So after flagging a bit yesterday I eased back into the lifting with some squats

4x8 at 264 - that’s relatively light for me and it felt easy enough but that was the aim for today.

Front foot elevated split squats and hip thrusts (moderate weight on both for 4x12) added some decent volume.

sleep is still questionable, I love tren but the way it gives just enough to be bareable but not enough sleep to be optimal is frustrating. I am finding I’m getting tired in the day the moment as well, unusual for me on orals, I’m assuming the reduce nighttime sleep is the reason but it’s nothing crazy.

appetite is gash at the moment, I’m forcing the calories in but it’s easy to maintain a deficit that’s for sure. Vascularity seemed to finally start picking up today as well.

shocked to hear about John meadows, never seen anyone say a bad word about the guy and his influence on the Fitness space is undeniable really. Hope he rests in peace.

Keep on keeping on fellas

So the whole point of logging imo is to be honest, obviously none of us are perfect all the time but at the same time human nature makes it hard to admit when your screwing things up ……… but at the moment that’s how I’m feeling on the cut.

so yesterday I agreed to go running with a mate at 6.15am, 8.5km later I changed my shirt and went straight for an hours boxing training at 7.15.

ate around 11 and then again at 3.30 before lifting at 4.30 (upper body, bench 4x8 at 225 which is decent for me). Went from that straight to play a tennis match, finished at 9pm and met a girl I like who was out with some mates (she’s really decent this girl. Stunning and we are ridiculously well suited to each other, both like each other but it’s really fcuking complicated and definitely ducking with my head - just what one needs on tren lol)

got home at midnight, head spinning, maybe slept two hours before getting up for work. Maybe ate 1,500 calories max.

I know exactly what is needed on a cut, I’ve literally done it last summer and logged it on here and yet this year I’m missing targets left right and Center. Didnt train today as one I needed to eat to avoid losing more lean mass but I also know I respond best to high frequency of training. 5 days always gets me better results.

on the plus side, I’m definitely in a deficit, but I’m screwing my metabolism up and unless I stabilise it I know I’ll be shafted after I finish.

but this is where I guess some experience comes in. It’s not my first time making stupid mistakes (and there’s pussy involved so 🤷) and I know I just start with the basics again tomorrow. Get tracking, get consistent with calories, lift and keep protein up.

I’m gonna aim for 3,000 cals, lower than I’d like at this stage but with the clen and everything else it should be a deficit still and it should be enough to drive some additional lean mass hopefully.

so yeah, that’s where we are at. It’s not ideal but tomorrow is a new day.

i doubt you are losing a lot of muscle mass, even at those lower calories, tren is so anticatabolic it is probably holding on for dear life.

You might look at something like the Ultimate Diet 2.0 where you keep a massive deficit all week then crush carbs and low fat for about 48 hours and get right back on. It should replenish leptin levels a bit and keep restoring the metabolism regularly. I think I have a copy of the diet if you want to check it out. If not I can give you most of the details. I have used it before with good luck, and in the situation you just described it might be a good way out of the mess.

Okay let me see if I can find that bad boy in the cloud. If not I should have it in my external drive at home. It is by Lyle McDonald and should also be relatively easy to find on the net if I can't locate it. I will PM you my email once I find it.

Gotta get the food in bro.

Make it simple; prep meals, pay for prepped meals, pack dry stuff in your car and office, or have places you can get food on the go you can know the calories & macros. I mean any food is better than crash dieting routinely, and I am not exaggerating.

There’s no reason you can’t keep tubs/packets/RTDs of protein & shakers, jars of nuts or nut butter & tbsp, bags of jerky & dried fruit stashed all over to dial in exact macros on the run. You got this!

We all know what you eat and when matters, but the fundamental base layer in the pyramid of nutritional impact is calorie intake.

Right then. Today was a better day. Hit the calories (currently eating my final meal).

weight this morning 228.5 but it’s bouncing around a bit. Certainly down from the start as one would expect. Vascularity appears to be improving slightly still, normally a good marker for me.

Training today was slightly off script, wanted to pull a heavy single just to get a marker to set some numbers for my next 8 weeks programming. 462 felt heavy if not totally maximal so I called it there. Just shows the negative effect lack of sleep and consistency can have even on gear (I pulled that easier pre cycle). But it’s fine. Goal isn’t strength and I know we’ll improve on that at the end of the run.

hit some back of sets and loads of reverse hyper, then some arms for the feels.

definitely feel refocused so hopefully we can start to be more consistent through the next 6 weeks or so (may extend this to 12 weeks depending on how we are going and bloodwork)

You're only what, 4 weeks in? I wouldn't worry tooooo much about the scale numbers, you don't need me to remind you they are merely a guide to how you're trending over time...and you're trending in the right direction. And from memory your first post said your goal weight was 225sh, so not far from where you weigh now? How you look, in the mirror, is clearly the more important progress "metric".

The drugs will really be settling in now too. So you have the best most productive period coming.

Ok so 5 weeks in tomorrow. Scale weight this morning 227.5.

been better with calories the last few days, more consistently up around 3,000 or a shade over.

legs yesterday, solid but nothing stunning

4x6 at 297
Leg press 3x15 at 440
Reverse hyper, 3x15 at 100

starting a proper strength program Monday, i prefer set numbers and overload. Not had my head in the game training really, going through the motions a bit so looking forward to having to focus properly when the weights get heavy.

life and work a touch hectic of late but have to say this is a pretty nice cycle in terms of sides. The sleep definitely isn’t great but outside of that I feel pretty good, no bouts of rage etc. I’m feeling kinky and horny but that’s no different to normal.

we’ll see what the update pics show tomorrow

Good day thus far today.

sleep was solid again last night. I recall last year my sleep did improve a little the longer the cycle went on so hopefully we can get a bit more in that regard.

scale weight this morning 231, I easy bounce 4lbs over the course of a day so it’s not a surprise.

got my head into training today. Only had 50 mins so superset chest and back

4x6 chins (not weighted, I’m not Hyde 😂)
4x10 bench @ 198 (less rest than normal)

3x12 t bar row 154 (pause at top)
3x8 dips

3x12 wide grip inverted row
3x10 flye press (I love these for chest, imo even better than cables)

3 sets matrix 21s for bi’s, just the bar
3x20 band tricep pushdown

great pump, really felt good. Really enjoyed the session.

feel like we might be getting sh1t back on track. Calories on track at the moment and a massive pork tomahawk ready to be grilled 👌

Update pics for 5 weeks in. Actually happy with this one, feel like fat is definitely visibly coming off finally and if I look back to well one progress is in the right direction.

hoping the ghk cu and snap 8 help to tighten the skin. Been lazy on the derma rolling so going to start that (I know nothing will tighten it fully aside from surgery but I feel like it wouldn’t take much to be more acceptable to me so some small gains would be great).

thank you brother, appreciate that. Another mate mentioned the shoulders but I see them as massive weak points 🤷 this is one of the reasons I like to post photos, like most is us I struggle to be that objective when it comes to my own body

Delts def looking larger and more prominent. Chest even more so, particularly outer upper, tying into anterior delt. And like Dustin said, those abs are creeping out.

This right here. Strike while the iron is hot!

I've always seen this game as like waves in the ocean. Make the best of the good waves and minimize the damage of the bad waves.
nice analogy. I might have to ask to borrow that (I could do with having a few none sex related analogies in the arsenal)…..

Start of week 6, had an early start (women 🤣) and went from that to boxing. Ate worked and hit legs.

was only a medium effort day so

Reverse hyper 3x15

5x5 back squat at 275 (did it unbelted, no pre, no hype, weight moved really well, I mean it should but normally a tendency to make lighter weights harder than it should be)

bent over rows, underhand grip, 3x10 at 200

Rdl’s 3x10 at 200

bulgarian split squats 3x10 es

reverse hyper to finish 3x15

the reverse hyper is making a massive difference already, wish I’d had one in my last bulk, unbelievable how much better I feel using one before and after.

played tennis tonight but upped carbs today to compensate and cleared just over 3k cals.

solid day for sure

Starting to really find my feet in this run.

5km this morning, went to the gym with a girl, didn’t train, mainly just looked at her ass 🙈

back home, decent amount of food and then trained upper body. Was a medium effort bench day (yesterday was actually a light squat session technically).

5x2 bench at 231
Front raises 3x10 at 61.6
Arms and abs (ab roll outs today but been doing stir the pot more recently after Hyde mention it)

Veins starting to pop again now. Abs definitely becoming more prevalent.

played tennis tonight, made sure I got my last 1,200 cals in after though.

Had a squirted last night, and not the kind where a good women is gushing that sweet nectar into your face, nope the kind where you pull the needle out and feel the geyser effect 😂 awaited the tren cough but whether it was the longer ester or I just got lucky it never happened. Second time in 4 years I’ve had a gusher (this one wasn’t as bad as the first tbf, I also always keep kitchen towel near by after the last time so limited the blood spillage) Aftermath below

Ok so another decent day. Again the sleep more consistent. It’s not as good as normal (not close) but it’s also better than the first 5 weeks and certainly more than bearable like this.

calories were on the money again today. protein especially good ((280g).

training was awesome. Boxed this morning but ate and recovered after, then deadlifts. Used pure workout for the first time since March (too many variables to say if it made all the difference but it’s fair to say it probably helped.

so last week I pulled 462 as a ‘see where I’m at’ lift.

today was meant to be a triple at 418 but as a red Day if there is an extra rep or two there I take it.

ended up going

Dead 6 reps 418
Dead 3x3 at 385
Good mornings 3x10 132
Belt squat 3x15 at 200

so a big leap in performance this week, probably mindset more than anything but does feel like everything is kicking in. That weight on a cut is good for me, probably close to the best I’ve pulled at this bw and obviously no peaking at this stage at all.

very happy this week. only stumbling block is taking the kids to see some family for the next 4 days. I love the time with the kids and we are seeing some family we haven’t seen for years which is great but they live in the middle of nowhere and I’m not sure where there’s a gym I can use - obviously keen not to lose momentum so going to see what I can find when I’m there 💪💪

You got this man, if you can't find a gym do hand stand push ups, regular push ups, single arm push ups, pull ups, chins, a lot of single leg work like Bulgarian Split Squats, Reverse and regular lunges, Sissy Squats, and then of course pick up and carry anything around that is heavy or awkward and move it around... You will find a way!

ive found a boat 🤣 can hold one goblet style and seems to work for squats (too heavy to press)…..

without going into detail I’m at a house owned by some extended family. It’s massive (very wealthy) so there’s actually loads of things I can adapt 👌

Ok so first update for a few days.

obviously being away messed with a few things. Training couldn’t be on program, I made an error assuming I would be able to find a gym to hit and therefore didn’t take any bands, trx and kettle bells (all of which I have). Ultimately with the family time and location it just wasn’t feasible at all to get to a gym (I had my young kids as well so would have needed someone able to look after them witch didn’t pan out).

I d1cked around with the boat, was able to do a landmine style press and a goblet squat that finished a touch high, did some bodyweight stuff just to move and was generally active and moving about but there was very very limited resistance until today (since last Wednesday).

diet while away was ok, I was in someone else’s house so didn’t have much control over it but they eat pretty well and I was able to add protein in throughout the day in a few ways. Averaged between 2.5k and 2.8k cals for the 4 days.

haven’t been able to weigh but will do so tomorrow morning at my normal time on my home scales for a true reflection. My guess would be no change but we’ll see.

pics are a day late but wanted to use my normal position and lighting for a proper update. I think no change but that’s expected imo.

did train when I got home today. Joined two of the sessions together I missed for a full body.

squat 5x2 at 308 (this should be easy for me but my cns down regulates really quickly normally so I was happy with how easy these were)

rdl 3x10 at 200

bench 1x4 at 247.5 (meant to be a triple but a red session so take the extra if there)
3x3 at 220

chins 4x6 BW

had something to eat and went to the corporate gym in the evening and did some over head pressing and arms. Pump stuff really.

drug wise I couldn’t take my peptides away with me (asking to put a lock box in the fridge of a family members house isn’t something even I could blag 🤣) but took all my other stuff. Increased tren to 600 a week (mast still at 400 and test at 400). I’m sleeping ok now and I like to taper up the androgens but don’t want to use orals (decided I feel way better on cycle not using them) so tren seemed the obvious choice (sexual exploits defo on the cards now😜)

so back at it, the time away was family time with my daughters which will always come first so whilst it was frustrating as stuff was moving well it is what it is.

this week will be good I can feel it
