Training log revamp ROUND 3 lol

Me too, you saw what happened after I botched that boxing cut back in June. It was 6 weeks of cheat meals. Pop-Tarts, cookies and pizza.

I went straight iifym today and only counted calories.

Protein bar and coffee

2 deli meat sandwichs and a Greek yogurt cup

1/2lb cheeseburger, 1 hotdog and some steak fries. Small ice cream cone.

2300 so far and I'm still starving. I gotta make these last 700 count
Yeah I’d be a mess if I didn’t count calories.😜

Yeah I just want to hold my morning weight between 265-268 right now and I was 267.4 the other morning so I pulled back a tad yesterday because I’m not trying to bulk, just hold my leverages. Woke up 265.0. I freaking knew I should have had that second bowl of ice cream last night, but I didn’t want to overdo it! Now I gotta push again today.
 
Great weekend……my wife and I spent Saturday at my son and daughter-in-law’s house playing with our grandchildren, eating hot wings, watching football and UFC fights. And Sunday we rested and went to dinner and a movie.

Sounds like a good weekend. I find myself more and more satisfied with dinner and a movie as my "going out" lately.

And hot wings are always good.

How old are the grandkids, I obviously don't have any but now that I think about it, my kids are 14 and 16. It might not be that far away. Seeing how me and there mother were 18 and 21.😵😵😵 Oh boy lol. I'm praying I make 8-10 more years without being a grandpa
 
How's everyone's weekend so far
Man, my weekend has been top notch! Basically started Thursday night, I got to play goalie for hockey (I havent played in net for probably 7 or 8 years) and did a whole lot better than I had expected to, considering the rust. Then Saturday my wife and I spent the day at a local amusement park and hit every quality roller coaster they had. Sunday I had to fly solo at church because the kids were sick, but my gardner, his girlfriend, and their two friends all came to check out the chapel, because they've been looking to grow in their relationship with the Lord and learn more about the Bible. Got to play some more hockey Sunday night and had the whole family come out to watch and cheer on the team; the kids are always super cute and enthusiastic.

Today we have a nice quiet family get-together planned at the house, should be fun.

Oh, and my sprained ribs have finally healed up enough for me to get back to doing every set in my workouts again. Took 2 weeks to heal, which was how it usually goes when I get beat up at hockey or soccer, but those two weeks are miserable as I grimace just moving around and have to be very selective in my resistance training.
 
The weekend was great, lots of family fun, but man I am ready to come off blast! Everything has been fun, but it’s less so for me because I’m on the lethargy struggle bus no matter how much sleep I get. Lots of crap food to keep the weight up doesn’t help that any of course.

My toddler just blows me away how he is developing physically! Took him to the park yesterday and he’s climbing things that kids a year older than him have no chance on. It feels like our dedication to feeding him a wholesome diet is paying off.

Our youngest son has one little boy and he is 5. Our middle son has two boys and they are 4 & 8. We also have our adopted Grandson that is 14, he’s my bike riding buddy. And they are all boys through and through.
 
Glad everyone is having a good weekend. I went clamming yesterday and I'm doing absolutely nothing today. And that's about it for me lol. But I'm glad to see everyone having quality family time. If I can offer you any advice it's to keep up in that. I use to love going places with my dad when I was a kid, now in his old age he just drinks and talks about politics (which he doesn't even really understand) but I don't really enjoy that family time. My girl is a nightmare lately and my kids do nothing but fight and argue so I try to take them to do stuff separately. My son enjoys going to do stuff with me, my daughter not so much, but she is turning 16 this month, I guess that's normal right now lol
 
So work got cancelled today, we're driving piles for a bridge in the woods and the rain basically turned the work site into a mud pit.

Stopped by the gym to bullshit and talked with the guys about this upcoming event.

The bench is separate from the strongman and the strongman only has 3 events.
Axel deadlift for max reps
Crucifix hold for Max time
And log press. Apparently it's undecided whether the log press is going to be for Max reps at a set weight or if it's going to be a strength challenge for poundages.

198 is definitely the weight class as there's going to be weight classes for strongman as well.

So here's where I'm confused. The weight for Axel deadlift in my class is only going to be 185lbs for max reps. That seems super light. I was looking to lift heavy ****, not do a endurance contest.

But at the same time. Training for max reps and muscular endurance may carry over well into conditioning for down the road.

I'm gonna sit in on there workouts next week and see what I think. There's supposed to be a axelbar and log press getting delivered Thursday or Friday.

185 is a weight for reps you might see on a Logpress in the Novice division…

Idk I gotta find out more. There still figuring it out. I think there more focused on the fundraising part so there keeping it friendly and the rules not to strict, but there's some big mofos that train out this other gym, it's a strongman gym. I can't imagine there gonna waste there time on some of these lifts. Il be back there tonight and il ask some more questions

Can see why people move there just for that gym. Going out to dinner Friday and basically just eating whatever I wanted gave me skin splitting pumps I'm on a cruise right now but it felt like I was on 50mg of dbol. I know it was the food and being able to train on equipment I've never trained on before plus being in a true bodybuilding gym can really motivate you

If you been eating clean, a junk meal can really make for a good workout. Most of the year I'm locked in Monday through Friday, then Friday night and Saturday I eat what I want, have a awesome workout Sunday morning and then the rest of the day Sunday I meal prep while eating fairly light and get back on track.

I ate whatever I wanted this past weekend but I kept a eye on total calories. I'm expecting a good workout. I'm actually heading to the gym in about a half hour. I'm gonna pin 100mg of some Carnosine I bought on accident thinking I was getting Carnitine. Really wasn't paying attention. But it should make for a decent pre workout. Just don't know the dosage. I'm assuming it's gonna be between 100-200mg after talking to someone who name I won't mention unless they say they don't care. Il report back later on that.


On another note, I'm abandoning my original game plan, at least I think I am. I need a schedule these last 5 weeks or so.

I'm gonna crash the gym at 5, see what the strength training crew is doing and probably work with them from 5-6 and then whatever I got left il burn out on the bag or maybe spar depending on who's there.

I'm canceling the workout for the day, I got to the gym and it's not the class that's supposed to be there I don't even know what the heck it was and then there was a youth class going on in the boxing area and it was just a bunch of mumbo jumbo that wasn't on the schedule everything was all screwed up probably because yesterday was a holiday so I'm already super pissed off about that because I spent all day waiting for this 5:00 time block. Then I just drove over to planet fitness and I was going to make do and I pulled up and the parking lots packed and I'm just furious right now in general and I have a bad feeling that someone's going to do something inside I'm going to end up smacking someone in the face with a f****** weight plate so I just rather not put myself in that situation and I'm so pissed off I already know I'm going to have a terrible workout anyways especially cuz I just pinned a bunch of this crap in my shoulders for no reason lol, and wasted a bunch of my free and intra workout cocktail stuff. This might be the first time in my entire life I actually think I have roid rage if roid rage is real. Like I'm so pissed off right now I can't even put my finger on it and I feel absolutely ridiculous for being this mad LOL.

I thought about that but I already went to the boxing gym and that's where this all started at and I was already pissed off when I left there then I drove over to the other gym and was twice as pissed when I got there and I'm just not doing it. I don't want to be an aszhole to anybody that doesn't deserve it and that's kind of how I'm feeling right now so I'm going to chill and go pick up a couple things from the grocery store and make something nice to eat and drown my frustrations in food, and maybe dessert, or two desserts

I wouldn't care if it was actually pre workout, I don't really use pre workout. It's a concoction of 20gm eaa, 10gm creatine, 3 servings of a intra workout carb and atp ect. It's like 9 total servings of various supplements. I use this mix when I know my workouts are going to be like 2 hrs and have weights and cardio.

Not to mention I injected 50mg Carnosine in each delt. That was gonna be a little experiment. I wasted a lot of stuff and a lot of time today. That's the real reason I'm pissed. And I don't think I've got a workout in for like 5 days too

It’s more about the path/structure that training provides. It sure ain’t a $5 trophy or being a winner in a niche sport that people routinely confuse with something else.

So so true it's way more about the training and structure and discipline it's damn sure not about some local show. Without the structure my life woukd be a complete $hit show

Ya, I try telling my girl, imagine you spent all night on a work presentation and then someone threw it in the trash 5 minutes before the meeting. That's what it feels like.
 
I totally get that frustration. Especially once you get used to a home workout then go somewhere way too much is going on for you to get anything productive going and the frustration makes you downright aggressive. Hope things improve for you.
 
Oooohhhhh, I think things are going to get better, or worse, I guess it all depends on how you look at it. I think starting tomorrow I'm going to throw 50 mg of winstrol into the mix. It's a little earlier than I had planned for adding something but I feel like I need some motivation and I think that'll make me kick things into high gear. I'm going to keep running with 300 mg of testosterone, 300 mg of EQ and I'm going to do 50 mg of winstrol pre-workout 6 days a week. And the only reason I'm doing 6 days a week is so I can have 300 to meet my OCD needs. Probably going to need to slightly reduce calories or increase cardio too so the scale doesn't go up.

I'm also starting to wonder if this 300 mg of EQ is kind of worthless right now.

I'm not seeing any cardio or strength benifits from it, it's just a silent background player at this dose. I honestly don't see anything noticable from it
 
Well considering it takes like 2 months to spool up, it would depend on when you started the EQ. Also, the endurance effects will come from the increased RBC…which can’t begin escalating maximally until sufficient dosage is built up. Like, you want to start EQ months before you need the extra endurance. Even when you discontinue, those cells take a couple months to break down too.
 
Just making you hungry, I have heard a lot of people use it during bulks to help with appetite. Not sure if that is bro science or not though.

Yea that's what I always heard too..a dude at my gym prefers it during a cut instead of nandrolone because he says he gets all the nandrolone benefits without the water retention.

Some people do get hungry but it doesn't make me more hungry than I already am and I'm already pretty damn hungry LOL.

@Hyde it's been like 3 weeks I think, make il increase it to 450 and let it keep building, then I can have that built up for after the comp when I'm focusing more on cardio and dropping weight

**** dude, you know what, I've never put 2+2 together on this but I'm not gonna get any endurance boost from eq. The main reason I use to use it a lot back in the day was because it doesn't give me side effects, and that includes the RBC, it doesn't raise mine more then anything else does. Maybe if I ran the dose up significantly but I'm not interested in doing that at the moment. Il play with that some other time.

Just started my first legit cycle in several years, just test but I’m already wanting to add something to it here in a few weeks lol. I’ve completely written off 19-Nors after my stupidity of jumping head first into tren at a hefty dose and nearly going insane so unfortunately my options are now limited. I was looking at GH but it appears really to get any bodybuilding benefits you need to be more advanced than myself and run several IUs a day, which doesn’t seem cost effective when comparing to an oral. L carnitine always looks enticing to me as well, cheap and easy to run for long periods of time.


I was contemplating a 2IU a day dose for a few months to see if I noticed any skin benefit, trying to get rid of some old acne scarring finally.

I don't have gh and I can get certain peptides for free as my rep pay, also I'm not trying to build muscle per say or get bigger, I'm already 202 and my weight cap for October 15th is 198.

So if I'm gonna dish out the money for gh, I'm going to use it in a situation where I'm 100% dedicated to bodybuilding or physique goals.

I also used the cjc for like 2 weeks and stopped, I never started it back up. I don't see a reason to.
 
Had 3 spotters for this attempt too and it went up fairly quickly. I almost felt like I was gonna get stuck for a brief second onthe bottom but I exploded through it, no help unracking or racking
 
Back to the cjc dac. I have 3 more 2mg bottles, plenty of mk and some igf-1lr3. But I can't seem to justify using any of them for the goals in mind. I'm only training 3-4 days a week lately. I know I said I was gonna do 6 but I haven't been. Work has been rough but other then the fact my bodyfat is a little bit higher then I'd like, everything seems to be working fine and I think for once it's because I'm not busting ass in the gym.

My workouts are long but when I'm benching lately I'm taking 3-5min between working sets. Nothing has been to real failure lately, my cardio is a fraction of what it was but because I'm only doing 3-4 rounds on the bag and no running, no rope, no HIIT classes. Maybe I'm recovering better and that's why strength keeps going up on my bench.

All 3 spotters wanted me to attempt 365 today and I said no, progression is more then on track I'm not screwing it up.

My goal is still 360 competition style. But now I'm hoping to hit a 375 touch and go in the process
 
Tomorrow I think I'm gonna go train arms and just purely chasing the pump. Can't remember the last time I did that, or the last time I actually gave arms a day to itself

I don't see why not, unless your cutting and it's making you over eat then that could be a problem

If your already at 355 touch and go, and that wasn’t too difficult, I don’t see any reason you won’t hit 360 in competition.
You seem to thrive in competitive environments, and that’s how I was. I don’t know if just the adrenaline are just competing against others, but I loved the day of any competition.
What I had to be careful of was going too hard and fast early and fading at the end. Just stick to your game plan, and feel it out on comp. day and you might surprise yourself and have more in you than you thought.
 
Is everyone watching football after the gym this morning. Here on the west coast games start at 10am. Right when I start meal prepping for the work week
