Next time you have to go back to the lab on leg day get your presses and curls in. You can always do walking lunges at the lab. You might look like an ass but eh, who cares.

I can allllllmost top that. There used to be this long haired heavy metal looking guy who walked around with his head phones. Fine so far. He always walked around on his tippy toes, but that's not the weird part.

After he finished his sets, he would air guitar in combination with head banging.

He would also air guitar and head bang pre-set to get himself hyped up (I assume).

Then as he walked around the gym, he was viable to break into random air guitaring.

He would air guitar, get up on his toes for what I assume were high rifts and even drop to his knees for what I assume was a lead solo. It was the weirdest thing. Everybody just watched as if he were the town drunkard.

CHEST, BIS&TRIS

Holy crap, I’m hitting bis and tris again ?!!! :fool2:,and they are probably still in shock from last week’s double session :eek: (days 72&74). In my book bis and tris are trained once a fortnight :lol: It was an amazingly satisfactory session. Didn’t pull any spectacular PRs but rep increase was significant (after all, I am now training for hyperthrophy right :D). I’m officially in WAR AGAINST MY CHICKEN ARMS Invalid Link Removed

*Not so much of a hyperthrophy routine this time, ‘cause I was curious to evaluate what state my back was in,
since I FINALLY let it recover from over 2- weeks of bashing :D

*Well, weight went up in ALL exercises other than the deadlift :woohoo: I wasn’t worried about not setting another DEAD PR ‘cause that wasn’t my intention, if it were, I would have done Deads as a first exercise (as I normally do), not last. Still, I was only 10lb below my current PR which I thought was great, not only because of the order in which the exercises had been performed and the fact that my back was already experiencing some soreness, but also because I felt quite rundown the whole session Invalid Link Removed :frustrate. Yeah, I haven’t been sleeping much of late and yeah, I should have NOT gone to train in the state I was Invalid Link Removed BUT:

1) work loads are not going to get ANY easier in future Invalid Link Removed and so…

2) it is unlikely that I’ll be able to increase my sleeping hours Invalid Link Removed

3) I’ve increased cardio and decreased carbs, unless I lift on a regular basis, the body is going to take it as a sign to get rid of muscles (I know that much from experience)

So, my take on things is : THE BODY SIMPLY HAS TO ADDAPT :GRRRR!!!!!​

*To prevent going into catabolism and succumbing to debilitating fatigue :nono: Invalid Link Removed I intend to:

1) Switch to almost pure hyperthropy (I’ll throw in some low-rep workouts on a sporadic basis, ONLY to evaluate strength gains/losses)

2) On a first sign of strength loss – take longer time off&decrease cardio

3) Save the hardest workouts (back&legs) for weekends, when I can get more rest (I still have to work both Sat&Sun, ‘cause I can’t leave my experimental animals unattended, not even for A DAY, not even for Christmas and New Year :aargh: :frustrate but I don’t need to start at crack of dawn)



DAY82


*THE SOREST part of my body after yesterday’s back workout: ABS :wtf:

….after a bit of :think: I found the culprit : Narrow grip pulldown on stability disc (I’ve explained this before, you sit on a stability disc without knee support)

*On my heaviest sets I was pulling 130lbs which is a tad over my BW, to keep my a$$ on the disc (instead of going up and hanging in the air :p), as I was pulling, I had to contract my abs soooo hard that my eyes almost popped out of their sockets Invalid Link Removed :lol:

*AWESOME :D Forget about crunches for abs, just do pulldowns without knee support and see if you can “stay put” ;)

But all in all you have some nice delt separation. Do some front raises and get those cannon balls that I have been lusting over for myself for years!!! damn genetics

You have some great looking delt separation there, DF. It looks like you've worked them pretty hard through various PLs and Lateral exercises. Like Adams said, if you add in some more movements involving the front delts, I'm ceratin that you will get a much more round appearance and add a completely new dimension to them.

Your arms look great. I still don't know what in the heck you are talking about when you say you have chicken arms, not to mention the fact that chickens have wings...:think: :D Regardless, I hope the higher rep-range will bring you the growth you desire.

I looked at TOO many photos of guys arms here at AM so my perception of what is big and what is not is somewhat skewed :p

Will hit the fronts in the higher rep range, also (and that applies to all muscle groups), I'll be doing isolation movements prior to compunds rather then the other way around (which is what I've been doing so far). :cheers: to everyone for your suggestions and constructive criticism, that is the only thing that will kick my STUBORN a$$ into making some CHANGES :D

LEGS (2nd workout this week)

3. Unilateral Leg Press 4 sets
4. DB lunges 4 sets
5. Box Jumps 3 sets (run out of fuel :frustrate)
80% max, 12 reps, GM and Leg Presses were hard, my muscles just DID not want to go beyond 10reps but "we" made them (myself and the Invalid Link Removed in me)

believe me you can post all the pics you want and I doubt youll hear a complaint, lol.

Yes in many of the shots it looks as though you do have a nice undercut on the glutes, def no fat that I can see on that though... you must be lookin at it at an awkward angle when you see that.... lol.

photos, 3 4 and 8 all show nice definition and a muscular backside, keep up the good work n your butt might get as big as mine, LOL

I really like picture 2. It shows off your arms/delts real well, as well as some very tight abs. I can definitely see some added muscle. Your triceps seem more full than before. And honestly, I really don't see where you would be holding fat on your glutes. You have some great shape to them. A good undercut. Definitely more shape than you did in the last photos. You are doing a great job, DF! I can see you're working hard. It's paying off! You look so feminine yet you carry with it such a strong appearance and persona. Very rare, indeed.

And no kidding about days 130-150! I can only imagine what DF will look like in another 1.5-2months of serious hypertrophy! :clap2:

I think my body got the idea that it HAS to adapt to the current regime of somewhat diminished rest 'cause it is not going to happen the other way around for some time.

I haven't had a proper re-charge of batteries Invalid Link Removed in over 2-weeks now yet I'm not getting progressively run down as I had feared.
If anything, things are improving :woohoo: On that note, sleep quality has been great Invalid Link Removed, thanks to PWFULL :)
Last week I had 5 resistance sessions (instead of 4), and a harder-than-normal cardio session. The intensity of the sessions wasn't as phenomenal but it was far from garbage :lol: Seriously, I don't think I had one "wasted" session.

Today I was quite mind-blown by my training performance.



DAY 85


Traded my 1.30min cycling session for a 1hr running session. It was really weird I felt like running because I had less than 6hrs of sleep last night :eek: and feared, upon waking up, that I'd struggle just to get through the day Invalid Link Removed

I only started running as of last week when I did one 25 min session.
I haven't done any long distance running in over 6 months (back then it was a routine of 2-3x/week).
Yet today I just HAMMERED it as if I had never gone out of the habit :confused:
Weirdest of all, I found it disturbingly relaxing :fool2:

The session was over 4hrs ago and I'm still Invalid Link Removed

I haven’t been posting my updates of late is ‘cause I was too busy training for hyperthrophy, ya know, low rep, HIGH VOLUME ;)
Seriously, I’m really enjoying my new routine and I find it very hard to stick to “only 4x/week” schedule :fool2: :lol:

Lucky for me, it appears as though the Gods have decided to intervene to prevent me from overtraining : today my exercise plans have been foiled due to torrential rain ! I was supposed to have a session with our gym manager but he called me early this morning to tell me that the gym would be shut today ‘cause of flooding….aaah, the joys of living in the tropics ! Hope this doesn’t become a long-term problems ‘cause I’ll be hating “the Gods” :lol:


DAY 86

BACK&SHOULDERS

Supersets
1. Deads + 2. Military Press; 6 sets
3. Lat Raises + 4 Lat Pulldowns; 4 sets
5. Front raises + 6 Front Rows; 4 sets​
I decided on doing supersets ‘cause I didn’t have much time on my hands (yeah, always a good excuse :D)

I was doing 10 reps in most cases because normally, on these exercises when training heavy, I never go over 6 reps. Couple that with a superset routine + minimal rest time between sets, and I had quite a taxing workout (at least it felt that way :eek:). I was surprised by the fact that I could actually pull out decent weight at the desired rep number. In some instances I was barely below my PRs (like the Military and the Raises) :woohoo:

I find the hyperthrophy routine much harder than the strength routine simply because my brain switches off and it feels as if though it refuses to send motor signals pass the 6th rep. At the same time, this particular aspect of training gets me even more motivated :aargh: :smite: ... or maybe it is because I "accidentally" swallowed 4PWFULL instead of 3 Invalid Link Removed



DAY87

Another long distance running session, went 15 min longer than 2 days ago, total time 1hr15min. LOOOOVING IT !!!!! Invalid Link Removed



DAY 88

CHEST, BIS & TRIS

No supersets this time, decided to really crank up the reps and to go no lower than 12, preferably 15 :smite: The bench nearly killed me :lol: Thank God there are no mirrors on the ceiling ‘cause I’m sure I was pulling some horrific grimaces Invalid Link Removed trying to get that bstard bar up to 12 (as if that ever helped :lol:). I attracted some most unwanted attention from a few boys who wanted to “help the damsel in distress”, I NEARLY screamed at one guy Invalid Link Removed: Don’t you DARE to touch that bar !!!! Invalid Link Removed I’ll either make it or break it, GRRR!!!!

After ^^, bis and tris were an easy deal. The pump was great :D
