2-days out from first contest

A couple of pics taken 2-days from first competition4/9/05. I placed 2nd in Masters(out of 7) and 2nd in open middleweight(out of 11). Of course I wanted a 1st place trophy, but the guys that beat me deserved the win. The competition was the Kalamazoo in Michigan. I competed again on 4/23/05 at the Capital City contest in Lansing MI. The same guys that beat me in Kazoo were here too! I earned 2 more 2nd place trophies.

The avitar pic was taken just before prep when I weighed in at 212. The arms were just over 18". Im 5'9" and weighed 174 for the first contest and 172(and alittle sharper) at the second contest. I lost too much muscle cutting! Next time I will do better.

Sorry for the poor quality pics. I wanted to have have some better pics of the contest but every pic my wife took really sucks. I have a clip of the 60 second morning routine and Im trying to set that up with a link.

Yep, I lost too much muscle. I almost gave up about 3-4 weeks out because I missed the mark by so much. But, Im glad I didn't. I learned a lot about prep and competing. Next year I will do it right with proper guidance.
