Oh yeah that sounds good too!I would love to get to the point where we could do some limited edition flavors. I love white chocolate peppermint so I would love that.
I also had thought about a strawberry white chocolate flavor.

Wow that's pretty crazy. In the UK you get tubs from ghosts own website for £28. I see that ghost currently cannot deliver to the EU from their UK warehouse (stupid Brexit). So how much would it cost me personally to purchase a tub then "gift" it to you? Or can I not do that because it's technically food?Havent been able to find it in Sweden to a price that is reasonable. I found it for 999 SEK (+ shipping and customs) which is roughly 90 USD and im not paying that haha.
Thats incredible kind of you to offer. But it would require you to fill out customs papers and all kinds of bullshit. Brexit was really a bum deal of both the UK and EU.Wow that's pretty crazy. Pretty excited that this is happening! What will be the grams of protein content?I wanted to give an update on the protein project - and a group of us have been discussing it in a different thread, so I'm copying and posting a couple things into this in order to create a summary update and also so that conversation can continue here in this thread for anyone interested.
SNS Proteins:
There will be 2 types:
They will be a true 2 lb. size.
- Whey Protein Isolate (WPI)
- Whey Protein Isolate/Micellar Casein Blend (Zero Carb)
The upcoming proteins will be a true 2 lb. size - it used to be that 2 lb. was a standard size in protein but when protein prices went up, a lot of brands cut back on the number of servings to help offset that, so what you wound up seeing was that a lot of people assumed that the size container that used to be identified as a standard 2 lb. size really became only 1.38, 1.5 lb., etc.
Pricing:
I'm not 100% sure on the price yet, but it will be a great price for a top quality WPI and WPI/Micellar Casein blend.
One issue when determining the pricing is that no matter how great of a price we give on a product, a lot of people always want to see a big discount off of it; and the better the make the everyday price, the lesser discounts that allows us to do. So that's something internally I'm having to try to figure out on how to price the protein.
I do plan on offering some multi-pack options for the protein in order to hopefully get it selling fast - because the goal is for every single dollar of profit from the proteins to go right back into being able to offer more great tasting flavors.
Flavor Samples - How They Taste:
From the samples, it is versatile and just how I wanted it - not too thick, not too thin.
I tried:
We only had a limited number of samples for me to try as I give them out to others to try too - and usually to people that are hard to please, like females that normally wouldn't like the taste of protein for example.
- 1 scoop in 8 ounces of water - tasted great for standards of protein in water
- 2 scoops in 8 ounces of water - tasted better and little thicker, but not too thick
- 1 scoop in 8 ounces of Almond Milk - tasted great.
- 2 scoops in 8 ounces of Almond Milk - tasted great and not too thick, not too thin
If I had to sum it up, I would say that flavor wise:
What I really liked the most about them is that they are all flavors that I could drink as many per day as I needed to and not get tired of - and that was the key for me with the first few flavors.
- WPI - Vanilla - Reminds me of a Vanilla Frosty from Wendy's.
- WPI - Chocolate - Reminds me of a Chocolate Frosty from Wendy's.
- WPI/Micellar - Vanilla - Reminds me of the Labrada Lean Body RTD's, which I love. It could be named Vanilla Ice Cream or if we wanted to, we could name it Vanilla Cupcake as it has a good hint of a sweetness to it.
- WPI/Micellar - Chocolate - Tastes exactly like Fairlife Chocolate Milk.
I have some proteins that I love the taste of, but I couldn't drink 3 or 4 per day of for long without getting tired of.
The biggest testament to these is probably to say that I have a shelf full of protein so I keep a lot on hand to choose from, and I found myself craving these flavors after I was done with the samples.
Pretty excited that this is happening! What will be the grams of protein content?
Not anything exotic but I do enjoy cookies and cream flavors. I usually keep a chocolate and then cookI felt that it was very important to start off with flavors that people would really like and not get tired of - that's why the first flavors of both types will be Chocolate and Vanilla flavors.
The goal of the protein project is to put every dollar of profit back into adding more flavors in order to provide everyone with a great variety of flavors that they will enjoy and look forward to drinking.
I'm not sure what the next flavors will be - there are several that I want to do, but not sure in what sequence.
I know I want to do a Mint Chocolate Chip flavor similar to Baskin Robbins Ice Cream. Most protein flavors are more like Chocolate Mint and much heavier on the chocolate side, I want to do one that is heavier on the mint that has a chocolate accent flavor like that ice cream.
I've thought about a regular Strawberry, but regular Strawberry doesn't sell that well for brands anymore. Someone suggested trying to do a Strawberry that tastes like a Wendy's Frosty and I loved those, so that's a definite thought. I had also thought about maybe doing a Strawberry Shortcake or Strawberry White Chocolate flavor.
I have to be careful with the protein thing because there are so many flavors I want to do, but I have to be smart and look at it business wise, I'd like to eventually have about 6 under each type but anymore than that really isn't a good business decision most of the time.
The top of my personal wish list is actually a Key Lime Pie flavor.
I would love to hear everyone's thoughts as to what they would like to see in upcoming flavors.
Thank you. I'm glad - this is a project I'm very excited about but also nervous about as its a big step for us as a company.
WPI - 25 grams per scoop
WPI/Micellar Blend - 22 grams per scoop
Not anything exotic but I do enjoy cookies and cream flavors. I usually keep a chocolate and then cook
perfect
I hope it happens
Ok @sns8778….what other flavors are looking at next? It sounds like you’ve found a good flavor compound with your vanilla and chocolate samples.
Chocolate fairlife is my jam! Just about everyone i know thinks fairlife has the best chocolate milk too. I have my own personal wish list, but I'd love to hear other peoples opinions. What's yours?
My personal ones I really want to do is a mint chocolate chip like Baskin Robbins ice cream and a Key Lime Pie flavor.
The vanilla is so good, it has me thinking of doing a Chocolate chip flavor with the vanilla as the base.
I also really want to do a Cheesecake flavor - not sure if it will be Blueberry Cheesecake, Strawberry Cheesecake, Raspberry Cheesecake, or regular Cheesecake.
Those aren't necessarily the ones that will come next - those are just ones I really want do personally.
Oh, and some type of Strawberry - probably either Strawberry White Chocolate or Strawberry Shortcake.
I assume those would be the same chips in the mint chocolate chip. I would be more down for the regular vanilla chocolate chip than a cookies and cream personally. However one cool thing about cookies and cream is you can just remove the bits, add red food coloring and call it Red Velvet Cake without skipping a beat.I definitely want to do a Cookies & Cream flavor.
What I want to do, and this is challenging bc it requires a large MOQ bc of the cookie pieces - is I want to offer one with inclusions like some brands do, but I want to use gluten free inclusions.
I have a gluten allergy myself, so I know how it feels to be basically excluded from being able to try things I want to try, so I really to be able to offer a CNC that has gluten free cookie pieces in it. The challenge there is that gluten free cookie pieces like that aren't available from any of the traditional protein inclusion suppliers so its a challenge to do it and will require a much higher than normal run size to get it done. I've been working trying to get it worked out with the gluten free cookie pieces for this for months now.
Something else I thought about, different, but similar thought process is that our Vanilla is so good, it made me think it would be awesome with chocolate chips in it, so that got me thinking about a Chocolate chip flavor.
Out of the cheesecake the raspberry sounds like the best option to me. Unless you use a strong blueberry or strawberry the flavor may not hold up against the cheesecake background. Raspberry is a little more tart and may show through more. However all 3 sound awesome. The Key Lime Pie sounds so awesome and if you could find graham cracker flavored add ins to drop into it OMFG!!! That would be good!I have my own personal wish list, but I'd love to hear other peoples opinions. What's yours?

Il be stocking yp on that. Whey/casien is my prefrence too when im on the road. I feel more comfortable having the mixture. Knowing it might be 6+ hours before I see food again lolI love Chocolate Fairlife too. I was very, very pleased at how close the protein tastes to it.
For flavor samples, I had given some to people that generally wouldn't like protein flavors - like females for example. And one lady had let her son try it, who is 10 and he said it tasted like his chocolate milk (Fairlife) and she's told me that he's asked her ever since when she can buy him some.
I’d like a cookies and cream and/or a fruity cereal like fruit loops. Strawberry cheesecake sounds good and so does key lime pie.
I know you mentioned a while back on the cookies and cream of making it with gluten free cookie pieces. I’d be fine with that too. I do have a sensitivity to gluten.
Really looking forward to the first release!
Redcon has a protein under their MRE Light line with a flavor called Oatmeal Chocolate Chip that is AMAZING. If you can clone that flavor that would be the bees knees!!
Hey Steve, do you have a mailing list? I'd love to get a random spam notification when you have the protein for sure in stock (although I'll probably see it here anyways)

Oh snap, like real chocolate shavings? Of course it would have to be dark chocolate right? Isn't that what they use in most mint chocolate chip? I can't really remember what baskin robins Mint Chocolate Chip tastes like, but I love Blue Bell Mint Chocolate Chip, and Dreyer's makes a good minty flavored one even though I don't think they make the best ice cream that flavor is on point! Not sure - I thought about using Chocolate Chips in the Mint Chocolate Chip or they also have chocolate shavings that you can use, and those are more similar to what's in the Baskin Robbins ice cream. I would probably get samples done both ways and see which way we like best.
I like the idea of a regular Vanilla Chocolate Chip myself, but also like the idea of a Cookies and Cream.
I think we could make the cheesecake flavor work with any of those flavors. I even thought about just a regular cheesecake and then people could mix it with a variety of flavors, but some may find that boring.
There actually are gluten free graham cracker add ins that could be used in the Key Lime Pie.
Every time I see this it makes me think of this. One thing I have been doing lately I mentioned it in my log, but I will bring it up here. I have been combining (I use milk) chocolate protein and then I throw 2.5 scoops of your creatine hci the pink grapefruit flavor. It’s like a citrus chocolate that reminds me of a malted shake. It has become my favorite flavor![]()
It really kinda is, not overpowering thoughEvery time I see this it makes me think of this.

I am unsure if this has been mentioned already:
Regarding flavors: Once you have your core established people really seem to flock to the "Limited Edition" "Seasonal Flavors." I think a new flavor always attracts the type of customer who treats their supplements(mainly pre's and protein) like movies/books, meaning they always want something fresh/new "unread." If you combine this with the built in "scarcity" of a limited ed. seasonal flavor people don't even hesitate.
Regarding the pricing: I think it's a damned if you do damned if you don't. Some folks like the "big discount" some prefer the EDLP. I personally am an EDLP guy as when you need it you need it with protein and these days not everyone has the extra money to stock up when a sale hits.
I do know, and I am sure you do as well Steve, that many brands have exceptions to their proteins when doing sales at the wholesale level or the sales are larger buy-in required, ie. 11+1 vs 4+1 on say aminos. I know a very well known brand had their value whey complete excluded from the BF discount tiers this year, it is what it is.
Which ever whey you go, hehe, the pricing will be more than fair for the quality I am sure.
The vanilla chocolate chip and key lime sound great. Vanilla is what I always have on hand. Mint chocolate chip and cookies and cream I switch between.
This is my thought process too. Now my question is, do you actually see this in the numbers throughout the year or is it just that the people who want better deals on the holidays are whining louder than the people who enjoy good daily prices are praising? I guess that would be kind of hard to track monetarily.I agree. After the first basic ones, most of the additional ones will be treated as limited edition flavors and will stay or go based off of how well they sell.
I'm an every day low price guy myself - but I do see more and more people will overpay for something just bc it has a big discount %. I'm one of those people that is more likely to think "oh, you can give me 50% off? So basically you're screwing me all the time on price if you can do that." haha
Yes, indeed. My vote is an orange Creamsicle.
If your flavors taste as you say, that will be amazing. I really haven't found a straight vanilla that I like. But I haven't expanded because I know what I like and will just repeat protein flavors. I will definitely buy one of each though and test them out.
My vote is an orange Creamsicle. And I have recently really enjoyed Strawberry flavor. Strawberry cheesecake sounds amazing. It's refreshing. So other refreshing fruity flavors would get my vote. Not Key Lime though. I can't buy that haha
As weird as it souns, Allmax had a bubblegum ice cream flavor on their Hexapro that always made me curious
Bubble gum ice cream was the sh*t when I was a kid… so good
Sort of… but it actually did taste more like bubble gum (that pink tutti-frutti “regular” kind of bubble gum). Some ice cream brands would even add bubble pieces to itThat is interesting. That's one I would have never thought of. Did it taste similar to a Cotton Candy flavor?
Sort of… but it actually did taste more like bubble gum (that pink tutti-frutti “regular” kind of bubble gum). Some ice cream brands would even add bubble pieces to it
Last brands I remember making bubble gum ice cream were the Walmart brand and Baskin Robbins… but didn’t try those
Question about whey in general. Being that it gets absorbed so quickly compared to food, how beneficial is whey outside pre and post workout?
I'm always afraid to take extra servings because I think it's passing through the body too quickly to be utilized.
And as for what I would want in a whey, the solubility in milk is hugely important. And if Leucine peptides actually do anything that might be good.
Pistachio is also a great flavor to make protein ice creamNot sure if mentioned yet, but I recommend a pistachio flavor. Not only is this just a good flavor many like, but it's a great flavor to make pancakes with.
