Since the Muscle Milk thread has become so successful, I thought I would start another based on Ergopharm's GF Pro. I'm a taste whore and I loved Ergopharm's Orange Cream flavor. So, give your opinion/s on the best and worst tasting GF Pro flavors.
 
Pineapple Mango is AWESOME

probably my favorite flavor

Ive had these, and this is my list in order from my favorite to least favorite (they are all good though)
Pin Mango
Blueberry/Ras Lemonade
Orange Cream
Cherry
 
sour apple thus far.
certain flavors are enhanced by fruit juice
 
I forgot to mention that not only does it taste great, but it mixes completely with no clumps or foam.
 
Hell Yeah Raspberry lemonade is in the early lead! I got Green Apple and it tastes more like Apple Tree Bark... Seriously, so nasty, I did go through the whole thing, but not very happy with it. The Mango was pretty decent, but for sure I love the Raspberry Lemonade... I'm going to buy some VERY soon, maybe an early christmas present ;)
 
The raspberry lemonade was good if I remember - Syntrax's Nectar: Roadside Lemonade, however, is not

I tried a sample of the roadside lemonade and it tasted suprisingly good actually. I thought fuzzy navel wasn't that bad either.
 
Hey guys, especially Nate, did you mix with milk, juice, or water? I want something BANGING in water!
 
all the GF Pros have been excellent in water I think :)
 
For me, it's pretty much a toss up between the Pineapple Mango and the Raspberry Lemonade. I haven't gotten tired of either of these. They're my favorites.

Blueberry Madness was pretty good, but I'm not a big blueberry fan, so it got old pretty fast.

Apple was okay, but it got old fast too. It took me a long time to finish that tub.

The cherry flavor is gross. It gets better if you let it sit for an hour in your refrigerator before drinking it. It was a big disappointment. I mixed it with some Chocolate Syntrax Matrix, and it helped a lot.

The Vanilla is okay, but it has a thickening agent in it. Contrary to what the label says, it does not mix instantly. It's clumpy and chunky when mixed with cold water.

The orange creme is okay, but tastes much better when you add a little orange juice to it.

I really like the Chocolate. I went through that jar pretty fast.

P.S. I always mix mine with distilled water or bottled drinking water. My tap water tastes horrible. I might try the vanilla with orange juice.

I haven't mixed mine with water yet. Orange Cream tastes great in skim milk though. Next on the list is Pineapple Mango. That might be one that I try with water.
 
I love Blueberries, and I heard so much about GF Pro that I bought 5lbs of it. Blueberry Madness is disgusting. I'll finish it b/c I paid for it, but :sick:

That sucks. Never trust your instinct's...so trust mine instead. Get Orange Creme next time.
 
I just really wish that more companies would have sample packs, where we could try every flavor, before spending $25+ on two pounds of the stuff.

I'm glad the AlltheWhey has their sampler packs. They were a big help in determining what flavors to order.

Sometimes, if you're lucky, companies will drop in sample packs of various products into your orders. This is how I found out that I like Syntrax Nectar. I never would have purchased it otherwise.

I really wish DS would come out with some sample packs for their Xceed flavors. I'm skeptical that CEE can be made to tase good. I'd really like to try it before I go spending $30+ on a jar.

When ordering from Nutraplanet, you can ask for sample packs of protein (in the comments section) and the majority of the time they give them to you. Ask and ye shall recieve. I'm one of the testers for XCEED, so I'll definately be letting everyone know how it tastes. I'm big on taste if you haven't noticed.

mix with milk and ice... it's gets better. its not the best GF pro though
 
Wow. Just recieved my Pineapple-Mango GF Pro. I mixed it with 10 oz of skim milk. What can I say, we have another winner here. The mango definately overpowers the pineapple, but it's a really good combo nonetheless. The only problem I had with this one over the Orange Cream is that for some reason, the Pinapple-Mango chunked up when I used my little hand mixer. It's not a bad thing. The little chunks taste like little pieces of mango. This flavor is natedogg approved.

Yeah i love pineapple mango...when you gonna try the lemonade, thats the flavor most people like alot.
 
I´m so lazy in some regards that I prefer to drink disgusting protein than go to the trouble of shipping it somewhere :o
 
i just got the raspberry lemonade...tastes terrible.

it smelled good after i blended it up, but it has a nasty aftertaste.
 
I recently purchased the Cherry Blast flavor. Mixes well, but the taste isn't as good as the previous two flavors I have tried. It's drinkable, but I wouldn't order this flavor again. I only got it for 18 bucks so it's not a big deal.
 
This might be a dumb question, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. Does anyone know what process the Whey Isolate in GF Pro goes through (ion-exchange, hydrolized, micro-filtered, and so on)? Its not like I know a lot about the differences in each process, but when I spend a lot on a supplement I want to know as much as I can on it before makeing a choice.

Also, a simpler question: I see that a lot of people are mixing GF Pro with millk. Are you guys (and gals) using it as a post workout shake? If so, will that slow down it's absorbtion?

I usually drink it with milk before my workouts. But no, it won't slow absorbtion. Use skim milk (or water if you don't care about taste) if you're that worried about it.
 
I like the orange cream a lot. I also think the green apple and blueberry are both also very good. Probably rasp. lemonade is the 3rd best, to me.....cherry leaves a lot to be desired.
 
Well let me start by saying i bought raspberry lemonade and pineapple mango flavors, neither mixes good. In a shaker cup there are always clumps no matter what. The only way to mix it good is by blender. So that is a downside for me already. I got the raspberry because of all the great reviews and such. I really dont like it and have to force my self to finish it. I drank probably a total of 3 or 4 scoops out of it and ill probably auction it out on the board or email me at [email protected] and shoot me an offer. The pineapple mango is great tasting its just the clumpyness that discourages me. Maybe I got a bad batch? not sure.
 
Ive tried Blueberry, Cherry, Green Apple, Vanilla, Orange, Rasp Lemonade, and Pineapple Mango. I would have to say that none of them mix any good, must be blended. I thought Cherry was absolutly horrible. Apple and Orange were ok, dont think i would like a whole tub of them. Vanilla is ok, but Rasp, Mango and Blueberry are very good I think. Although I usually shake and swallow clumps. I wish it mixed better but oh well.

I think they all taste good aside from cherry. The clumping is an issue, but not a big one. It hasn't been all that bad, except w/ the blueberry. The fact that blueberry tastes so good lets me accept some clumping w/ it.
 
rasp lemonade is awesome. excellent in water. never tried it in milk. for some reason it didn't sound good in milk to me.

the cherry is o.k. It is not my favorite but I will finish my tubs. Not the worst fruit flavored WPI. mixed it in water.

want to try the pineapple mango and blueberry.

pineapple mango i am trying this stuff is amazing just add more water than normal cause lil to sweet with less water
 
I'm using the Cherry Flavour right now, and I was expecting a lot worse. Could be I haven't gotten tired of it yet but it's not bad.

i get a weird aftertaste in my mouth that wont go away for a while. maybe its just me, i was def. expecting better but oh well i dont waste supps.
 
I've been trying this brand as an alternative to Primaforce's Grape WPI, which is the most pleasant tasting protein I've tried, but is a bit pricey. So far I've tried Raspberry Lemonade, which was quite unpleasant and had a bad aftertaste. Green Apple, which was somewhat better but still too much aftertaste. Pineapple Mango - I found this to be the least offensive of the 3, better taste and not such a bitter aftertaste. I thought all of them mixed rather poorly, even using a blender, and they all got very frothy which made the last ounce or 2 unpleasant to drink. I might order some of the Orange and give it a second chance, though. The price is very reasonable.
