Thor's Thunder: Electrake's Epic Training Tales

I can't decide if I for sure see the Alpha GPC results, but it seems like at a high enough dose maybe. either way I keep trying lol
There are these "Alpha Pouches" nootropic snuff. Like zynnies but it's basically just a little caffiene and alpha gpc. seems like it's dosed too low to do anything though.

I need to make a BIG supp order, reviving the bank from my due diligence/earnest money still lol

I know that feel, lol.
I'm actually really sorta happy to be wrapping up a shitton of supps I have from Steve right now cause I sorta want to go a short period with nothing in my system and then come at it with a new state of mind to re-up. thing is I'm sorta spoiled right now cause I went right from the epiandro run into my phosphatidic acid xt so I'm guessing when my anabolic effect and PA XT both run out I'll feel like a miserable flabby sack of crap 😅

Lol I'm only running joint stuff and pepti plex right now, I feel deflated and have less "pep" I associate with test boosters

Holy hell my aching shoulders

Just on new pre-workouts, I started up LFG Burn for my cut. Lot of good fat loss ingredients in it, but the caffeine is microencapsulated. So it doesn't ever "hit". I do like Ryse Sunny-D. Great taste, hefty dose of caffeine and nitrates. Also have a heavy stim Convict pre Souls 4 Sale I've been wanting to dip into...

I think most things in a lot of the popular preworkouts make more sense taken daily so my performance and nootropic ingredients I’m pretty much using anyways, toss in an energy drink mostly for caffeine in the early part of the day for me.

yeah there are some garbage energy drinks out there but when you look at a lot of what's on the market these days they have some great ingredients without nailing you with 300mg of caffeine and 87g of sugar lol

I generally want closer to 300mg total caffeine preWO for hard training, if my bp/fitness at the time will tolerate it.

I find a very stark contrast between 200mg and 300mg of caffeine, I'd say I'm fairly sensitive however handling 200mg of caffeine probably alludes to a lack of sensitivity lol. I wonder if there's an order of magnitude with it, such as the difference between a pH of 3.0 and 3.1 is 10x...

My preference is ~200mg caffeine, theanine, some phenyls, and theobromine, and far as cognitive and energy support is concerned. I do prefer spicing it up with some DMAA, if that were still an easy thing to come by 🙃

I think my own personal preference tends to vary quite a bit by season. Now that we have these beautiful 16hour PNW days I barely need a full cup of coffee and most of the "energy drinks" I might reach for mid day have only 80mg in them. The original rockstars only had like 160mg but 63mg of sugar as well.

IIRC the All Out preWO we've been playing with is around 225mg but cafiene that high would likely only serve me well under a barbell. if I'm that high at a desk job I'm tweaking out.

come winter time, I can drink coffee till 4pm no problem though.

That stuff was SICK 400mg caffeine, 90mg DMAA, full serving of BA, and a few other goodies, that stuff was the real deal! I also loved the original Jack3d! That stuff was amazing. I got lucky and got about 1000 3 scoop packages of Jack3d, and about 400 6 cap packets of PowerFull their old GH product given to me when I stopped repping for USPLabs because they didn't want to pay shipping on the returns from my demos package. That and they owed me some product for using me as their poster boy in their pamphlets, and advertising. I used that Jack3d for over 2 years.

There were some good companies back then that got swallowed up. APS being one of them.

I talked to Steve already to give my accolades, but damn. I forgot about a lot of my aches and pains. Last week I ran out PEA, Joint support XT, and Pepti-plex, I've been waking up stiff, sore between the shoulder blades, elbow tendinitis is rough in my sleep (haven't been doing grip training), and my carpal tunnel has been rough. Reordering a few with these sales, damn.

All coupled with limited gym time, I'm working on scheduling between my at home job, working the brewery, and when to get in some training. I think I got it down this week, just requires getting up earlier, which isn't an issue.

On a Cissus, Joint Support XT, and Pea Relief stack myself. GAME CHANGER!!!

I dropped Cissus, I'd gotten it for the package deal, I'm not entirely sure if I noticed anything... Recognizing that we all respond to different things lol. But Joint Support, PEA, and Pepti have helped me cope with and bounce back from a lot more than I realized. Someone else said it perfectly "I don't notice when I take it, but not taking it sucks."

FACTS

I don’t get anything out of the Cissus XT at normal doses. But if I took 3+ grams at once, there was a really obvious anti-inflammatory effect when I had pinched a nerve in my back.

I would keep it as an ibuprofen alternative/adjunct

It's cost effective, probably worth keeping around to try next time I'm hurt. Hauling full kegs around reminded me what a day of walking on concrete can do to the body with heavy weight.

That beard will get regrown in no time with that work lol

You need to "accidentally" damage a keg so you can take it home for GPP purposes.

If you ever want one, go to any big liquor store and ask to buy an empty one - usually less than $25. We have something like 8 filled to various weights, as a matter of fact.

Damn near any decent sized brewery will probably have a pile of kegs with messed up stems that won't hold pressure. At the last BIG brewery I worked at, I donated like 8 half barrels (the big 15.5gal kegs) to my gym down there for a few free months lol.

I kind of thought that might be the case.

Sweet!

In a very weird turn of events, I might be staying in my current house instead of buying. I found a way to keep my current rate here, monthly payment is more than 50% cheaper of what the new house would be. I'd have to get a HELOC to pay the exwife her share of the equity is the only caviat, but then I can fix this place up. 2800sqft is a whole lot of bachelor pad though lol.

Time to climb back on the gain train 😎

Congratulations on the great news man! That’s a win!!!

holy ****! sold!

Congratulations on the great news man! That’s a win!!!
Totally, the original thought was gtfo out of this town and the marital home, but with the brewery shindig I may be able to pay this place off in 2ish years. As far as training... The gym here sucks ass, but maybe I'll be able to put up a shed or something outside in the not so distant future. I don't trust the floors in my 100 year old house to support 500lb deadlifts and the basement ceilings aren't tall enough for pressing lol.

Working out the loan details today, it's like applying for a new mortgage basically, but if I were approved for $400k at 6.5%, the $200 I have here at 2.2% shouldn't be an issue.

Back on training today though, need to track meals for the next few weeks to regain a baseline, jumping back on the Wendler train to get my numbers back up, and eager for my next SNS shipment. BTW, I'm open to some suggestions to steer away from 531, I love it, but am getting a little bored. Focusing predominantly on strength training.

I can’t really make any recommendations without knowing what you want to train for, and what you’re finding boring about 5/3/1. At some point, barbell training kind of is what it is. Some people make peace with that, and others have to seek more variety. But knowing your goals is still important to pick the right variety.

I take it back, I had a wonderful time running my usual "Negative Birth" lol.

We got a loooooong ways to get back to where we were! Happy to be doing the work though. I have a massive shipment of lifestyle supplements on the way, but didn't order anything based much on anabolism given my unsettled nature. I have a bottle of Prime untouched, and some AXT and AE still, probably start there and see how things go eating right and training. Then again... should take advantage of this sale...

Glad you are getting back into it.

There are so many ways to go, hard to make recommendations of a switch without more specifics.
Yeah, I think i was mostly opening dialogue, but with how far my strength (and weight) have dropped, I'm happy to sticking with what I know works for me.

I'll get diet and consistency back under me and the rest will fall in place.

I ran 5/3/1 many times and also kinda found it off putting. effective for a couple cycles, but boring unless I added the volume work (at which point it became too much for me to recover from). I've really enjoyed aspects of conjugate in the past.

I was really enjoying "Negative Birth" a variation of BBS, but I've definitely tweaked it around. I do all my supplemental work as supersets with my assistance stuff, reduces time and works on endurance. In the not so distant future I'll be switching it up, either a different variation or something new entirely, more powerlifting based.

I still want to break into strongman again, but I need to buy my own implements besides my log, axle, and ONE 200lb sandbag.

Greg Panora has created a “raw conjugate hybrid” program. I’m tempted to check it out for bench only. His personal results and his team are stacked. He just benched 485 at a meet the other week, he’s 44. Goals.

Today felt great, I love pressing things overhead... It's obvious to me I've been malnourished, lack of energy yesterday, drastic improvements on that today, let alone mood adjustments. Not to mention almost feeling like I have a place in life again.

Shook hands with the brewery owner today, $30/hr making my own hours around my software dev gig as long as what needs to get done is tended to. The guy is even looking for an underling for me so I don't get too much going on, an amazing individual and I've never had a boss care that much. House is completely delisted, my purchase offer rescinded, just waiting on my earnest money back and that's clean from my slate. Next step is the divorce which will take at least a month, get her off the title and mortgage, then get an equity loan of sorts to give her her share, then that chapter is complete! The 6 months I've been with you all has been a journey and a half. Lets get some weight back on and start lifting heavy things again.

Worth mentioning, atm my stack is as such:

Joint support XT
Polygala
pine pollen
Prime
Alpha Gel
Carnitine TD
magnesium creatine
Pump addict

Today I finished off AE and AXT, thought I had more, but I've been inconsistent so meh. Was amazing the first month, second month, **** hit the fan in my life lol. I have a HUGE care package coming from SNS today, don't remember what all I ordered, but I'll be basing the next 2-3 months off of it, if not ordering a bit more.

Glad things are moving in the right direction for you! Sounds like what was supposed to happen for you is - even if it’s not what you originally expected that to be.

Life uh... finds a way...

Lol it never ceases to amaze me how life unfolds, one way or another. I won't be making my fitness goals this year, but damn if I didn't survive some trying ****.

hope you're doing well homie-

If finances let you make another run I've enjoyed both AE and AXT a few times. Steve always tells us to get 2 bottles since you really start to notice around week 3 and in my experience... he was definitely right. Both are so incredibly subtle in day to day life, but I personally found that on AE, my strength maintains really well while in a deficit. But most of my PRs seem to come on AXT. so I like both.

and of course, no stack is completely without phosphatidic acid xt. <-- I have really really loved this for the pump quality

Yeah I was going to update this evening, didn't need any lifting with the weekend I had at the brewery lol.

Oof! The last week has been a nut kicker! 72 hours between programming and brewing last week, not to mention repairs and fun crap. Every single one one of the kegs was hand filled and carried/stacked in this damn walk in. My traps were SCREAMING and my grip was getting rough. Wasn't just one day thankfully.
Invalid Link Removed

This last brew day, I ran out of containers that fit between these tanks. I had to fill up that damn white container, haul it over, and dump it. Started out as 1500lb of dry grains.
Invalid Link Removed

Couple all that with something breaking daily, negligence from the previous owner, it's been a mess. I'm slowly rolling back my wakeup time to make actual gym time, but damn have I been working my ass off physically here and at my software dev job.

Massive shoutouts to carnitine TD, joint stuff and PEA relief, as well as Alpha Gel. Definitely leaning out from this, can't put enough food in my stomach and am walking 17k steps when I'm at the brewery.

Sounds like a gauntlet of a week and you KILLED IT!!! Fixing someone’s lack of due diligence is never fun, but fixing it right and fixing it once will pay dividends down the road. Way to work Man!!!

Putting in that work!
