The dissapearing man

I would be leaning in that direction also. Mangled right knee snowboarding. ACL and meniscus. No cause and effect at the gym? Just blew up on you? Mine can act up from squats. Feels like someone drove a railroad spike into my patella. Swells below and to outside of cap
Nope, no clue. Last week i did legs and it was fine. The next morning it was fine and then maybe the day after that i noticed my knee felt funny through my jeans. So i looked and wtf do i see but this swollen knee cap. Then it started hurting a bit as the joint tightens from inflamation. Who knows. If today was leg day i could fight through it. It looks worse tjen whatever it is

Whats your guys opinion, i just did my push day and crazy pumped up. Morning fasted weight was 200lbs even. I gotta take some new pics but i dont look like ive put on any fat. Just some extra air in the muscles lol.

So i just did a few light leg exercises. I can do all hamstring machines, i can leg press full range in the machine press and machine hack squat.

Being back to 200 fairly lean i think i can squeeze about 15 more lbs on before i chill and probably cut back to 200 and start again.

You think this os reasonable with my leg? Obviously if i train legs wedensday and the knee hurts or swells worse i Immediately call it quits on that.

I have no problem slow cruisin my way through the next 6 weeks slightly over maitnence for 2 or 3 lbs. But i feel like if it wasnt for my leg it would be a great time to push a little harder. Im almost always dealing with something so if its not my knee im sure it will be my shoulder or wrist or back next time.
 
Im not pushing food without training legs. Im already top heavy and dont want that to get more Disproportionate. My legs are always detrained when it comes to volume so maybe i just crank out 10×10's on whatever dont hurt
 
If it were me, with your physique and the holidays coming up, I’d hold steady at maintenance for a couple weeks training upper body and super light lower body if you really had to. I’d be terrified to put weight on that knee if it was me, but you said it looks worse than it is.

BPC 157 could still help, just don’t inject right into the problem area. You could go near by or let it do it’s thing systemically.

topical turmeric or Cbd as well may help like Hyde mentioned.
 
Im not pushing food without training legs. Im already top heavy and dont want that to get more Disproportionate. My legs are always detrained when it comes to volume so maybe i just crank out 10×10's on whatever dont hurt
My ortho and my PT both gave same advice…if it hurts, don’t do it. I’m waking up w excruciating shoulder pain and no exercise hurts while I’m doing it so I’m pressing on.
 
Sorry not using any peptides on this. Sometimes there's a place to play doctor and sometimes you actually need a dr.

I don't know the extent of the injury yet. But i'm not playing doctor because I already did that on both kness for torn meniscus. Which is probably why it's swollen right now. Anyways because it never fully healed and I must have re injured it. At least that's my theory and I don't have a 100% concrete answer. So i'm not gonna take guesses for treating a guess if that makes sense

Yes 100%, when i fucked up my shoulders the first time i was told im ginna need rotator cuff surgery soon. But he also said **** it. The muscles are strong and holding it togther so if you can do stuff that dont hurt keep doing it. Ifvit hurts do something different.

So by that logic I should train legs as hard as I can as long as the exercises are not causing pain. With my shoulders it started out with just a boat load of side lateral raises. So maybe with my legs It's gonna start out with a boat load of machine leg presses and hamstring curls

Why not? Something is better than nothing. Letting the muscles around the joint disuse atrophy isn’t going to keep the knee more stable. How do leg ext feel?
 
But I may wanna play Dr as my shoulder pain wakes me up. I blame the dog. 3-5 times a night he slams that bowling ball size head into me wanting to get under the covers. It’s when I extend the arm like I’m doing a fly to lift covers so he can get under that it hurts. Not front delt, not side delt, it’s deeper and in between. Also pain where clavicle meets shoulder. Is it an inflamed bursa?

Ive used probably 10+ bttls of bpc on my shoulders. Often it works pretty damn good. But I definitely have arthritis in my shoulders and some bones spurs and those will never go away permenately

Leg ext is ok if i dont lock out. I could do them as continious pump sets as a finisher. Basically, just 3/4 range motion, no full extension, No full stretch, just pump and pump and pump
 
If i actually knew the cause i would be more inclined to treat it myself
Cant blame you there! I know you already know it but just wanted to point out it didn’t have to be localized injections. I full agree there’s a time and place to play doctor or actually go to someone smarter then you (which is hard to find these days in a PCP - you have to go to a specialist)

Ive only found bpc to work localized. I know it does go systemic but all my sucessfull uses are pinning it local. None of this really matters cause I don't have any bpc on hand, i have none coming with my next shipment so i likely Won't have any bpc till january anyways.

Out of frustration because im so often pulling the plug on cycles, im making what might be a bad decision and I'm blasting my balls off and training my legs as hard as I possibly can With any and all moves that do not directly hurt. My knee and I'm gonna do it until my leg gets better or i completely desteoy it and need surgery lol.

Today it looks exactly the same as it did yesterday and my range of motion Is there, but it's tight because of the inflammation. The more I move around the more it loosens up. No pain today though. The spot that showed the bone chip on the X-ray, It's still sore to the touch but that's always sort of sore to the touch and it has been for years. I usually only notice it when I'm kneeling down painting baseboard or banging my girl from behind lol. I usually put a pillow under that knee Or I do it in the captain morgan pose with one knee up lol
 
And if any of those guys do respond, Here's what we're looking at gentlemen. Dont Look too harder you'll go blind. The visual appearance of it looks way worse than it feels. Invalid Link Removed

But all I'm wondering is if I can add powdered tumoric to an already existing td product. Or do I need to make it from scratch, or purchase some already made. Just looking for ways to reduce inflammation while I rest the leg. Outside of maybe a forty five minute gym session two times a week there will be lots of icing elevating restingOutside of maybe a 45 minute gym session 2 times a week there will be lots of icing elevating resting.

You could add regular curcumin to a td but I doubt you'd see much of anything from it other than an orangish yellowish staining mess, because regular curcumin isn't the best candidate for a td and it stains terribly.

The reason that XPG does CurcuPrime Gel is that CurcuPrime is a branded ingredient form of curcumin from NNB Nutrition, the same company that owns MitoBurn, and CurcuPrime is Tetrahydrocurcumin, which is much more well suited for td application and it is white, so there is no staining.

I am going to say this under the preface of “I am an idiot 💯”. I’d have drained that by now. Again, I am a self proclaimed meatball w ZERO medical background. I’d also take a cheese grater to poison ivy rash b4 calamine lotion.
 
Scott Mendelson showed me his homemade Curcumin topical he always applied to his surgically-shortened ankle (terrible car accident) back in 2017. He swore by it, and it was a huge staining mess.

So when Apex came out with Helios, I tried it and it really lowers inflammation locally for sure. But it’s oily and never dries so I always have to wrap wherever I apply it, huge hassle.

Then XPG made Curcuprime and it works just as well but is a WAY better carrier. Better smell, not oily, actually dries. Just much more user friendly.
 
Dante Trudel had a post on training legs for masters that has served me well in the winter.

Put your warm cream (I like McTarnahan’s Blue Magic/Heat) on your knees. Then your leggings on over your undies. Then take an old pair of sweats and cut them into shorts so they hang just at the knee & add those. Lastly, add a full pair of sweats over the top.

When you get to the gym, you can slip the over sweats off, add knee sleeves over the leggings, then pull your big sweats back on.

They also make neoprene shorts as well if you want it warmer than the sweatshorts provide, Rehband and Cerberus.
 
Damn dude thst knee is effed up!! Grab a 3cc syringe and drain that b!tch. It doesn't even look like it was training induced, it looks like you got bit by something.
 
I've been in the market for some neoprene shorts, definitely need to step up my "stay warm" routine this winter.

Slingshot makes a neoprene brief, like cut to cover all the low back and put a belt over it, just like a multiply squat brief - not like a pair of shorts. These are not going to be WOD friendly, but more supportive specifically for squats & deadlifts. The other two are just about warmth & enhanced proprioception.

@Smont I know you already have sleep issues but have you noticed anymore scince you've upped your doses?
Nope, everything is the same sleep wise. Im actually really calm and peaceful lately. Maybe even a bit depressed but im bad with seasonal depression. New years makes me depressed. Always does. I been napping after dinner, back to bed around 1030 and up at 430.

So 1-1.5 hr nap and 5-6 hr nights for 6-7.5 total hrs. On the days I'm not training in the morning. I just kind of lounge around for an extra two hours
 
Saw some videos of medical professionals draining water on the knee. Some of them literly sterilized the area and just stuck a needle tip witj no syringe attached and let the fluid pour out. Dosent seem like rocket science lol. Now im tempted. Il wait till i gp back and talk to the doc first.

Swelling is down a bit today. Definately not gone tho
 
Saw some videos of medical professionals draining water on the knee. Some of them literly sterilized the area and just stuck a needle tip witj no syringe attached and let the fluid pour out. Dosent seem like rocket science lol. Now im tempted. Il wait till i gp back and talk to the doc first.

I had my knee drained about 30 years ago and the dr stuck the needle underneath my knee cap and suctioned it out with the syringe. No numbing and it hurt like hell. Maybe that’s an old way of doing it.

Started week 4 so the mast e and eq are in full effect by now and starting around last Friday all od a sudden I was wide awake after 5.5 hours. Scince then I haven't gotten more than 6 hours. Getting between 7 and 8 for the last month was so nice. Haven't changed anything so I'm thinking now that everything is in my system its gotta have something to do with it. Also I won't be increasing my doses yet( I know you're shocked lol ) I've been sick at 220 for the last 2 weeks. I'm waking up full and vascular so I know I need to eat more. One of my worst night mares has come true. 2 months ago I would've been all over that but adding a 7th meal is gonna get brutal. Maybe I'll do a shake but just add stuff to make it calorie dense

Any idea how accurate the fitting is for them? I’d hate to buy based on my waist from the size charts and then they don’t fit.

With neoprene I always size up when in doubt, because I want to be able to wear it for hours potentially. It’s got to fit over the biggest part of you, even if it’s not as tight elsewhere. That’s why you want the old Rehbands with the drawstring, or the Cerberus ones. Not sure on the new style Rehbands without the string.

Amazon has a really forgiving size return policy though.

Why add a 7th meal? You can just add more calories to your other meals. 4 meals or 8 meals dont reqlly make a difference and i dobt you need over 5000cal right now. I dont quite understand why you think you have to eat 6 or 7 times a day. Thats really just a stratagy adopted because guys had a hard time squeezing 5000+ cal into 3 or 4 meals and not being full and bloated.

Dm me your diet where its at right now. Something seems off to me if your eating that much you need to add a 7th meal.
