Injured myself a week after that, been slowly rebuilding.
Best lifts from last week:
paused 345lbs close grip bench press
beltless dealift, 8x465lbs. I’d say it was RPE5
one hand Deadlift...
Now if I hit 180 and was not like pretty close to contest ready I would be shocked. I am thinking 183-187 to be very lean. I could be wrong but we will see. I think around 190 would be very good...
when it rains, it pours! we've all been in both situations. the worst is when you pound a preWO heavy in beta alanine, get the gym and realize you don't have shoes lol!! I like your efforts to...
well you hit the nail on the head with the lazy comment. I love him, but unless I poke him and say lets go every day at lunch, he will miss full weeks of lifting. most of his PRs came at times...
I watched a guy once open at 565. He was a 220 wraps guy, and I don’t know if he took a single warmup in the back. Maybe 495 for a single that I missed. Every time I saw him he was just sitting...
no he's competed a fair bit out here, not as much as me overall in barbell sports, but more than me specifically with like PL or Oly meets. He was a disciple of Rippetoe for a long time and even...
Honestly man that’s a good-looking singlet and appropriately sized. Where else would the straps really go/stay? If they were placed moreso just on the traps, they will just slide down the angle...
Has he competed before, or is he talking out his ass? That is a HUGE jump, and the CNS might not be ready for it. He might hit his rep, but it could take more out of him than his 2nd attempt would...
I was basically searching for all mentions of BBS on the book you sent me and generally it seems like a 10x5 approach on boring but strong could either be at 70% all three weeks, or run as FSL...
You could use Spotos for Boring But Strong after your primary bench.
Then to help pick up a tad more volume, which does seem to force the bench well, do one AMRAP (regular or closegrip) touch n...
Eric Spoto (who was an ATWR raw benchpresser, arm wrestler and gym rat with generally enormous arms), famously trained all of his bench press coming down to within an inch or so of his chest.
Now...
When it gets cold enough I will keep them and a fur buyer comes around and just buys them whole. I used to skin all of them out and sell or tan them. I might pick that up down the road again...
A little frustrated with myself, I forgot I took my shoes out of my bag for my workout yesterday, and went to go to the gym at lunch for my core class and tada no shoes. Of course I am in my dress...
Definitely enjoying every minute of it man!
it’s very surreal to me I mean this year I’ll be 40 and he will be 73. He is in great shape and very active but at times it hits me with him and mom...
I'm loving watching you and @Smont right now moving this way. I'm not going to go on a big cut and slow down my 531 progress any time soon, but maybe I'll make a couple small adjustments here and...
Once you get your lipids where you want them how long do you want to hang out in a good range before starting to climb back up? IE pushing food and gear up.
this thread almost made me want to go on a cut. but then I remembered that my feet didn't hurt last night walking around the house in my socks and cardio would suck.
aint that funny? and I'd probably be another 10lbs lower. When you see a ton of enhanced guys having to chase 180 to hit 10% or lower it really puts the big dogs like heath, cutler and coleman...
Sounds like a hell of a plan. I have a feeling I will have to be in the 180's now to get into the single digits, but I honestly don't know. I also don't think I am going to go down that far unless...
My next cycle will start with me lean, pain free and I should also be highly responsive to the addition of drugs and changes back to hypertrophy focused training.
I'm hoping to use primo and avoid EQ mainly because I've used it so much in the past year or two, but also at the same time if I get my blood work, and hematocrit is good and kidney function...
Right now I don't have many complaints on the diet at all. I haven't even really tried to get remotely fancy. Just the basics for right now because I haven't felt like putting extra effort into...
185 for sure. You have already knocked 3 reps out on it. Don't start so low you are afraid of the next jump. Plus you want it to feel a little heavy to prime for the next attempt.
