Hey Nick- nice log so far! Did you compete in the King of the Bench at the Olympia? I think I saw you in a magazine that was handed out at the emerald cup in April. Yup pretty sure it was you. Lateryes it does, but today is my day off and I refuse to answer the phone, lol.
This is what tonights workout should look like:
Monday*
Flat bench
3 warm up sets of 5 (315, 425, 535)
2 moderate sets of 3 (585, 605)
2 heavy sets of 2 (both sets 625)
2 moderate sets 5 (545-550)
1 rep out set of 20 (405ish, lol)
Incline
4 sets of 15 reps with dbs (only have 100's dang it)
Pullovers
4x10 (never used a bar before, will start with 225)
not going super heavy because I am trying to give my joints a rest. I have devised a new workout program I am going to follow for the next 5-6 weeks (the first 2 being relatively light to get used to the frequency of the bench work). I will attach it a post later on this week.

Ahh- That's amazing that it was only 5 weeks after the tear!! I probably wouldn't of tried it. You're a braver man than I.Thanks! Yeah, that was me, fresh off a pec tear (5weeks prior). I don't think I will be doing it this year though (due to me being a westsider and the meet is WPO sanctioned), unless my sponsors have strong objections to me skipping it.

hope your ankle is ok, i am no stranger to sprained/twisted ankles! :aargh:Sorry for the lack of updates, I have had some serious family issues to deal with. I did another back workout similar to the one posted earlier, just without the heavy deads. My ankle got twisted when I was walking to my car after work, so I skipped legs and will do them next week on my back day. Didn't feel lethargic at all today, felt really good, muscles have been full all day. Strength seems to be gradually increasing, fat is still coming off but not as fast as it did in the first week.
Whoa, hold up.. You said "cardio"!
Scared o' you! :ntome:
lol, those of us without metabolisms have to do "it" every once in a while! looking good in your avi bro!
Thanks, I too fell victim to the treadmill.. Had a show last weekend..
Having bloodwork done on this cycle? That should be interesting to see how your numbers come up..![]()
nick, let me know the next time you are in Columbus or some other ohio city, i may be able to make it over there and shake your hand, buddy!nope, no bloodwork. I am working retarded hours during the week (and most weekends), am planning a wedding (helping my fiance as much as possible), and will soon be traveling every weekend for guest lifting appearances. I am also working on finding a job in my home town (2hrs away) because my fiance wants to work on her masters and get it finished before we have kids.

noI definitely will! Has you care package arrived yet?
That is my PR right there buddy, actually 11. :hammer:Had another very strong workout and recieved a lot of compliments on how I am looking! libido is still good which is something I am always worried about when trying a new compound.
Deadlifts (double overhand, no belt, on a 3" block, and using straps)
315x10
405x10
455x10
500x5
550x5
600x2
635x1 (tried 2 but failed half-way up)
405x12x2
Thats all I did today, was crunched for time. Still a good workout, very tired at the end. Had a great pump going and my traps are getting huge from doing all these deads!
the reps tired me out pretty quickly, its the first time I have ever deadlifted off a 3" block.....that **** is hard, lol
Pirates 3?
Yep! LOL, it was much better than the second one!
Pirates 3?
Stupid
More stupid than Pirates 2?
Like with the Matrix trilogy? Awesome---->Crap------->Giant Pile of Steaming Donkey Sh*t
Exactly, I thought it was terrible honestly, way worse then 2 which I thought was pretty decent.
3 made no sense! If someone can explain to me why in the sam hell that black lady grew giant and then exploded into crabs I would sure like to hear it!!!:wtf:
Great! now when i take my younger sis to see it today i'm going to be looking for a giant crab lady the whole time!:frustrate
But aren't you always on the lookout for large women with crabs? :whip:
cool dude
Ya, so whats up with this log? Nothing to report?
More stupid than Pirates 2?

Haven't lifted since my last report, passed a kidney stone, will be back in the gym soon though.
How do you know when you pass one of those? I mean, I'm sure it hurts but...
I would say:
1. Best movie ever 2. Big pile o steamy 3. Not bad / acceptable.
