No New Flash until April 25th
 
There was an actual character called Savitar in the comics but he is not the same in the show. Almost more like godspeed from the comics, Savitar was an extremely short lived character in the comics. I'm interested to find out. The last few seasons the last 3 to 4 episodes are where things pick up significantly it seems.
 
I'd like to see Xoom vs savitor .. screw flash

They recently rebooted him for the New 52. His whole back story was weird

A Cold War pilot for a third-world nation, the man who would become known as Savitar was to test a supersonic fighter jet. As he reached top speed, his plane was struck by what appeared to be lightning, and he went down in hostile territory. Discovering he could defeat the enemy by moving at super-speed, he became obsessed with it, naming himself after Savitr, the Hindu "god of motion", and dedicating his life to unlocking its secrets. As Savitar studied, he discovered new powers that no other living speedster has mastered. He can protect himself in a null-inertia force field, give speed and kinetic energy to objects or people, even those in a "rest state", and he could also heal his own injuries almost instantly.

Savitar’s obsession gained followers, and he became the leader of a cult. In search of more knowledge, he sought out the only super-speed hero operating at the time: Johnny Quick. This encounter became a battle, the tide of which was turned with the arrival of Max Mercury, who led Savitar toward the Speed Force, but caused him to bounce off, both speedsters being thrown forward in time (Flash: Dead Heat; Flash vol. 2 #109). Emerging from the timestream before Savitar, Max Mercury became a mentor to the various members of the Flash family and other speedsters, secretly preparing them against the day Savitar would exit the timestream.

Reappearing decades later, Savitar found that his cult had grown in his absence, awaiting his return. He recruited former Blue Trinity member Lady Flash (Christina Alexandrova), and discovered a way to use her speed to divert all energy from the Speed Force to his own army of ninjas. He then sought to eliminate the competition: Flash (Wally West), Impulse, Golden Age Flash (Jay Garrick), Johnny Quick, Jesse Quick, XS, and especially, Max Mercury.

Fortunately, Wally’s direct line to the Speed Force prevented Savitar from stealing his speed, and a coalition of just about every speedster (except for Red Trinity) foiled his plans. Hell-bent on at least destroying the Flash’s world in retribution, he led him on a worldwide race of destruction, until Flash chose to give Savitar what he wanted: union with the Speed Force. His earlier encounter had shown him that the others who had arrived before would deal with Savitar as they saw fit.

In The Flash Rebirth mini-series, Savitar was able to escape from the Speed Force. He was run down by the recently returned to life Barry Allen; however, when Barry touches him, Savitar disintegrates, leaving only a pile of bones. It is revealed that Professor Zoom altered the Speed Force and Barry to make the Flash shift in reverse, cursed to kill every Speed Force user with a single touch, though it seemed to be undone by the defeat of Professor Zoom during the conflict between the two speedsters. Thus far, Savitar, Lady Flash (Lady Savitar at the time) and Johnny Quick have been killed by this effect.

Definitely need to get more up to date on DC after the new 52. Heard they have nerfed flash so far and made him slower than superman which is bs. Really into Injustice right now which is an amazing story for anyone who is remotely into DC.

Actually in most examples Superman is faster. There is in the silver age a comic when the flash rants that Superman lets him win to protect the flashes ego but I would benefit both to know who was faster.
 
Flash is faster on foot than supes but its argued that supes is faster in flight. The flash character would be pointless if he wasnt faster than all. Even superman. On foot that is. Thats his ability. You cant take that away from the dude lol.
 
First and formost. I hate Superman. Little prick. I remember reading the Savitar profile. Wasn't Barry the black Flash for a while as well?

That's always been up for debate and has gone back and forth quite often as far as depending on the comic period. In Injustice Wonder Woman beats Superman and it basically comes down to the fact that WW is a more skilled fighter than Superman and has been trained her whole life for combat.
 
There are so many issues and iterations of the flash. Hes either slower or faster. Depends on the writer/s

The real argument is whos faster, Barry Allen or wally west...?

Even though I like Barry better Wally is faster. Barry as the black racer is the most powerful form of the flash IMO.

I'm talking raw superpowers and not even skills in the new 52 ww is all of a sudden insanely over powered and I blame this women propaganda bull.
 
Yeah exactly. Before wally showed up barry was a god.

Now they dumb him down so much. He's the REASON for the speedforce lol. You can't just do that to the guy. Lol.
 
Superman is faster. That's EXACTLY why I hate him. He renders most other DC heroes useless. What's the point.

I am not the biggest Superman fan but have always believed he was more powerful than WW. As far as the flash vs superman speed on foot Flash has far more impressive feats and has ran faster than superman has. Not gonna argue flash running speed vs superman flying or in outer space as i know Superman has ridiculous speed feats in space. Also have no idea about very recent comic book feats.

There are quite a few who can take him. Manhattan, Silver Surfer etc, but what about Green Lantern? Batman? Aquaman? etc etc. No point with Supes around is there?

Green lantern could early on when they could conjure kryptonite with their rings, but your average green lantern could not. Kyle Rainer as a white lantern probably could. I know batman fanboys will say he can but honestly morals off batman really doesn't stand a chance IMO. Aquaman's trident can harm Superman but still would give the win to Superman. Doctor Fate is another who would murder superman.

Exactly. Like Green Lantern is supposedly the defender of the earth? for what? Like I said most cosmic beings will waste supes, but as far as just "normal" heros.. No point.

There definitely are some that can beat Superman or would at least put up a good fight. Wonder woman, flash, captain atom, aquaman, shazam, martian man hunter, supergirl, lobo(although not technically a hero), plus more that I'm sure I can't think of and others could. A lot depend on the situation, author, time period, etc., but without a doubt superman is one of the most powerful non cosmic heroes.

Superman would curb stomp the flash and Aquaman. I fuking hate Superman though. Also aqauman is pointless out side of earth or even it he is away from water to long
 
Well he was technically one of the first superheroes to be created. There after everyone else was. Just taking attributes from him etc.
 
Sentry is usually thrown around when comparing. But yeah Mr Marvel can definitely be thrown in there too.

My ULTIMATE combo if i had it my way would be a version of wolverine that could teleport.

If we're picking powers or heros powers the ultimate combo would be the flash and Batman no doubt give Batman the speedforce and all its benefits (think at the speed of light, insane memory, learning again at the speed of light, super speed, super healing, and insane long life, being able to see outcome before they happen (yes Barry can do this without time traveling)) ya Batman fuks them all with the speedforce
 
Yeah. Being fast like the flash is like teleportation. Thats why those 2 are my faves. In the comics barry went so fast he ended up being faster than instantaneous. Which is faster than teleportation. Thats fast. Barry is so fast there isnt a word to describe his speed. But again, depends on whos writing the comic lol.
