motive

Active member
ive heard of some crazy pet peeves so lets see what we can come up with here.

list any pet peeve or anything that people do that drives you crazy

i know this will sound stupid but you ever drop something and then try to pick it up but drop it and try and try again!!! i friggin hate that!
also people that smack while they eat! so annoying!

I don't have the repetitive dropping problem, but I can imagine that would be annoying. I don't think I smack when I eat, but I am guilty of being the loudest drink slurper on earth. If someone punched me in the face while I was doing that, I would completely understand.

alexander- your that guy that i always seem to sit in front of in a movie that slurps on his drink during all the quiet scenes! ive wanted to hit that guy many of times

That would definitely be me. The phrase "are you f*cking kidding me" is the usual response I get.

I can't stand people who chew with their mouths open - Gum or Food.

Lazy people...I hate doing other peoples work

The words "I can't"...I don't even allow my children to use these words....you can do anything if you put your mind to it.

People who can't admit when they screw up...be a man, own up to it, learn from it, and move on.

And my personal biggest pet peeve....when I'm inside a house on fire and a rookie firefighter figures it out that "this isn't for him" and wants to leave. Talk about being left holding your d!ck in your hand.

1. Being interrupted while watching football. A loud f-bomb usually comes out of my mouth from frustration.

2. The extreme left wing hippies I work with who lecture me on the dangers of taking protein shakes, the dangers of aspartame, the dangers of George Bush etc. Basically, anyone who gives me a lecture about the dangers of supps or steroids while talking to me as if I'm a crack-head that robs stereos and old ladies for drug money and needs salvation/intervention.

3. Parents who are more immature then their already immature child.

People who act like their version of politics and associated politicians are any different than the next person's.

People who refuse to use turn signals

People who think because they smoke they deserve extra breaks throughout the work day

Automated business lines that make you go through 20 steps before speaking with a real person

I hate people who are intolerant of other races and cultures and those damned Dutch.

Zealots you push their one and only views onto everyone because it's the only way.

Girls who like to say "Like"..... Like I've never like been able to like see someone like intelligent who like talks like this.

Anyone 22yrs of age and older who still uses the term BFF in conversation.

when the number lock on the keyboard is off.
when someone takes credit for something i did.
men that wont man up to something when they obviously did it.
people who critisize something i cook when im cooking it for myself.
nasty toenails.
turn signals, who needs them! lol. jk jay, im with you on that one. Youre waiting to turn and next thing you know jackass turns, like i just wasted 20 seconds of my life waiting for your ass.
a female that expects everything at anytime right then and there.
parents that let their kids act like complete dirtballs.
people that repeat things over and over.

People that answer a question with a question. People that give advice when no asked their opinion. People that believe something is the truth because they saw it on an internet message board.

When somebody asks me a question, then takes my answer and reposes it as their own original thought !

When some body answers a question that no body has asked !

When somebody retorts any post with "name calling" adjectives !

When people use the word "sir" gratuitously!

When people over emphasize the word "actually"

Cell phone culture

People who cannot navigate sidewalks and doorways properly !

People that always complain about what bothers them:think:

People who act like their version of politics and associated politicians are any different than the next person's.

or that their belief system is more important than everything else !

or that it really matters to people who have to work for a living !

or that they have special rights granted by their political views !

or that by telling me, it somehow empowers them !

People who think they deserve special parking spaces

Cops who feel they can speed for the hell of it and get pissed if people don't automatically get out of their way when they aren't on a call.

I'll 2nd that. I was waiting at a red light to make a right hand turn. The intersection is angled strangely, so I don't just automatically make my "free right turn on red" here. People turning left from my right side cut into my lane here. A cop pulled up behind me, no lights, no siren, and he started HONKING at me so I'd turn. A few years ago, I'd have made a scene of it, but I decided not to. I turned and let the a-hole go.

Strange, I recently had the exact same experience. The thing is though it wasn't a cop. It was an man in his 70's. This guy just leaned on his horn.

People who throw cigarette butts or trash out their windows or who leave garbage everywhere

People who complain about their lives but never make a decision to change it

i hate when chad doesnt come to bed until 3 or 4 am because he is online talking to you guys, and he starts to snore and keep me awake when i have to get up at 5 am for work.

People that second guess everything i said or do. (work)

People that don't think rules apply to them.

Big on turn signals too! I have a baby on board dumba$$.
-When you repeat a joke that no one thinks is funny except the person saying it.

-I hate when Chad pee's and dripps on the side of the toliet and refuses to wipe it up ( i sit on the floor to do my makeup in the morning and it smells )
-Not being acknowledged when chad comes home from the gym or work, runs to the computer for AM first.

wow just realized i have alot

I couldn't agree more here.....i can't tell you how many times i've encountered people in my job that expect the world when they don't even speak a lick of english.....our countries national language....foreign countries don't tolerate it and neither should we!!

I hate toilet paper rolls not getting put back on the roller, just sitting on it (my wife)

I hate Lifetime television...

At Christmas or the likes, when I am not even looking for that one parking place in the front, and some d#ck cuts me off, speeds to get it, cusses me, and then when he gets out, I find out he needs to walk the distance anyway.

Drivers that won't leave the left lane...and they trap you behind a slower moving one in front of you. (I get road rage easily on that one)

Driving peeves-

Turn signals

Out of skew headlights

Drivers who ride their brake with nothing in front of them

Drivers who circle right before turning left, as if their rear wheels won't follow the front wheels, or they think their driving an 18- wheeler!

Drivers who tailgate until I pull over to the right lane, then cut in front of me and drive at my speed!!!

Unexpected multi lane changers

New Jersey Only

Drivers who fear the circle

ALL TURNS !

aborigines who still expect an apology from our prime minister for what happened 220 years ago.

 thats my dad! he literally told me that me and kwyck dont get his "blessings" about our engagement/marriage until kwyck gets out of med school. I see his point about supporting the hubby, but its different when your husband's a med. school student, not a manager of mc donalds.

Impolite people drive me nuts...I actually make my children thank their mother every night after dinner. I'll pound good manners into my kids heads one way or another.

Forgot a few, these kind of make me boil inside.

1. When you go out of your way to do someone a FAVOR and they b!tch about the favor you did for them.

2. People who complain about how bad they have when their rich parents buy them houses and Range Rovers.

3. When I pick someone up and they're not ready even though they told me they were.

4. When my neighbor mows his freaking lawn at 7AM on Saturday mornings.

5. People who think they know how to do my job better then me and make unsolicited suggestions all the time

firefighter2032, you've got my vote for whenever you run for office.

Courtesy is the only thing that truly makes us equal in society.

There is no excuse for being impolite. Every time some one is impolite, it is an attempt to dominate the other person.

However, I do allow ignorance as an excuse, but only the first time!

whoa, gotta step in on that one. How many kids do you have? Taking care of kids is ALOT harder than you think. I did it by myself while Chad was still in service. You get no sleep, you have to feed, clean, take care of them in every way possible to keep them happy and hardly have any time for yourself. I always told Chad it was hard work and he had that same mindset, but when I went back to work and he was the stay at home dad, he was quick to say it wasnt as easy as he thought or said. so sorry, i think thats total bull ****

everyone is entitled to their own opinion. i dont have any children and never want any (don't say its because im young and i'll change my mind either). I love kids, i just dont want any of my own.

i grew up in a household where my dad worked his ass off to be a dentist, and my mother (great mom, LOVE her) never worked a day in her life, gets everything she wants and has no real appreciation for it, BUT still thinks her life is HARD...the HARDEST even though she's never gone through the stress of supporting the family (money for houses, cars, food, vacations), and watching it all, its not fair

i go the the pool to study and always see huge groups of the same moms on weekdays at noontime at the pool, laughing, gossiping, drinking beer, etc.... while their husbands are forced to be away at work . it just doesnt seem fair. men and women both dont really have time for themselves, but the way their time is "tied up" is different.

honestly, i very well could be totally wrong on this issue and i accept that, but from appearances and my experiences, its truly not fair

wow this right here is the story of my existence

I dont know how kwyck handles it now, but if it persists it will become an issue if you let it. Just a word of warning and trying to help you out before hand

It did complicate things alittle in the beginning, but my dad uses money to control me, so now that im close to graduating and getting a "real job" , i've taken it upon myself to pay for everything myself ,so he has no say, and what debt i will occur, will be paid off quickly so im not worried at all. but thanks for the warning.

its 100% true whether you are a man or a woman and their parents wont let them get out of the "nest", its always a bad thing.

Really depends on the situation. One or two kids is probably not THAT bad, but 4 or 5, now that's *****worthy. My friend has 5 kids and he works hard, but he is well aware that it is nothing compared to what his wife does. I honestly don't know how she does it. There is no way in hell I could endure what she goes through every day. She is constantly on the move, sleeps maybe 4-5 hours a night, she's a warrior. Then again, no one forced her to have that many kids, but she doesn't ***** one bit.
