Funny, everyone that I know, including family, think the complete opposite.

As for AWOLS in 30 years...well of course, we haven't fought a war like this in....30 years! Imagine that.

Maybe its cause you arn't over there on your third tour. Sent in by a VP with 5 differments and National Guard fly boy.
Just a couple of chicken hawks. In Vietnam you did one tour and you didn't have to go back. So its a little different then 30 years ago. You see Vietnam wasn't a war

im not saying that EVERYONE who goes to Iraq will come back hating the war and wanting to get out. im sure if you are in the Air Force or on a ship close to Iraq then its prob not that bad. but all my friends are INFANTRY. the ones who make up over 90% of the deaths.

I'm headed back voluntarily for well over my third there chief. And to call ANYONE who volunteers for the service "chicken hawks" is pretty ****ing disrespectful. And will do it everytime when called upon. When seen with you own eyes... its a lot different from the propaganda you see.

and just so we`re clear, you just said Iraq is a bad as Vietnam right?

No, thats not what I said or do you want to argue semantics.

Maybe I should be more clear for all those anti-"war" people, who we should just call anti-"confict" people, for those nacho's who don't seem to get the point.

Lets see, a ground war run by politicians rather than the military? Is that clear enough for anti-bush, anti-conflict, pro-semantic people?

All you do is argue semantics. You look for words to play on. You look to twist just about everything and everyone to make your whining, negative and pessimistic viewpoints.

Now instead of actually makiing points you turn to the usual name calling when someone done'st agree with your viewpoints. You are the typical Bush hater. You hate somone so much that it makes your whole viewpoint completely negative then it spills over on those that agree with maybe 2% of Bush's policies.

Bush Derangement Syndrome: the acute onset of paranoia in otherwise normal people in reaction to the policies, the presidency -- nay -- the very existence of George W. Bush.

The diagnosis is correct doctor.

You see Vietnam wasn't a war

Right...tell that to the people who were over there. It wans't a war, you were just fighting in a "conflict"

Completely and utterly disrespectful to those who served there. Go tell them all it wasn't a war.

So are mine. Marine infantry. The ones who were getting bombed on when they wre taking a shower in Fallujah.

SO what point does that make? ****in nothing. There are those who can't stand it, those who want to stay and neither your opinion or mine should count as the military as a whole OR determine a course of action. Generals disagree genius, let alone soldiers.

Great thread until nachohead had to start calling people chicken hawks, especially someone that served 3 tours there or anyone for that matter. Your inflammatory post has been removed. Remember Dean was for the war until it got ugly. Real bright there Einstein.

Sorry about posting after you closed this Bobo but I had to say I completely agree with this:
