3ad log

Nice to see your 3ad cycle is going good, I remember you being down in kansas for the fundraiser meet last summer, I helped out with the sound, younger guy, good to see your strength is still goin through the roof.

k, been spending a lot of time with my doctors lol. I had kidney stones and apparently it was due to a diet that was high in acids and low in fluids. It's apparently also due to the fact that I (just found out through a sleep study) have a very weak immune system due to sleep apnea. I will be getting a c-pap shortly, thank god. I kept taking 1 pill a day of the 3ad and 4 pills a day of mass fx and managed to maintain my size and my strength even though I wasn't eating for crap or lifting for the past two weeks (started back this week). I managed to hit 675 today and did a light chest/back workout on monday. I will get back to my regular posting on monday.

Good luck, Nick! glad to see you on the road to recovery!:head:

Haven't lifted since my last report, passed a kidney stone, will be back in the gym soon though.

Oh man! I had a friend that was passing like 3-5 a day for quite a while, I feel for you. Get better and back soon!

Crohn's is a horrible disease, my fiance has it and had to have 2.5 ft of her intestines removed last year.

Sorry to hear about that. I think that my friend might end up with the same thing. Took the doctors almost 2 years to finally figure out what it was. He is trying to avoid the surgery but since it is so far advanced I am thinking it might be his best option. Hope your fiancé does well and can keep it in remission.

ok, today was my first real day back, my strength is still there but my weight went down some (335). I cut my mass fx dose to two pills a day and 3ad back up to 3pills a day. Todays workout was short because I am doing a tune up meet this saturday (I will try and get vids for you guys).

Incline bench:
315x5 close grip
405x5 close grip
455x5 close grip
515x5
550x6 wanted to see how many I could do, lol

tricep pushdowns
stack x 15 x 3 sets

some measurments, approx bf% and the like. what are your current goals if any and maybe some numbers on current lifts

measurements:
arms (cold): 22"
chest: not sure, measuring tape only goes to 60
waist: 38"
thighs: 33.5"
calves: 20" (gotta work on this, lol)
BF% (by skindex): 17.5%

Current lifts:
flat bench: 725 (goal 725 in a comp)
reverse bench (lay on floor, start at chest, press, slow negative) 635* (goal 675)
Incline press: 625 (goal 665)
Shoulder press (starting at bottom of rep): 455x3* (goal 500*3)
Squat: 455x20 (never go above 500, only have 1 hamstring and going to heavy messes with knee tracking)
deads: 725 (with straps) (goal 750+)

*= no spotters

I don't expect to hit these goals during this testing cycle, but I do want to see how close I can get to them.

I'm speechless. Those are some friegen incredible numbers.

K, sorry for not posting in a week or so, I have been busy with work trying to get the doctors paid.

Last wednesday I did a little bit of back. I did 5 sets of 5 on deads with 505, 3 sets of bent over rows with 365x10, and 3 sets of chins (can't remember exact reps).

Yesterday I did chest:
reverse bench
315x10
405x10
495x5
550x5x3sets

Incline bench
405x10
455x8
505x5x3sets

skull crushers: did muscle rounds with these, 125lbs
(muscle rounds are 10 sets of 10 with 10 secs rest between sets).

Today I did a light back workout also, I was feeling hypo going in so I figured I would take it easy.

Close grip pulldowns
300x12x3sets

Wide grips
300x12x3sets

neutral grip chins
3 sets (8,8,6)

1 and 1/2 rep reverse flyes
130x10x3

feeling much better, getting great pumps, and starting to actually feel big and strong again!

At the bench contest this past saturday I only went to 635, it was an outdoor meet and it rained all day. The ground and bench were slippery. I ended up slipping on the bench with 635 but managed to press it relatively easy anyways. I stopped after that though because I knew if I went to 675 like I was planning I could get hurt if I slipped again.

Finally was able to lift again last night, lol. I only got two workouts in last week and that looks like it will be about what I get to do this week. I guess its not all bad since I am getting the bills paid down and because I am doing a guest lifting job in NY this weekend. I have been feeling better this past week than I can remember feeling in years. My weight is right about the same as it was before I was sick (335-340) and I am getting compliments on how good I am looking and what good shape I am in for my size. I also have energy throughout the day and don't feel like I want to take about 3 naps, lol.

Yesterdays workout:
Bench
315x5
405x5
515x5
605x3
675x1

Incline
455x5x3sets

Tricep pushdowns
stackx10x3

dips
10x3
