Buffalo
Cincinnati

- Buffalo.. Cincy just needs help.. the AFC North looks weak this year as Cincy, Baltimore, and Cleveland are all struggling.

New York
Cleveland

- NY.. I mean.. They are playing the BROWNS....

Carolina
Detroit

- Carolina... make Detroit run the ball and take them away from their comfort zone in the passing game. Carolina has a strong D and will force turnovers. Cam will rebound after his mistake in front of the camera.

San Francisco
Indianapolis

- SF, Luck is doubtful (has practiced, but they are ruling him out)... what will Indy be able to do and for how long?

Tennessee
Miami

- Miami, Tenn with Mariota game time decision.. Eh... You saw how bad they got crushed by Houston.

Los Angeles
New York

- LA... Should be a good game here, two decent teams going head to head. Can eli win this game himself? Because they sure as hell can't run the ball. Their O-Line is just as bad as Seattle.

Arizona
Philadelphia

- Philly looks good, Zona has been struggling and will have to rely on that pass game to win this one.

Jacksonville
Pittsburgh

- Pitt (This could be a shoot out)

Baltimore
Oakland

- Oakland, Baltimore is not looking sharp ATM

Seattle
Los Angeles

- This could go either way... I will give the edge to LA at home. Seattle just can't run the football and places the game in Russell's hands as he scrambles for his life with a weak O-Line.

Green Bay
Dallas

- This game is going to be a toss up. GB Is strong, Dallas is shaky. Will Dallas show up? I am going to say GB wins, and Dallas & Dak continue the sophomore slump.

Kansas City
Houston

- Houston showed promise last week and put up 57 points, KC is strong on both sides of the ball. Will Watson pull the impossible and win another one after his W last week?
I will pick KC but this could go either way. This should be a great late game.

Minn vs Chicago (MNF)
Minnesota.. Starting a new QB, Chicago has been struggling.

Luck isn't back yet.....

He practiced, but on the injury report they listed him OUT, wonder how long they will hold him on the sidelines.
I hope the NFL is as exciting as CFB was yesterday...
MSU and Michigan
Oaklahoma losing
Buffalo game going to 7 Overtimes.

Most likely out for another week or 2..

I think this week has very good matchups, should be one of the better Football Sundays...not sure if I see any blowouts on paper, outside of CLE...

Last week had a lot of good matchups, and we saw some upsets. You never know.. That is why they line up every sunday and play ball. Hoping for some close and fun games to watch. Tonight's matchup should be great.

Jags crush the Steelers off Ben's 5 picks.
Cincy & Buffalo was a close one, but the Bengals pulled it off even with a poor performance from Dalton.
Wentz throws 4 TD's and blows away the Cardinals at home.
Browns bench Kizer at half and bring in Hogan who looked good. Not enough to beat the Jets in a close one 17-14
Detroit and Carolina had a battle in the air as both teams barley could run the ball. Cam looked sharp and edged the Lions.
Miami controlled the line of scrimmage and held off the titans in a close one 16-10
Chargers and Giants... someone had to win, and the Chargers came back to get their first victory.... OBJ Came down with a vicious injury. Not looking good (Possible fractured ankle)
Baltimore with an easy W over the Raiders on the road. Much needed for them to stay in the hunt for the AFC North.
Goff and the LA Rams with their turnovers is the reason they lost by 6. Seattle could not get much on the ground (weak O-Line), but enough effort to get the W.
Dallas and GB had a ton of lead changes. Dallas got the running game going in the 2nd half, but Rodgers works his magic. This guy is INCREDIBLE

Watson = a TD Machine, Hope you fellas got him on your fantasy team.

Picked him up for a bye fill in for Breeze. He pretty much won my matchup for me. Well him + Melvin Gordon.

Sucks for Watt, man. I hate seeing him go down with injuries like that.

And they lost mercuiles (Spelling??) their linebacker. That defense is hurting right now. Surprised they were in a fight with KC, Watson is really looking sharp. I wonder if he will continue to play well the rest of the season. He has some great receivers to throw to.

And they released CJ2K to make room for him....looks like theyre handing him the keys sooner rather than later.

Cardinals trade for Adrian Peterson, cut Chris Johnson

personally do not like the trade AP has not produced anything lately....Even on the saints offense which is one of the best in the league they can barley get any ground game going.

Neither has CJ2K, but I would be willing to bet AP has more in the tank than Johnson at this point in their respective careers.

Not sure why the Saints even traded for him because he wasn't a great fit for their offense.

Saints never traded for him...he was a free agent.
I think AP def has more left in the tank than 2k, too.

Actually Ingram and Kamara are doing great with the ground game in New Orleans, it was Peterson who wasn't getting it. He has 27 carries for 81 yards, and 2 catches for 4 yards. And his only significant amount of yards came during the Carolina game in garbage time. Just saying

Thing that hurts AP is his inability to be useful on passing downs. This makes it hard for him to be a true 3 down back in the current state of the league. Luckily, they might be able to play him and Ellington on same plays, moving Ellington to more of an ace-back role on certain plays (think a slot rb). This would keep confusion on 3rd downs rather than know 'oh Ellington is in its a pass' etc.

Also, AP is a guy who needs 12-15 carries a game to have any significance. He will get that in Arizona. No reason for the saints to give him that.
He will try and ware defenses out and then eventually bust a long run. Think Kareem hunt the other night versus Houston.

Ingram - 170 total rushing yards through 4 games
Kamara - 83 Yards
Peterson - 81 yards

If Karama is doing great then AP is considering doing "Great" For a 2 yard difference. NO is year in and year out one of the best offenses in the NFL. It is clear they are struggling in the run game. AP Is past his peak, sure picking him up in AZ may be a great decoy in the backfield. I do not think we will see him break 1,000 yards in the season or have very many 1,000 yard seasons's left in his tank.

Ingram will have another 1,000 yd rushing season along with another 400 receiving, and Kamara will have almost 1,000 receiving and 600 rushing at least. Mark my words. And by the way. Its 4 games. They were on bye this week.

You have to look at YPC and receiving yards. There you will find the difference between Kamara's and AP's seasons (especially receiving, I dont know their exact ypcs).

I think AP has always been someone who has to get into the flow of the game. He will do better with a consistent workload and being "the guy" imo. He has averaged just over 5 carries per game, I personally think that has a lot to do with it.

When AP is in the backfield. Defense's will stack the box. More then likely they want to run the ball and that is what AP is in for. As you can tell they don't throw to him often or at all (2 total catches the entire season). Where Kamara is more of a dual threat. hence why he has a lot more receiving yards/catches then AP Does. You don't see AP getting a lot of screens or swing passes in the games anymore. Possibly due to the knee injury and that is one play that can leave a RB out for the season if they get chopped in the knees while trying to go up and catch the ball without seeing a DB Coming.

The Cardinals like to run the ball, we saw what they did last year and how dominant they were on the ground game which gave them so much play action potential. This is my guess on why they want AP to get back to that way of football. Do I think AP Can do it? Probably not. I think he is past his peak. Since the knee injury it has been a struggle for him. Kind of reminds me of RG3 after his massive knee injury. He was just never the same.

Defenses have "stacked the box" AP's entire career...he has never been a dual threat RB..torn ACL, comes back and rushes for 2k...incident with his son, misses entire year, comes back and leads the league in rushing in 2015...you're counting the wrong guy out.

He has not produced in New Orleans with one of the best offenses in the league. Maybe Arizona will be the better fit then New Orleans, we will soon find out. There were countless of other backs who out rushed him last year. We will see where he falls come the end of the year.

If there is any player deserving of benefit of the doubt, it's AP, for reasons previously stated...he may fall off a cliff, but until that happens, I won't bet against him.

and AP was on IR last year...not sure where you're getting your information from.

The Saints' Offense is defined by #9...they have always been a bottom half team or worse in terms of rushing numbers and have only produced 1 1,000 yard rusher (Ingram 2016) since 2006...

Exactly my point, They wanted to change the run game and went out and got AP. Did it change? Not really. Do I think he will magically turn around Arizona after they lost their leading back? Possibly, but again time will tell. If you have A QB who can put up 4,000 yards year in and year out you can easily flank out AP, throw him screens, or a few quick dig's/out's to get him the ball and let him run loose in open field. Once AP gets in the open field then that is when defense's start to get shredded. Most times he will be lined up vs a linebacker. 8/10 times he will outrun that person or jump over them for a ball.

Throw a wheel up the sidelines in man coverage and I can bet you he would smoke the LB matched up with him. He can still run, he is still athletic, but as he does age we truly wonder how many more years AP Does have. Those hits do take a toll not the mention the surgery on the knee.

you must have never watched AP play at all, if you think he's going to line up and run wheel routes...the guy has gone over 300 yds receiving only 2 times in his entire career.

no offense, but all you do is paint vague "one size fits all" descriptions without taking into account specific strengths and weaknesses...NO didn't want to go out and change their approach, they prematurely signed a guy who is built for 3 downs, and utilized him incorrectly; lining him up closer to the LOS, putting him in "I" formations, or with a lead back, rotating him in and out, etc...

I just stated they had their best single rusher (single season) in over a decade...and even he only totaled under 1,100 yd rushing....that should indicate that their entire scheme wouldn't benefit AP....the only time Brees had a legitimate #1, was in 04-05, and both of those seasons he threw for under 3,600 yds...Brees now IS the offense...that was never going to change just because they added AP. It also doesn't factor into your description of any of NO's previous Offensive success and it's correlation to AP's poor numbers.

...ALL RBs do well in space, ALL Defenses "stack the box" when trying to remove an O's ground game, ALL Offenses utilize check downs into their QBs progressions. Any and all success is built solely on the roster and their talent levels in relation to their execution.

In an overwhelming majority of your posts you continued to explain how you felt like NO's offense is elite (I agree).

We can also agree that they used him incorrectly....but New Orleans being a Top 10 Offense is irrelevant in terms of his success, or lack thereof.

How I rolled into shift, after waking up after only 4 hrs of sleep in order to watch the game beforehand.

Even with all of those turnovers, Carolina had so many chances to win. Great matchup of two possible/probable playoff teams.

From the start of the game Carolina never got a push on their D-Line. Philly's D-Line totally dominated them up front. Even when they did hand it off or run a lot of sweeps Philly's contain was super fast to swarm carolina.
Not sure how they have been other weeks, but Philly does have the #2 ranked run defense, so I wouldn't expect anyone to do too much running the ball against them.

Yeah, that is part of that whole "#2 ranked rushing defense" thing I mentioned.

Officiating in that game was god awful too (that crew has done a miserable job officiating Eagles games in the past few seasons).

It is going to be a lot tougher for Dak without Zeke to lean on. They are already struggling this season, and, unless Morris and McFadden really step up, I don't see them making the playoffs without Zeke. I honestly think there is a real likelihood that they go 2-4 (maybe even 1-5 if LAC can learn to finish games) over this stretch of the season. It is a tough set of games, even with Zeke, (Skins, Chiefs, Eagles, Falcons) and Dak hasn't really been "great" when the run game has stalled.

Also, without teams stacking the box for Zeke, he will probably have more trouble finding Bryant and Witten open across the field.

I just really don't think they can come out of this stretch with any kind of playoff shot without Zeke.

Hope youre right Jim. Screw the Cowboys. I wonder where that one guy from last season went not so obnoxious now are we...
