happy camper.

Hdrol or Epi would be good option.
I would go with CEL Cycle Assist over Blockade though~ its better dosed and more comprehensive for a PH cycle if you are concerned about any sides. BP, elevated liver values ,etc are all possibilities with any PH cycle

What mw1 said is correct, Cycle Assist is well dosed. Some good options for the natty test booster portion of your PCT DAA, Bulbine, Tropinol XP, or Intimidate SRT.

Now that I have done even more research, I am now thinking of 1-andro instead of Hdrol. Since, this is my first PH, I just want to make sure I'm safe and don't have any lasting negative side effects. Methyl vs. non-methyl.

so much to think about. argh. killing me. any guys have perspective on this?

There's a fine line between a good oral cycle and liver stress. I don't do orals anymore, just inject. But I understand what it's like when you're just starting

I used to hate injecting. Then I started thinking about how jacked I was getting from it so now I like it.

I ran blood work 2 months after a Havoc cycle and everything was good to go. Week 4 of the Havoc cycle did come with a little bit of low back pain, possibly caused by liver and kidney stress, but it wasn't too bad.

Lower back pain= lower back pump. You can't feel liver or kidney stress there aren't any nerve fibers in them. If there were you'd feel everything.

if you already got blockade use it, otherwise I'd suggest Cycle Assist. Looks all fine to me tho!

5-6g of taurine can help! make sure you're drinking ~2 gallons of water a day as well

Thanks guys for your advice. I think i'm going to go for a milder PH like Finaflex 1-andro because it is my first cycle and I want to be safe and see how I react to PHs.

If everythign goes well, I may delve deeper and use Hdrol in the future.

I like Epi...had good strentgh gains on it and leaned up a bit.

I'm more into the injectables now as well though...just a progression I think.

As for the liver toxicity, keep in mind that while they are rated for such, just don't drink while taking them and it's not as bad as most make out. I've had in length discussions w/ pharmacy buddies and we've compared the toxicity ratings of PH's against AAS orals such as Dbol and they're not overly concerned with either if you're not adding to the issue. They said drinking 4-5 drinks a day is way more stressful on the liver than these. Some will call me out on it, but I'm lucky to have friends in the medical profession that I lean on for information. I'm not saying I'm right, but that I trust their opinions.

Thanks NCost! I already purchased 1-andro. Lookign back if i known this, then I would probably have gone with Hdrol.
