That's what I was thinking too. I'm a Big Ten guy though and come bowl season I root for all Big Ten teams, so I'll be pulling for your boys plenny.

Even Michigan? Well I guess that doesn't apply to this year because they aren't going bowling. Which I love. The hatred of Michigan is still ingrained in my soul.

but LSU hasnt played a defense like penn state's either. As for the Iowa dig..their defense didnt beat us...we lost because we kept putting the ball on the ground.

As difficult as it is I even root for Michigan during bowl season.

Yeah, LSU played both alabama and florida this year so they have faced tough defenses.

I am looking for the SEC to sweep this year, even Auburn, who I hate to root for but I will take Auburn over any other team outside the SEC any day of the week. The only exception is VT, which I have been a fan of for some years now....

I am interested in seeing Ostate get pulled to the woodshed, only because my buddy at work is from Ohio and talks about how they can take bama to the woodshed on any day...

I am interested in Seeing USC get taken to the river and drowned....

I'll love watching nebraska and arizona play...that guy on nebraska has impressed me by last weeks game..

Even troy got in...I'll be watching that for personal reasons seeing as I have a two cousins that play on the team

It'll be hard to root for Tenn over VT but, it's SEC baby, so I gotta pull for them.

I am hoping that A&M and GA is a great game...
 
TCU and BOISE is going to be crucial. I think the winner will start the season ranked pretty high next year.

listen rubbering.... I mean hardknock, Ohio State is not getting taken to any proverbial woodshed this year. Ohio State will end our 3 year losing streak and up our BCS bowl record(most appearances by the way) to 5-3.

Easy there, killer. As big of a proponent of the SEC as I am, I think the likelihood of them going 10-0 in bowl games is a little irrational. In fact, I think 7-3 (or even 6-4) would be pretty impressive.
 
It is easily possible for them to sweep this year, or at least, go 8-2.

Here's the deal: I know she can book a single room for me for Jan. 6/7. Whether or not she can book multiple rooms is something she won't know until Mon. or Tues, when the managers of those two properties are back from their annual conference in Vegas. I speculate that both hotels are far enough away from the stadium to not be extremely impacted... but I can't say for sure. My sister and at least one friend from Mobile, AL are flying out for the game as well.

As soon as she knows early next week, I'll let you know.

I take it you have never been to Eugene for a game. Like i said we would own them. They have done decibel readings and it gets up to 120+ come game time. Every game is sold out and once Uncle Phil gets done with our Baseball field and Basketball court then it will be time for another add on to Autzen.

I just saw that show TMZ and they ambushed Tebow in a hotel in NYC and were asking him questions about "girlfriends" and his "favorite bible verse" like they were really interested, while obviously being tongue & cheek and laughing at him behind his back.

I think it is tiring. The 3 knucklehead players that committed armed robbery at Tennessee get more sympathy from people than Tebow. But, somehow, that just makes so much sense in this country today.

Let's keep on cuttin' on him - maybe we can beat his faith right out of him.

If you arent familiar with Texas A&M, you dont know just how loud it gets. If you arent familiar with Death Valley, you dont know just how loud it gets. Much tougher places to play. Theyve been loud since before either of us were alive. Autzen is built into the ground and the design of the stadium keeps noise in. Im sure youve heard the infamous earthquake story. Also, during the October 6, 2007 game LSU-Florida, CBS recorded 129.8 decibels.

Hey, I just read today that Ticketmaster will only have 2,000 tickets available on the 15th, and they expect to sell out within minutes. Dude, I hope I don't have to pay a small fortune just to get into the stadium. :grumpy:

I would hope that if he can do what he has done with the talent at other schools, he can surely win with what talent we could get, if he gets the right people to handle the main problem (defense), and someone who knows about nationwide recruiting, not just regional, we will fare just fine. We shall see, and as with Weis, I'm not sold yet. He's got his work cut out, everyone knows it.

Anybody see the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary on The U last night?

I missed it - was at a work holiday party.

Just seeing some of the commentary has me really really pumped. The LSU board has this 30 page thread on it - how they loved it.

It's a Canes thing!!!

i caught it. it was good there was a lot of behind the scenes stuff in there, def a must see for a canes fan so make sure you catch one of the reruns.

lol at the little clip of highsmith, those teams def had a lot of swagger/c0ckiness but they backed it up on the field.
