Yes, there will be one more but its not one of those.

Cardiovascular Support XT won't be too far out I don't think.

The powdered sleep product formula is finalized (actually has been for a long time) and we had flavor samples done at a previous cm but we had to change places on flavored powders bc the lead times had become terrible. We had shelved the idea for awhile and are in the process of working on flavor samples again now.

The guy support product formula is pretty much finalized; I've just talked about in the past how sometimes there is a lot involved in getting everything finalized for a product that has a lot of branded ingredients and that's the phase we're in. Label artwork is done; just having to get branded ingredient sign offs. To anyone reading that doesn't understand why this may be an issue - it isn't with ingredients that don't compete with each other, but when they're all in one category together, its like trying to get a company to okay using their ingredient in the same product as their main competitor haha.

Sour Watermelon.

I tell you the Ghost energy drink and preworkout in that flavor my finance and i love.
I would consider that.

We had actually been thinking of doing a watermelon flavor in Focus XT.

It's funny bc I hate watermelon flavor myself, so I'm never one to judge that flavor. But we got in a watermelon flavor and a watermelon lime sample. The watermelon was good to be watermelon and everyone that likes watermelon in general loved it. But the watermelon lime sample is honestly the only watermelon flavored anything that I could actually drink a full serving of. It was so good that some of the female employees (ie... hardest to please with flavors) liked it so much that they were going on and on over who got to drink the rest of the samples. That was pretty funny.

I’m like you, I almost never like watermelon, but grape limeade focus was so good I could see watermelon lime being similarly awesome.

Thanks for posting.

I want to add on to your post to prevent some confusion with people and hopefully help them understand this better:
  • Magtein is a branded version of Magnesium L-Threonate.
  • 400 mg. Magtein per capsule does NOT equal 400 mg. of Magnesium.
  • It takes 2,000 mg. Magtein to equal 144 mg. of actual elemental Magnesium.
  • It takes at least 3 capsules size '00' capsules or 4 size '0' capsules to provide 2,000 mg. Magtein.
So, in this study when it says that the daily dosage was 2 capsules in the morning and 2 capsules in the evening before sleep and then says that there was 400 mg. per capsules of Magnesium L-Threonate (Magtein), it's important for people to realize that this is not saying that there is 400 mg. of actual magnesium (elemental) per capsule.

It's also interesting to me that their math doesn't add up in the way they presented it in the study that you linked to, which was probably an honest mistake on their end.

The full copy and paste of the last line of the materials and method section says:
"MagteinPS and placebo (starch) specification: 0.504 g/capsule, recommended dose was 2 g/person/day. Daily dosage was 2 capsules in the morning and 2 capsules in the evening before sleep."

If you look above it, and you had posted this part, they say that there is 400 mg. per capsule, but it says that the dosage was 2 capsules twice per day so that would be 4 caps per day. 4 capsules x 400 = 1,600 mg. But then it says in the same sentence that the recommended dose was 2 grams per person per day. So, something is mathematically off.
I'm so glad you posted this and not only are you a 100% correct you also saved me typing this all up lol because I am so used to having to explain this to my keto peeps that they just don't understand what they're buying. With not only magnesium but sodium and potassium as well. IMHO 99% of consumers don't know how to figure out the elemental amount of an ingredient.

Brands on Amazon take advantage of the consumers lack of knowledge in this area.

Magnesium L-threonate is something like 7% elemental magnesium so takes a **** load of powder to get the proper dosage.

For those wondering (besides Steve as he knows this more than anyone) when a lable reads like this:

Magnesium L-threonate (Magtein): 400 mg.

= That means 28mg elemental magnesium.

If it says Magnesium *as Magnesium l-threonate)

= That means something like 5700mg so we talking like 5 - 6 capsules.

Can also read "Magnesium (from 5700 mg Magtein magnesium L-threonate).

Another example is magnesium Glycinate. On average 2000+mg would = 400mg actual magnesium. Magnesium Glycinate I've seen vary from 18% to 20% elemental magnesium.

I use magnesium L-threonate (along with tons of other stuff) as part of my post concussion supp protocol and it's very good stuff but lots of caps needed per serving.

I found a good example of a label showing magnesium L-threonate:

Yep, very important for everyone to recognize the difference between elemental magnesium and when it’s bonded.

I see the same confusion with Magnesium Glycinate.

Magtein is generally not a standalone magnesium supplement (for those looking to get the full 400mg of elemental magnesium).

But, in the context of a diet with diverse fruit and veggies, getting only a small amount of elemental magnesium via Magtein shouldn’t be a concern. If you’re actually deficient in magnesium and your diet is low in the mineral, then it’s certainly possible Magtein would not be the route to go.

On a side note (last one de-railing this thread Steve :)), I found it very helpful to track my micronutrients for 1-2 weeks to see where I may be missing out.

I used the RDA % for each vitamin and mineral as a baseline to see where I may be deficient. I know RDA is far from perfect, but still a good baseline. Using magnesium as an example, 420mg is the RDA for me. It’ll be different based on age and sex.

So for me, I found I typically consumed ~350-450mg magnesium from my diet. I still love Mag Glycinate before bed, but it was nice to see that I’d probably be fine to switch to just glycine pre-bed for sleep benefits and probably wouldn’t be deficient in magnesium.

At the time, I was eating a lot of beans and pumpkin seeds, so that boosted my magnesium amount. 1-2 weeks probably wasn’t a sufficient time period, but still a fun little experiment

It was surprisingly good and as soon as we get the other flavors restocked (hoping most in January and some in February) then we most likely will move forward with Watermelon Lime flavor on it.

Even not liking watermelon, it was so good that it has me thinking it may be a good option for some other products.

If all goes well, 2023 will have us releasing several flavored products throughout the year. We just have to get all of the ones that we already have back in stock first. And its tempting to add the Watermelon Lime flavor to some of them.

I love sour flavors and a sour watermelon would be possible in some of the upcoming flavored powders next year. I know we have plans for sour peach flavors and also sour blue raspberry flavors. For watermelon, we have plans for basic watermelon and watermelon lime.

With Focus XT, since we do plan on a Watermelon &/or Watermelon Lime, I doubt we would do a Sour Watermelon in that, but when we release the other ones, I'll tell everyone a trick of how to make it sour themselves if that's what they prefer.

We will have a New Years sale. We may do something for Christmas, but I'm not 100% sure yet. We'll most likely do something but it may not be the % off the entire site deals.

And thank you, I'm hoping to have Watermelon and/or Watermelon Lime out in spring; we just have to get restocked on existing flavors first.

Since we have a pretty good flavor discussion going, I would like to ask everyone to throw out flavor ideas in general that they would like to see for upcoming products.

If all goes well, we hope to be restocked on most flavors of our flavored powder products in January and February and then will launch some new flavors in Focus XT.

Throughout 2023, if all goes well, we have quite a few flavored powder products that we hope to release between SNS, CEL, and Muscle Addiction. The goal with each new product release will be able to offer it in 2 to 3 flavors to start and we may add additional flavors if the demand grows for the products.

People are also welcome to give me product ideas that they'd like to see us come out with.

Here are some flavors in general that I'm thinking of using in certain thing:
  • Blue Raspberry (Sour)
  • Black Cherry Limeade
  • Blackberry Mojito
  • Blackberry Mojito (Sour)
  • Grape Bubblegum
  • Grape Limeade
  • Jawbreaker
  • Key Lime Pie
  • Lemon Lime (Tart/Sour)
  • Peach Rings/Sour Peach Candy
  • Pina Colada
  • Pink Grapefruit
  • Rocket Pop
  • Snow Cone
  • Sour Green Apple
  • Strawberry Mint Tea
  • Tiger's Blood (typically watermelon, strawberry, hint of coconut)
  • Watermelon
  • Watermelon Lime
I'm sure there's some I'm forgetting right off. But I would love to hear everyone's input in general on what they think of some of these flavors and any other suggestions as well.

The blackberry mojito, sweet or sour, sounds great.

The strawberry mint tea also sounds really refreshing, like it could be surprisingly good - that one is a really interesting wild card I would love to try some day.

I enjoy sour lime, but also love key lime pie, so whether that was made sweet or sour I’m sure it would be awesome. Bang actually really nailed the sweet version of that flavor.

I don’t want to steal your trick, but I know vitamin C is pretty good for making things sour. Get some bulk powder and throw it in anything. Citrulline malate is pretty for this as well. I think citric acid would probably be the most efficient, but I haven’t tried that yet.

If you buy lemon juice at the grocery, a little squeeze of that works terrific.

I have been taking a coriander extract standardized for linalool and it has been very effective for relaxing, reducing stress and sleep. I would like to see more options with this ingredient. Either a stand alone product or part of a more comprehensive formula for relaxing.

Similarly, Silexan lavender oil would be a solid addition to the SNS line

The reason that you don't see this offered by many brands is that its a liquid so it would require being in a softgel and that limits what else a company could use with it or what formulas it could be included in.

I love Blackberry Mojito flavor and I love it with sour mixed in.

One of my favorite sweet treats is Kona Ice and my favorite flavor is Blackberry Mojito and have them put sour on top of it haha.

The upcoming Sleep Assist XT, we had already done flavor samples of it at one cm but we had to change up cm's on flavored powders, and at the original place, the Strawberry Mint Tea was fantastic so I'm hoping that we'll be able to get it tasting as good at the place we're going to be using to run it. We're waiting on flavor samples for it now.

I love Key Lime Pie flavor. Bang did a good job for people that want the sweet version of it but I prefer the sour/tart. I was so excited when Bang did that flavor but after trying it, I can't drink but so many of them without getting tired of it.

Since you mentioned Key Lime Pie, I'll go ahead and confirm that we have a flavored product coming out in Q1 that will be Key Lime Pie flavor but its definitely on the more tart side.

Those were the tricks, so not worries at all.

Straight citric acid is tricky to get right so I definitely would suggest Citrulline Malate or Vitamin C Powder.

I totally know what you mean about Bang’s sweet version. I am a big sweets guy, but it still is a flavor you can only do so much of; a sour version makes more sense for most supplements that you intend for routine use IMHO. It’s way easy for me to drink lemon every other day at 5:30am preWO than peach, for example.

Is the CEL high-stim pre going to have Y in it? Not sure if you’re ready to leak any info, so no pressure. Just wondering!

Thank you.

We have a lot of cool things coming out in 2023 if all goes well, and I think that after some of them, we'll have pretty much every major category in sports nutrition and general health and wellness (condition specific) covered.

I think a poll to see what people would be most looking forward to would be a cool idea, but it wouldn't really work in terms of making decisions off of it as to what to move forward on first because there are so many things involved with coming out with new products. If a company is just going to pick one product from a list or wait to start another product until after that one is out, that type of things work, but if planning on bringing out multiple things and they're in the works at the same time, its almost impossible to say which one will be first because there can be so many things that factor into it - raw material availability, branded ingredient agreements, flavor sampling, lead times on flavors, etc.

I thought about doing a post or a thread or starting the 2023 version of this thread off by talking about what things are in the works and are pretty much definite, what things are maybe's, etc.

The reason that I hadn't already is one of the same reason's that I've been coming on here and posting less and that's that I feel like I get constantly beat to death for ETA's and I'm tired of people making hurtful and hateful remarks over out of stocks. I think that a lot of people overlook that ETA stands for ESTIMATED time of arrival and that estimated is the key word there.

I may try to do a post or thread in the next few days and just specifically say that I'm not going to answer any questions about ETA's on them other than what quarter of next year I would estimate that they would be out.

I absolutely agree - I love sweets but I have a hard time drinking something overly sweet in the same flavor every day.

We do have a peach flavor planned in one or more products but it will be more like a sour peach rings flavor. I'm leaning toward that flavor for a new flavor of Caffeine Free Focus XT bc the flavor samples were fantastic.

I'm leaning toward the CEL high stim having Alpha Yohimbine in it but not regular Yohimbine.

Market wide, most of the best selling compliant stimulant based pre's have Yohimbine or Alpha Yohimbine in them and I think that most people that think they don't like Alpha Yohimbine have never tried legit Alpha Yohimbine and like it once they've tried ours.

What are your thoughts?

I vote for no Y in the CEL high stim but looking forward to hearing more about this
We will not have Yohimbine in it but most likely will have Alpha Yohimbine in it.

Most of the popular compliant high stim pre's have either Yohimbine or Alpha Yohimbine in them, and I've found that most people that think they don't like Alpha Yohimbine have never tried legit Alpha Yohimbine and love ours when they try it.

As for the product itself, it will be a high stim pre-workout that will provide great pumps but the primary focus will be on it being a fast acting, long lasting high energy pre-workout.

I want to make 3 important distinctions though so that people don't get the wrong ideas:
1) Compliance - the product will only use compliant active ingredients.
2) Clean Energy - the product will focus on clean energy and precise combinations of active ingredients for the best results. It will not be a kitchen sink approach that some companies use just throwing in stims on top of more stims.
3) Responsible & Sane Dosing - the product will be very strong BUT you will never see a product from us that does some of the crazy and outlandish caffeine dosing that you see in some products. The caffeine content will be what I consider high and there will be some very unique caffeine sources in it, but it won't be one of the crazy 600/700 mg. caffeine type things.

I just had a thought and it may be something I consider, in that if we do two flavors, I may do 2 flavors with Alpha Yohimbine and 1 flavor without Alpha Yohimbine for the people that don't want it in there.

Well, C4 Ultimate does well in sales. I’m not sure what else is using it that sells hot, not that that’s a high-stim preWO per se. Most high stim pres I’m aware of with it are not compliant types.

I know I absolutely cannot use even 1mg AY and train productively, any amount of any Y variation is too much (including SNS A-Y). I’m not going to tell you don’t make it just because I can’t use it, but I do think a lot of people skip a lot of pres now that use any Y variants.

I used half a scoop of Vicious Labs Juice Daddy this morning, and I think that was a great high-stim formula (RIP). Something focusing primarily on stimulant, raising choline, nootropic to a lesser extent - ingredients that demand the mind to be present & be able to dig in deep. So there needs to be a euphoric component ideally, not so much a body stimulation (which is how Y feels, and why it’s useful for sexual function).

I almost feel like Y belongs more in a variant of a pump-focused product, or moderate stim, due to the bloodflow component.

So there needs to be a euphoric component ideally, not so much a body stimulation (which is how Y feels, and why it’s useful for sexual function).

I almost feel like Y belongs more in a variant of a pump-focused product, or moderate stim, due to the bloodflow component.
I had thought about if we do use Alpha Yohimbine in the product that we may do one flavor it without it and that way people that don't want it in there have an option.

Super Swole powder will be back out either before or around the same time as the high stim one and will be a great option for people that want to a stimulant free option.

And then I'm thinking of doing more of a premium regular type pre-workout under SNS, CEL, or both that likely wouldn't have any type of Yohimbine in there for people to choose from as well.

If it’s not a huge risk to allocate a single flavor without it, I think that’s a very cool move - you’ll literally be able to see what really sells best. Just don’t pick a flavor like Black Licorice

If it doesn’t sell but the Y version does well, you could discontinue the y-free flavor/version after the first batch.

Ya I tend to just avoid anything with Y or AY in it not because I think it is a bad ingredient but I would rather just add it in on my own as needed. I've avoided a few formulas due to this, but also admit I likely am not the target audience anyways.

I’m the same way. I hate Y and can handle AY but don’t care to much for it often. I can add it when wanted.

I think that we'll likely just start off with one flavor with it and one flavor without it.

It's one of those situations where what we get asked for here is completely different than what we get asked for outside of here sometimes.

No Black Licorice? Okay, okay, red licorice? Haha.

The flavors I'm leaning toward for that project in general are the best 3 out of 5 of:
  • Grape Blue Raspberry
  • Pina Colada
  • Rainbow Unicorn
  • Sour Peach Rings
  • Jawbreaker
Out of those, I probably wouldn't do Pina Colada as the Alpha Yohimbine free one bc that's a flavor that some people love but some people hate anyway.

Well, I was hoping for red licorice & sauerkraut, but I guess I’d settle. Can’t have everything perfect.

I’ll just add my own sauerkraut.

You don’t have to mind me I know sometimes what I prefer isn’t what is best for the majority. I will definitely check it out when released anyways though.

I appreciate that. I'm the same way in that sometimes what I would like myself may not be the best way to do it in terms of overall sales.

I'm leaning towards doing one flavor without it, but my only worry is that confusing people that don't understand all of the ingredients. But I'm going to try to think of a way to do it.

I don't have time to type out a super long detailed reply at the moment, but I wanted to say thank you for posting that and also that it resembles a formula that I was working on last week. Like very very similar and I was second guessing myself on some things in it, so I appreciate you posting that.

I will say that I doubt we would do anything with NMN until the FDA clarifies their stance on it after them having recently warned companies about it and NR is a patented ingredient of Chromadex.

Thoughts on Spermidine and Astragaloside IV in a formula like that? I was debating on including one or both but Astragaloside IV is crazy expensive and I was considering just doing that as a standalone.

If you're really interested in products and formulas like this, you're welcome to pm me and I'll give you my email address.
