Hi all,
First post. Been lurking and reading and... thanks!

20 year old male. Been on Ritalin (methylphenidate) since 6 or 7 years old (13-14 years). Was feeling anxious, tired, etc so got a hormone panel done and heres what we got:

BIG NOTE: He handed me transderm T mixture below and told me to be on my way. I did a little more research and said 'Hey, lets test for FSH and LH levels' He agreed and now Im still waiting for those test results. Here is what he prescribed me BEFORE getting the FSH/LH levels back (I am not on this mixture now! I simply filled the prescription but were waiting for FSH/LH results, first.):

Prescribed Daily Regimine (Treatment):
Testosterone - 5mg
Chrysin - 20mg
Progesterone - 5mg
DHEA - 5mg

Depending on the FSH/LH test results, we would either use HCG or above mixture. Above mixture was initially prescribed but NOT used.

Plus I'm receiving treatment for Adrenal Fatigue (taking IsoCort and mixture that includes vitamins and adaptogens Rhodiola and Magnolia Bark).

Feedback? What does this mean for me? For life? Is that a good mixture?
Am I gonna have jelly beans for gonads?
This kind of sucks having to worry about this at only 20...

THANKS.

This will help you !!

Question....What ethnic back round are you?

Ritalin is Amphetamine!!!!

Ritalin is Amphetamine!!!!

This I know ;) Hence, (much overdue) treatment for adrenal fatigue.

EDIT: By the way... Im receiving professional treatment for adrenal fatigue. I dont need to self-supplement and try to correct this on my own. Adrenal fatigue is covered, in my book.
Im mainly trying to find out more on the hormonal aspect to this and what it means.

Thanks for your replies so far. :)

Care to elaborate why?

I know you are a board rep and Ill but Im highly highly critical of 'supplements'. I think they are 99% advertising and 1% legitimacy.
Reset AD was made to cleanse the adrenal glands....Do a search on it, and you will see it helps MANY people with stimulant issues related to adrenal fatigue.

Supposed to be good when it comes to stimulant tolerance. Caffeine and Ephedrine do very little for me so I'll give a bottle a go and see what happens. Thanks TripDog :)

Ritalin is a stimulant but it is not amphetamine. Ritalin is methylphenidate. It is a racemic mixture of the levo and dextro form. Focalin is the dextro form of methylphenidate. Adderall is a mixture of d and l amphetamine salts. Dexedrine is dextroamphetamine. Desoxyn is methamphetamine hcl.

Yes, yes. I am very familiar with the mechanism of actions of medicines. Where I am not familiar is things relating to hormones. Even then, Im still forming a basic understanding of testosterone.

Does anyone have any specific recommendations for this situation?

I've been taking stimulants since 1991 for my ADD. I took Dexedrine for about 10 years and Adderall since. I feel shitty lately hence joining here.
Is there a correlation with long term stimulant usage and adrenals and hormones getting screwed up?

Haha brother... this is THE indication of adrenal fatigue.

Just living a high-stress lifestyle is enough for adrenal fatigue. Drinking coffee can cause adrenal fatigue. Taking chemicals that are chemically similar to cocaine daily for years and years? You bet your gonna have adrenal fatigue.

Dont hijack my thread but, yes, you should make a post if you want to find out more info about adrenal fatigue. Or PM me.

:)

Ahh... I would love to but, due to money issues right now (and time issues), I probably couldnt pull it off.

Doubt insurance would cover, unfortunately :(

Is the above data not enough to make an assumption with some degree of confidence?
Also, if I make any wrong moves now with treatment (something that your common, uninformed patient might make) would I cause any permanent damage that couldnt be reversed? (Just incase I am able to get those tests at a later time? .... Sterility pops into my head)

Why do not you wait with any action until you are able to do it right.
It is diffucult enough and not always possible, when done right.
You practically have no chance at treating your self with out testing.
To many variables.

How can I order these tests? Is this ALL of the tests you recommend in my position?

If I proceed with treatment without the tests, can I do any permanent damage?

Here she is. The original tests posted in the OP have been rescanned at a better quality and Im just posting them here for posterity:

Well there it is. My 20 year old, screwed up hormone profile. Suggestions at this stage?

Right now my anti-aging/compounding pharmacist recommended me to a more knowledgeable endocrinologist who is familiar with TRT w/ HCG protocol so I am meeting with him Sat to determine a treatment. My idea, right now, is to shoot for t-cream and HCG and keep an eye on DHT levels to make sure Im not going to start losing any hair (dad has natural Pattern Male Baldness, mother nor mothers parents did NOT have any problems).

EDIT - If it means anything, I am 20 but have a VERY young looking face. I often get mistaken for 14-16. Also, when I was younger, I received a few rounds of injection of growth hormone I believe based on bone density testing and the fact that I wasnt hitting puberty yet (and short). I think that all cleared up and may be a result of my taking Ritalin many years pre-pubescently and am still, today, taking it.

You have a moderate level of adrenal fatigue based on your lab test. I'm recovering from adrenal fatigue. call me at 704-779-0832 and I will tell you exactly what to do.

^ Kind of a strange first post

Bumping a 1 yr old thread and asking this person to call a complete stranger from the internets? Do you have candy too?

First of all this dr who ever is treating you does not know what the hell he is doing. funny that you have a twin brother on here that is going through the same thing HAHA. I hope this person is not the same person I think it is because it will result in termination.
