It's Showtime! Well, in May it will be...

Thanks alot from our good friend USP for the nod, I'm preparing for a show in May.. As I prep, I will be using afew USP products (of course with DS) while I lean out.. Right now I'm starting on Anabolic Pump and Super Cissus Rx.. I start to actually diet down 10wks out, so these two should help bigtime..

My diet is simple: complex carbs(200g), high protein(2xbodyweight), moderate essential fats (30-40g from flax/fish/olive).. I eat 6-8 meals, 3 of them are shakes since protein in any form should be considered part of your food intake.. I eat alot of eggs and cottage cheese, tuna, chicken breast, steak, sweet potato, brown rice, quinoa (keen-wah), and lots of veggies..

I'll update this just about everyother day, I'll post here after updating my other logs.. :study:

I'm 219 now and could stand to lose a good amount of fluff.. Hopefully I end up at the light-heavy cut-off, so 185 or so is where I need to be..

Nice! Thanks for loggin Pete.

Good luck BP, for some reason it sounds weird to hear you will be anywhere near 185.:D

Yeah, but like when I cut from 190 to 165 I didn't look any smaller.. ;)

If I end up heavier it's cool, just hope I have the condition that warrants the higher weight.. I hate when people think they need to be ripped at x-weight, when they never dieted before and may not stay over 200lbs if they're even there.. I just worry about how hard, dry, and striated I get.. If I weigh 190, hopefully I look good if I pull it off.. :)

So far I've taken a cap before breakfast:
2cups oatmeal
2 slices wheat bread with organic fruitspread
40g whey in 16oz skim milk

Felt full, like I did 100 push-ups full.. Took one with lunch:
8oz chicken breast
1.5cups sweet potato, diced
1cup brocolli steamed
40g whey in 16oz skim milk

Felt even fuller.. I'll stick with taking this with my bigger meals.. I also had 3 Super Cissus before breakfast, and another 3 will be taken with my Kre-Alkalyn before I lift later..

What kind of Kre-Alk are you taking BP? And if I can ask, why did you choose it over any other creatine product?

I take the patented AA-EFX Kre-Alkalyn EFX product.. I wanted to try something different, tired of powders so I'll play with this for awhile..

Since I've been stacking Venom Hyperdrive with Dicana, I'm down to 214 and have a better idea of how my abs/waist looks.. :D

AP does indeed need carbs to work.. Today I took a cap before eating 2cups of oatmeal.. This is roughly 35-45g carbs, but I felt tired and rundown until I drank a shake with another 60g malto.. After that, I was back to normal, and my glucose readings haven't been over 100mg/dl since starting, so this is serious sh!t.. ;)

Good luck, i wouldn't be suprised if you had to up your carb intake because of the Ap and your use of Dicana, appetite up?

Hell, my appetite is insane.. Food is just in and out, almost as frequently out as it is in.. ;)

Had my AP with lunch (2cups oats, 10oz ground sirloin, 3 slices wheat toast with natural peanutbutter).. My second was PWO with my serving of Replenish, took last cap with a 1/4lb sirloin burger on a wheat bun with sweet potato fries.. I'm still hungry.. :(

Thanks, now I MUST have a sirloin burger & sweet potato fries. Sigh.

Now can you see why this stuff would be amazing for bulking, for the natural or enhanced athlete.

Hey BPF, just wondering what your thoughts are regarding adding in a couple of servings of fruit (say an apple and a banana) each day while cutting. Would it significantly impact the fat loss process in your opinion?

It shouldn't impact too much as long as it's in the range of caloric intake you need to keep burning fat.. Plus, bananas and apples are not very high glycemic, and great sources of fiber..

So far, what I like about AP:
1. My glucose numbers are staying pretty low
2. My waist has leaned out more since starting
3. I can eat pounds of sweet potato, no worry!

SuperCissus: haven't been using it long enough, but I do notice a slight improvement in my neck.. Having nerve damage, I tweak it at times and it makes certain movements hard.. SC may have loosened me up, it's the only change in my regiment.. :)

I am having some light back issues and was talking to a good friend of mine Jon Doyle at Invalid Link Removed who is also a world class exercise specialist.

As bodybuilders we either push (press) and pull (row), We need to add in rotational exercises. I have incorporated his concepts and I feel 10 years younder and super mobile!!!

Interesting stuff, brother.. :)

I just love days off.. Even more I love 10lb bags of sweet potato, oats, and brown rice. ;)

I'm basically eating between 35-50g protein with 50-65g carbs, every other meal is protein/fats..

Ok, here's my updated eating plan.. Now that my waist is down abit to 31" and now weighing 212, I have my meals set up in this way to accomodate my USPLabs intake.. ;)

3 meals= 50g protein/60-100g complex carbs/10g fats or less
3 meals= 50g protein/30-40g complex carbs/15g fats or less
3 shakes= 35-50g whey in 12oz fat-free milk (carbs are negligible)

The 3 higher carb meals are in the morning (breakfast 2), early afternoon (pre-lunch), and post-workout..

Also, I'd like to thank USPLabs for the lovely gift! As cheesy as it may be, I've documented my supplement stash.. :D

Fun note: I stopped taking the Kre-Alkalyn just to see how much of an actual pump I'm getting from AP/SC alone..

[ron simmons]Damn!![/ron simmons]

Ate an English Burger for lunch with sweet potato fries, easy 1900kcal meal, felt and looked like I gained 10lbs after eating.. Even my boss wants some AP(he did buy lunch).. :D

:ntome:

Nice!

For those who want to try a new product that is potent, I took 1 cap before bed the last 3 days, I wake up with insane energy everytime.. ;)

Hint: USP makes it..

Thanks for the input Pete. I always say to myself "if it's good enough for BPF then it's good enough for me" your word is that credible. I'm gonna get some AP and play with low carbing after the Super Bowl of course. Good luck with the show :)

REM? Powerful?

One of those.. ;)

Been off the Kre-Alkalyn for almost a week, still pumped like I never stopped takin' it.. I like my eating plan so far, with AP and my carb meals I get a good amount of energy, and the fullness is nice.. :)

Thanks, brother.. I just tell the truth about things like this, that's how companies can evaluate non-responders and such.. :)

You'll like the AP.. ;)

I must say, I didn't respond to the last incarnation but this one I'm feeling!

Ok, ok.. I'm using ******** now, the new one everyone's been waiting for.. Trust me, this new version will get you nice and pumped better than the first.. Sorry if I let out the info too soon, but it's too damn good to keep a secret.. :study:

So far, 4-5 *******
moved up to 6 Super Cissus ED, no knee pain to report!
3 AnaPump with my carb-heavy meals, still pumped..
cAMP 4 caps daily, needed a break from stims..

3rd edition? Geez, which one did I try out before? It's seriously like nite/day with these, brother!

The PureSap original I didn't respond to, never tried the redux.. This version, oh my freakin' gawd!! :study:

How are you dosing it?

I go by the bottle suggestion of:

1 30mins before food
2 pre-workout
2 before bed

Seems to work pretty good considering I wake up more alert and refreshed, and I'm recovering better..

Should I put in another order? :study:

Update:

Down to 207.. Have yet to do cardio, and I might go old-school and not do any at all.. ;)

PowerFULL is damn good 2 caps 30mins prior to hittin' the iron.. The joints are feelin' nice, and of course the carbs are just filling me out..

I want more PowerFULL.. All who read this should invest when available..

Inner Circle members can already buy it, the price is ridiculous. Jacob has lost his mind in that aspect.

pete just wanted to wish you good luk on hittin 185. your comments on leaner lower weight= larger appearance are accurate. taking glyogen out of the mix muscle has a much lower density than fat. you can get very big at 185(almost scary lookin)

people are so used to the ronnie colemanesque pros they often dont realize these people are so large they dont even look human anymore.

frank zane beat arnold at a weight of under 200 pounds and was small by no means

Insane post! :head:

Thanks alot, brother.. I do hope dieting down as slowly as I am helps with maintaining as much muscle as I can..

your avatar is very impressive and you have the symmetry to do well in competition Invalid Link Removed

here is part of an article from t-nation to demonstrate

Let me tell you this: a diet won't make you look good until you drop down to at least 10% body fat. That's the point where you start to actually look bigger even though you're becoming smaller (because of the fat you're losing). As you go down to 8% or so, people will actually believe that you're gaining size as your weight goes down!

Simply put, when you aren't lean, adding some fat will make you look larger and losing just a bit of fat will make you look smaller. But past a certain point (10%), you'll look larger by the day as you're losing fat. It's all an illusion.

"Here are some examples of this. First is Sebastien Cossette (a.k.a. Da Freak), a young bodybuilder I trained for his first competition. In the ''before'' pics he actually weighs more than in the ''after'' pictures (around 210 vs. 190-195) yet he looks much bigger and more impressive in the latter."

Thanks for the props, but I can only hope to pull off light-heavy.. If I end up a middleweight again, it'll be my last time competing for good..

Thank you I have enjoyed this forum and ALL the info I am learning!!!

I will try to look them up but if not when I get to my home computer I will check it out. Here at work we have the IT natzi and unable to look at certain things.

Leaning out like crazy, I may have to get some pics up.. I do have a pic from a month ago not so lean, so this will be a cool b&a.. ;)
