There’s been a couple guys I’ve actually been to meets with, Tyga Tyga & JSwain34, that have come and gone. Became parents and pretty much moved onto the family stage of life, so hopefully those things continued to prosper for them. I do wonder about them from time to time, how life is going.

I think a lot of folks just pass through for a while for different reasons, and then things get better or worse for them so life changes in a big way.

Ricky Blobby was a fun guy that I think got caught up in a bad lifestyle; hope he’s alright but it sounded like a trainwreck last he popped in.

I remember Abe a little bit, I think @DR.D was a lot more active on here before you came along. He had a HUGE Oral Pulsing thread that had a lot of good information in it, but also had a lot of people hating on it at the same time. Dr.D definitely knew his stuff though. I have seen him on here a while back, but not sure if he still hops on on occasion or not.

Do you all remember Hairygrandpa he was a nut. Dude would try anything, gear, crazy workouts, crazy diets, he truly was a mad scientist, but he ran into some health issues and then disappeared. I hope he is still alive, but I know he was not doing well when he dropped off the board. I remember him always telling us about his tilapia farms, and how things were run down there in Bananaland or whatever he called where he lived.
I was here while dr. d was active.

Hairy grandpas health issues were probably because of all the things he did. He was one of those guys that tried everything crazy except actually getting in shape. When you're out of shape and you're taking a whole bunch of crap and you're like 50 to 60 years old that's not a good mix for your heart. I'm not sure what actually happened to him but I remember he was having health issues and I always felt it was probably a direct mix of using all these risky anabolics that most people don't use and eating like a typical American or crash dieting. He didn't just experiment with high risk cycles, he pretty much only ran high risk cycles I feel like he stayed on trest all the time and was always talking orals, playing with fire at that age and level of fitness. I was actually under the impression he died.

As bad as all that sounds I'm not talking s***, I'm just being honest and I actually enjoyed following his logs and talking with him. But he was very reckless

... It's not the one that I had in mind, but Rickyblobby was very active on here a few years ago....

(Hyde, I actually saw your post after I mentioned him).

He was an interesting cat..

Remember, The Alchemist? Can't remember his actual handle

Does anyone know what happened to TripDogg?

I heard he passed away, but not much else...

What happened to HGP?
On top of pushing all the gear and other things he got hooked on ecstasy at the end. That is when things started to go down for him. That stuff is entirely too fun for a compulsive type person. I also remember he was doing some pretty aggressive self research when his health went down quickly. Then unfortunately, he just disappeared. He was like that crazy Uncle that everyone loved, but always wondered just how he keeps on ticking.

Oh, I thought it was you that said they didn't remember him.

Yes Sir, you are spot on regarding HGP. He and I used to talk quite a bit via DM's and I was forever trying to reign him in on some of what he was doing. Sometimes I succeeded and often I did not. When he tried ecstasy, I warned him that stuff can be dangerous, and he had no business using it while he was on what he was on. Then he went from just once to every weekend then both weekend nights. I get it, he was getting attention, and it feels so good, but it is far from healthy or easy on you. I mean this stuff wasn't straight MDMA like Molly now, it was full of meth and all kinds of crap. I had already been through my phase and saw what can come of it through my wife. So I did my best to talk him out of the regular use. I definitely believe he passed, but we never did get the actual word. He was a super cool guy, and I miss his bigger than life personality, and the real conversations we would have via DM.

Do you all remember Garrett? I can't remember his screen name for the life of me, but he came to Texas for something once and I invited him for a garage session. It was pretty awesome. I love when we get to meet up and lift with people from the board. That is one thing that sucks about the board being slower, not as many chances to meet up with people from the board for a workout.

Yeah, he was wild...I remember him talking about going to raves and stuff...as an older man...thats gnarly

@Trauma1

This is Trips bro, I believe.

Solid dude

I do not remember, Garrett....surprisingly

Or maybe I just knew him by his screen name

Im just going to throw this in here...since this is just a fun thread anyways..

So, I've struggled for years with alcohol. Im all gas/no brakes in my life...and unfortunately, drinking was no different

Recently, I began to dabble with marijuana. Ive found a couple hybrid and indica strains that work well to relax me.

I have zero desire to drink, and I've got 31 days sober....I should tried the plant a LONG time ago

Random question...

Is there any way to change the theme to dark/black on here. I thought there definitely use to be....

The white hurts my old man eyes

RIP Snags, that was the other OG I was thinking of. Couldn't remember the handle.

Also, congrats on the sobriety @manifesto a lot of dudes on here going through the same thing/journey.

I definitely see marijuana as a better option to drinking. I am not saying it doesn't have it's drawbacks, but it is nowhere near as harmful as alcohol. I typically snoke when others are drinking, and when I drink it is just socially, and I will just throw my drinks away when people leave. I have always done that because alcoholism runs in my family. So, I have always tried to exercise power over it. if I notice i start drinking to often I just avoid it for a while. Make sure it never becomes a habit. I would absolutely prefer a couple tokes or an edible over alcohol. Even if i want to get stupid, I never lose control, and the worst thing that can happen is I fall asleep earlier, or maybe get a case of the munchies and undo a little progress. Not kill a family of 3 on my way home or do something stupid because I am drunk out of my mind.

There was a period i was blaming smoking for a lot of things, but I went to therapy, and realized I was just not dealing with my fathers death. Once I dealt with that most of my issues just fell away, and it was obvious I just needed to deal with something I had tagged as to traumatic to deal with, and buried until it forced its way out.

I didnt know Rocket passed....damn...

What happened?

Man I'll never forget I was getting ready to board an airplane when he made this post.

He eventually was declared cancer free and got to ring the bell at the hospital but as I recall and understand during post chemo treatment he developed an infection that he couldn't recover from.

He was a fun, hardworking inspiration to a lot of people.

Although there have been many who have contributed significantly (and there still are) I would also like to mention Dr.D and add MrCooper to the list.

I always thought he was a really good guy.

He always was, in every interaction I witnessed here. Positive, helpful, supportive, and knew what life was really about - a lot of people could take inspiration from him, myself included.

It was Rocket’s passing that finally drove me to make a 405lb benchpress. It took 15 years of benching, but his death galvanized me to go all-in & make it happen, because that’s always been a bucket-list thing for me. You really never know how long you have.

Thats awesome

Yeah, Rocket is missed, pretty much daily!

Good times and much respect to the OG's. All of them and you guys have contributed much to make this forum still a place I visit. Truly different times, in the best way possible. I remember spending the bigger part of a day just being a sponge to absorb all the info.

The prohormone era of Patrick Arnold and Company was the best times to be around 😎
I'd love to get my hands on some of that 1-AD

That stuff was 🔥

Another old schooler that comes and goes is Jimbuick, now @Jimbabwe, or Jimbo, as we all know him by. He has been here for years and years. Really good Dude, he is probably so busy being an attorney now he doesn't have any more time to post. I need to hit him up on text and check in on him.

There was a dude named "JayHawkk" he was pretty cool. Haven't seen him in years though

Where did iwilleatuna go. He was a young kid who was always shredded and did a couple mens physique shows. I told him I would buy his first cycle if he ever hopped on and I was serious. I wanted to see that kid mutate because he definitely would have

I temporarily forgot about him. Yeah, he was really active on here for a while. He hasn't posted for almost 3 years.

Yeah that dude stayed ripped. I tried to get him to eat more for a while, but he had a very low cap on how far he would allow himself to go before he felt he wasn't lean enough and would go right back to dieting. Good guy for sure, and I wanted to see what he could bring to the table if he ever truly went for it.

My thoughts exactly

He had a body image problem IMO.
That was a big part of a lot of our discussions. if he got over like 8% he thought he was getting fat. Well fat for him.
How old was he? I remember seeing his post and stuff
Gosh, I don't remember, but he was young! I feel like he was around 20 when we were working together. He was a good guy for sure. He had tons of potential.

Yeah, I only had limited interaction....but definitely had a good personality and very pleasant to chat with. Hope hes doing good

Can let this thread die....

How are all the OGs doing?

Dec 25, 2005 for me. I browse every now and then. Dont post much because everyone is a influencer and knows what they are talking about so why even fight it. Been hitting the gym almost 23 years now and still going. **** everyone else that doesnt last that long.

i was originally at elitefitness forum when back in 2001, then they gave me briefly my own moderated chemistry section back in 2005 ish then that forum became lame and so focused on a few people selling their products with their inner circle of online goons , then was at mind and muscle forum then that shut down, then phf forum and lurked at 1 fast 400. i remember trolling our member here Beau back in the day at PHF telling him i was in 4th grade :ROFLMAO:
i hope your remember that beau?🤣

I remember a lot of things while on PHF ..... Almost all of them were either educational or hysterical.

I wanted to start this thread to talk about some of the old school, very memorable members. Maybe we can reminisce a little...tag them...and who knows...
I think I could single-handedly revive this forum. Maybe I will.
